  1. "For all we know you're a drooling moron who doesn't know which end of his weapon to point at a raid boss. Explain why we should recruit you anyways?"
  2.
  3. I'm a firm believer in the philosophy that states "Anything worth doing is worth over-doing" which so far in my game, seems to have paid off. You'll rarely catch me complaining about a heroic being too easy, because while I enjoy a challenge and probably wouldn't play if there weren't things I found hard, I also kinda like being OP and feeling the progression of a toon, now carving through content that at one point I found difficult. I have solo healed most of Naxx10, with the exception of the Four Horsemen, Thaddius and Noth (for logistical reasons), just because I thought it'd be fun to try. I absolutely love finding ways to make squishy-content more interesting, and yes, thats a nod in the direction of SHeroics (which I totally thought was gonna be a feminist thing, by the way!)

  5. You should recruit me because unlike the majority of the player-base, I know when it's appropriate to use grammar, and communicate with sentences of more than three syllables! (I'm not a language-nazi, I just don't understand how you can coordinate a raid with fragmented sentences!!) You should recruit me because, basically, despite what I'm told by my less-charming friends, I think I'm a decent person to have around.

  7. Where I'm coming from:
  8.
  9. When the levelling guild I grew up in blew up because the leadership decided they wanted to graduate up to a raiding guild, I stole a bunch of friends and formed a guild of my own. We levelled alts together there, mostly, while learning the ropes in the early days of Naxx 10 and 25 with our mains in other guilds. Thing is, none of us were really having fun on our mains the same way we were when we were playing together, so we consolidated, moved all toons into my little alt-turned-raiding guild and I was nominated raid leader.

  13. Anyway, we struggled, at first. Recruitment was slow into a guild that hadn't yet cleared Naxx when Ulduar came out, but we were more family than guildmates, and we persevered. A lot of us were under experienced, and so after killing KT a few times (back in the day when that took more than a stern look and a sharp stick) we found the difficulty jump into Ulduar a little more than we could handle. (to this day I still have not cleared Ulduar, it's my white whale) Things lulled, because as it turns out wiping on Ignis for an entire evening isn't that entertaining, but we stuck together just because we loved *playing* together, progression didn't matter as long as we were having fun, right?

  15. So then 3.2 hit, and we'd been just, sorta, you know, gearing up. It happens by accident sometimes. The whole coliseum thing went pretty well for us, and we got ourselves into a position where on day one of ICC we were at the front lines, with everyone else, one-shotting Marrowgar. However, this story does not come with a happy ending, since "IRL" worked it's magic and we lost a lot of our raiding team almost at the same time. Those of us left still ran content with pugs filling the empty slots, but the pugs were less forgiving when things didn't go, ahem, "to plan" and they didn't laugh at my bad jokes! (shock horror!) Anyway the pugging drama led to guild arguments, which led to eventual guild destruction.

  17. After that, I joined one so-called 25 man guild who were less organised than my shoe collection (which is not very organised at all), before making the move to Stormrage after being accepted into another 25 man guild here. Everyone was friendly and charming, but I quickly came to realise that I just don't like 25 mans! There's too many people to get to know really *well* like I was used to, and the co-ordination required can often make the leadership act like school teachers. I don't like being condescended on in my leisure time! Oh and the emails sent out en-masse telling us we're not using the guild forums enough, that was a massive turn off. So I said my polite goodbyes, and /gquit, faction-transferred to the Horde (on somewhat of a whim, but I must admit I've always had a thing for the Tauren) and played the pugging game, while working on my tanking gear. I was badgered into joining a terribad guild, which lasted a day or two before inane /g made me want to murder someone. They'll never find the body, it's all good.
  18.
  19. What I want? Decent people with a sense of humour, fun times and some raiding. Ten mans are my niche and where I see myself staying come Cataclysm.
  20.
  21. Oh and I always carry a stash of fish feasts.
  22.
  23. You guys accept bribes?
