- Background (In Progress): Desert Death World Bounty Hunter, recruited by the Rogue Trader to serve as Arch-militant.
- Zaim was born on the planet Bactris, a Death World of endless deserts and scaled apex predators. Life on Bactris is dangerous for those not in the major settlements (though it's still quite dangerous even in the largest city). After serving his stint in the Imperial Guard (just a four-year conscription, as the planet needs the soldiers to guard settlements after they have been hardened in the Guard), he returned to his home planet, and decided to start work as a Bounty Hunter. Due to the treacherous distances between settlements, normal law enforcement has difficulty pursuing criminals who flee from one settlement to another. Bounty Hunters must learn to survive in the vast expanses of dangerous desert, and still track their prey in the process. Zaim became quite good at this job.
- Unfortunately, in the course of his work, two lieutenants of a Crime Baron attempting to expand his own influence to the planet were caught and brought back to face the Emperor's justice. The Crime Baron took exception to this, and started issuing hits on Zaim. As a result, Zaim was forced to flee the planet, finding work on the ship of the Rogue Trader to get him offworld.
