- Route Notes for Main Quest Order Inbounds by RooseSR. I will keep this pastebin updated to whatever my current route is at the time so it is subject to change as things are found or improved.
- EXP:
- 6x50 before first meeting Opher + 100 orb underneath Opher for 400 to buy Sentry
- Before first town shop:
- 200 right of dash
- 50 on roof at beetleboss skip
- 100 above bash tree
- 100 in roof above entrance to bash area
- 100 in roof secret area above entrance to bash area
- 100 orb above Opher in town
- 50 orb above Opher in town
- Before Opher in the Mill:
- 100 above spitter on the way to the mill
- 200 inside big wheel in first mill room
- 100 in secret area on the bottom of the large rotating puzzle room
- 100 to your left in final mill room before escape
- Total: 1200 (300 for Overcharge, 500 for TPA, 400 for Splinter 2)
- Shopping Trips:
- Town 1: Overcharge, Splinter 2
- Opher in Mill: Teleport Anywhere
- Quick Health:
- 1 above Twillen when you enter the Kwolok Statue
- The fastest second one to take is in Mouldwood in the room with the two keystones midway through. If you want safety health earlier than this, there is a health fragment above you when you first exit out of the mill, near where Tokk first is. It's only a few seconds slower and gets you the health much earlier.
- Quick Energy:
- 1 in secret area near Bow Tree
- 1 behind breakable wall on the way to dash
- 1 near the entrance to the bash area (right of breakable floor)
- 1 in the underground puzzle room below the mill
- 1 in Windswept in a secret area you tunnel too shortly after Burrow
- 1 in Windswept above first suicide worm door puzzle
- Keys:
- All 4 in Luma on first visit, used on Luma Door
- All 4 in upper Baur's, use on upper Baur's Door
- 1 from lower Baur's (windy spike cave), to be used on Mouldwood Door
- 1 to the left near Mouldwood Entrance, to be used on Mouldwood Door
- 1 in deep Mouldwood under a health cell, to be used on the Windswept Wastes Door
- 1 in Windswept Wastes under a Gorluk, to be used on the Windswept Wastes Door
- Note on Silent Keys: If you are doing Door Skip (Which is significantly faster but quite difficult) then you want to collect just the one keystone in Howl's Den above the door and leave with it. You will use this keystone in place of the 4th keystone in Silent down below that triggers the Shriek cutscene. If you do not do Door Skip, you will need to collect all 4 keys in Silent, as well as collect both keys in Howl's Den. Also note that if you do door skip, you can save collecting the underwater Luma Pools key until after you have water dash, speeding it up.
- General Route Outline:
- Collect 400 EXP in order to buy Sentry the first time you meet Opher. While doing this, get Reckless, then continue along doing Dash and Bash largely as intended. Be sure to grab Quick Shot after Dash and Splinter on the way out of Bash. Skip Beetleboss as fighting him with Splinter upgraded is significantly faster. Upon reaching town, do not repair the TP, Do your shopping at Twillen, then continue to the mill and complete it. Be sure to purchase Teleport Anywhere from Opher at the top of the mill.
- After the mill, swim into Luma Pools and get Water Dash, completing the area up to the second teleporter. Warp to the far right, skip beetleboss again, and complete Silent as intended.
- After Silent, warp to the top of the mill and go to Baur's Reach and complete it. After Baur's warp to deep Luma Pools and kill Kwolok. Then, warp to near Beetleboss, fight him, and go into Mouldwood and kill Mora. Skip flash, using Bow to keep yourself alive.
- After Mora, warp to the far right and enter Windswept Wastes. Do Feeding Grounds Skip and complete the area as well as Windtorn Ruins. Then, warp to near Feeding Grounds and get Launch, then complete Willow and fight Shriek to end the game.
- Alternatives: You can do Mora before Kwolok if you would rather have more energy for Kwolok and less for Mora, there is no time difference between the two.
- Shards:
- You will just always keep Splinter and Quick Shot on once you get them. You generally want to have Overcharge on all the time during any part of the run that isn't boss fights. Also use overcharge in all of the fight rooms.
- Kwolok: Reckless in place of Overcharge. You will need to refill on the energy crystal once before you trigger him to start filling the arena with water.
- Hornbug: Overcharge.
- Mora: Overcharge for part 1 before the chase sequence, as the energy crystal is far away. After the chase, switch to Reckless.
- Elemental: Overcharge
- Shriek: Overcharge for the part before the escape sequence. Remove it when the escape starts due to the damage you will take in the escape. Put on reckless once the second phase of the fight starts.
