Falshoviin is after revenge for the wrong doing against him. In his past life, he was an immensely powerful elven druid that watched over the Wolfwood, which is now known as the Shadow Vale. When the Shadow Vale became infested with shadowy monsters and evil beasts that were attacking Westerich, it was Falshoviin who was blamed for it after desperation drove King Godwin uth Ridderic I to extreme measures. The king sent his forces into the forest to find and slay Falshoviin within his grove which succeeded at great cost - the forest and the druid together claimed hundreds of lives. In reality, it was out of Falshoviin's control. It was unfortunate after a groundshaking event altered the Everdark, it caused a tear among all the realms which happened to be centered in the Wolfwood. Since then, the Wolfwood has been known as the Shadow Vale. Due to the magical nature of the Shadow Vale, 200 years later Falshoviin rose from the from a tree in his grove as a Sylvan and seeks revenge that can only be sated by destroying all of Westerich. He could be talked into sparing the kingdom, but he will only accept the king's firstborn as a sacrifice. At which point he will leave the kingdom be, and when the orc army arrives he will turn the Shadow Vale against them - he will go back to serving the vale once more as it's guardian.
