Demons are a strange race. Originally from Hell, demons are infamous for being slackers with potentially great power within them.
When God died and Lucifer very shortly afterwards left on "vacation", demons were kind of left without much of a purpose. Yeah, they hadn't done much before, but man, the piles of nothing to do were just mounting up. So, over the last 150 years, they've slowly been making the migration up to Midland.

An uncommon sight among the settled races of Midland, demons are much easier to get along with than angels. Demons understand the middle races much easier as most of them once were mortals too, and are typically quite drywitted and funny. Demons as a whole are found almost everywhere in Midland, as no actual civilisation or society exists among them.

Demons take the appearance of unusually attractive humans with grey, black, dark blue or dark red skintones. Spade tails and small horns on the forehead are common on demons, and some even have hoofed feet (with female hoofed demons having natural high heels.) There are very, very few ugly demons.

Demons come with an innate bonus to their physical strength and are flame retardant, but suffer in the presence of silver and some holy symbols.
Special demons exist out there; Lords of Hell once held important positions under the Devil, with relevant abilities, but now mostly try to live a normal life on Midland.
