September 2016 Speedplans

Today is Monday (not really) and this is a pastebin

I've been trying to write this pastebin for weeks but have never been able to finish it while it's still Monday. So this week I'm writing it on Sunday, just to make sure I finish it before Monday ends.

I had wanted to run pm64 several weeks ago. I had learnt any% no ww, and attempted a few runs, although was never able to finish one, all while still grinding spm. Then, I went away to see my family in Colorado for 3 weeks, far longer then I initially anticipated, and during that time, wasn't doing much of anything. In that time, I've forgotten much of pm64 (like I knew it so well to begin with) and still haven't been able to pb in spm.

I'm far from satisfied with my spm pb, I'd like to improve it by at least 2 minutes, ideally 3, considering it was bad, and I'm now playing on wii u, which is so much faster. I'm also a lot more motivated to play spm now because bounceyboy helped me install homebrew on my wii, and chobin50 set up save files for every chapter to practice, and this makes practice so much easier.

Unfortunately, I'm returning to school in a week, so I'm not sure how often I'll be able to speedrun. My immediate goal is 4:21 in spm any%, as I want to quit that terrible game forever as soon as possible, and before I have to start taking school seriously again. I'd also really like to do pm64, and run that seriously, and as bad a meme as it is, I'd like to do spm 100% once or twice. pm64 I think will be great during school, because it's really short, and I won't have as much time for a 4 hour run every day, so hopefully I can pb in spm soon, and then do pm64.

Color Splash releases in early October, I'm really excited for it, and I'll definitely run that as soon as it's released. I'm not sure how long it will be, and therefore, not yet sure how often I'll be able to do runs, but I intend to run that seriously while running pm64 at the same time. (If I haven't gotten 4:21 in spm before pmcs, I'll be really pissed.)

I intend to submit spm to agdq (I think submissions open around now lol) and I anticipate it being rejected, although if it somehow isn't (then the gdq staff must be really stupid Keepo ) I'll do spm no reset runs every week or two so I don't forget how to play the game. If it isn't accepted, I'm not sure if I'll go to agdq. I'd like to go, but traveling to Washington takes time and is expensive.

After I run pmcs, I'd like to keep running pm64, if not any% no ww, then I'd like to run all cards, and if I can ever get a 3ds capture card, I'd really like to run sticker star. I've been wanting to run sticker star for years now, but was never motivated to learn it because I'd have no way to record it.
