  23. %description
  24. G'MIC defines a complete image processing framework, and thus
  25. can manage generic image data as other image-related tools.
  26.
  27. Anyway, the specific features described below make it a bit particular :
  28.
  29. * It internally works with lists of images.
  30. Image manipulations and interactions can be done
  31. either grouped or focused on specific items.
  32. * It can process a wide variety of image types,
  33. including multi-spectral (arbitray number of channels)
  34. and 3d volumetric images, as well as image sequences,
  35. or 3d vector objects.
  36. Images with different pixel types are supported,
  37. allowing to process flawlessly images with 8bits or
  38. 16bits integers per channel, as well as float-valued datasets.
  39. * It provides small but efficient visualization modules
  40. dedicated to the exploration/viewing of 2d/3d multi-spectral images,
  41. 3d vector objects (elevation map, isocurves, isosurfaces,...),
  42. or 1d graph plots.
  43. * It proposes commands to handle custom interactive windows
  44. where events can be managed easily by the user.
  45. * It is highly extensible through the importation of custom command
  46. files which add new commands that become understood by the
  47. language interpreter.
  48. * Most of the functionalities can be used inside GIMP
  49. via the provided plug-in, allowing end-users to integrate
  50. any G'MIC-based pipeline directly in a nice GUI,
  51. without coding efforts.
  52. * It is based on the latest development versions of the CImg Library,
  53. a well established C++ template image processing toolkit,
  54. developed by the same team of developers.

  74. %description -n %{name}-zart
  75. ZArt is a computer program whose purpose is to demonstrate the possibilities of
  76. the G'MIC image processing language by offering the choice of several
  77. manipulations on a video stream acquired from a webcam.

  94. %description -n gimp-plugin-%{name}
  95. G'MIC has been made available as an easy-to-use plug-in for GIMP.
  96. It extends this retouching software capabilities by offering a large number of
  97. pre-defined image filters and effects.
  98. Of course, the plug-in is highly customizable and it is possible to add your
  99. own custom G'MIC-written filters in it.
