  1. Baseball is back. Hell yea dude, time for predictions so I can look back and laugh at how much I believed in the Mariners/DBacks. Don't expect anything too bold, I'm a big pussy.
  2.
  3. Predictions by division (First team listed = first place, etc.)
  4. NL West: Dodgers, Giants, DBacks, Rockies, Padres
  5. Comments: I'm gonna overrate the DBacks again. I really like the DBacks, I refuse to believe they're bad. Pollock is healthy,
  6. Greinke could bounce back. Rockies biggest add was Desmond at first base?????? Very strange. I could see the Giants winning the
  7. divison but I hate the Giants, so second place it is.
  8. NL Central: Cubs, Cardinals, Pirates, Reds, Brewers
  9. Comments: The Brewers might finish above the Reds but it doesn't really matter. I don't see a big shake up in this division unless
  10. McCutchen starts playing like an all star again, then maybe the Pirates get second. Fowler move and Lynn coming back after missing
  11. all of last season has me feeling decent about the Cards, their bullpen is a lil shaky tho.
  12. NL East: Nats, Mets, Marlins, Braves, Phillies
  13. Comments: Nats are real good. Some of the pitchers on the Mets are made of glass, I don't think the Mets are gonna do great this
  14. season. Braves made these weird moves that make them not the worst but still not good. Phillies have potential in the future, not
  15. seeing them doing too much now.
  16. AL West: Astros, Mariners, Rangers, Angels, A's
  17. Comments: Astros have been hyped up for a while, I think this could be a good year for them. Hopeful bounceback year for Keuchel,
  18. Correa and Altuve continue being super good. I believe in the Mariners. Their rotation is questionable but I think their offense is
  19. so good that they can make the playoffs. Rangers one run game record from last year is obviously not sustainable but they honestly
  20. still could have a big season with a full season of Darvish.
  21. AL Central: Indians, Tigers, Royals, Twins, White Sox
  22. Comments: I dunno if the White Sox are actually worse than the Twins but the White Sox are probably going to continue to trade
  23. people away so they could get last place. I want them to get last place, so this prediction is partly fueled by my heart instead of
  24. my mind. If the Indians don't win this division it will be wacky. Tigers did like nothin this offseason. Royals could have some
  25. dudes bounce back but I still don't see them doing anything too surprising.
  26. AL East: Red Sox, Blue Jays, Orioles, Yankees, Rays
  27. Comments: I wanna put the Yankees ahead of the Orioles but the Orioles always do better than I think so I'm gonna keep it like
  28. this. Rays aren't bad but they're not that great either. Red Sox lost Ortiz but added Sale, so I think they'll do well.
  29.
  30. AL Wild Card: Blue Jays, Mariners
  31. NL Wild Card: Cardinals, Giants
  32. AL Champ: Indians
  33. NL Champ: Nationals
  34. World Series Champ: Indians
  35. Comments: My predictions are pretty standard. Strasburg stops dying before the playoffs and is able to dominate with Scherzer to
  36. get to the World Series. Indians rotation is super good and hopefully healthy this time around. Their lineup is great, I think they
  37. get back and win the World Series. I was tempted to make the prediction of Mariners/Cards w/ Mariners winning just to be bold, but
  38. I don't believe in either team's pitching enough to realistically get there. Could happen tho, playoffs are crazy.
  39.
  40. Awards(Rational and Sleeper pick):
  41. AL MVP: Mike Trout | Francisco Lindor
  42. Comments: Is Lindor a sleeper? I dunno. With Trout being as good as he is, I feel like pretty much anyone else is a sleeper.
  43. NL MVP: Paul Goldschmidt | AJ Pollock
  44. Comments: Gee willikers this looks familiar. As noted earlier, I have an irrational belief in the DBacks, probably because these
  45. guys are so good. And Pollock isn't injured for the whole season this time around
  46. AL Cy Young: Chris Sale | Jose Quintana
  47. Comments: This one looks p familiar too. I wouldn't doubt Sale gets it now that he has a good team with a competent defense. And
  48. I'm too much of a homer not to put Quintana as my sleeper.
  49. NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw | Noah Syndergaard
  50. Comments: Had to edit this in, forgot it at first. Kershaw is too good man. Syndergaard throws real fast tho so maybe he has a
  51. chance.
  52. AL ROY: Andrew Benintendi | Jharel Cotton
  53. Comments: Andrew Chicken Tender is a real easy pick. He's already looked good so I don't doubt he'll continue that. Cotton looked
  54. fantastic is his short stint last year. He may have just been lucky but who knows.
  55. NL ROY: Dansby Swanson | idk
  56. Comments: Would put Reyes as the sleeper but he had to go and hurt himself. Swanson still qualifying as a rookie is wack but since
  57. he does, he's the easy pick.
  58. AL Manager of the Year: Scott Servais(Mariners)
  59. NL Manager of the Year: Torey Lovullo(DBacks)
  60. AL Comeback Player: Michael Brantley
  61. NL Comeback Player: Lance Lynn
  62. Comments: No sleepers for these ones since they're pretty minor. Pretty easy predictions, the two teams I think are gonna exceed
  63. expectations have their managers as manager of the year. Two players that had major injuries last year that I think will come back
  64. strong as the comeback players.
  65.
  66. Hopefully this wasn't too awful to read, formatting was weird with comments and writing has been my weak point for a long time. Looking forward to this season, gonna be awesome to watch.
