Why always the lies, BRADLEY?

Alexithymiaa: -Brad sat at his computer in the process of going through some resumes in his email, scanning each one, but honestly he was just annoyed there werent pictures attached because he just wanted a hot assistant. He had a few tabs on his browser open for him to search the names on the resumes with social media so he could stalk his assistant candidates, leaving open a couple that he liked so he could go back to them once he was done going through all of the resumes.-
Covet: Kelsey had just gotten Connor down and made her way over to Brad's dorm, knocking on it as she went in. "Kiddo is down and out for the count. How goes work?" She asked him as she walked over leaning on his chair.
Alexithymiaa: "Well first I booked my flight for Anna's video shoot in a couple weeks. And now I'm going through the resumes of people applying to be my assistant. I don't really know how to pick one." He said with a shrug, opening the next one and then switching over to Facebook to try to search them.-
Covet: "You just now booked those flights? Bradly you should have done that a WHILE ago. You desperately need this assistant. I swear." She told him then looked at his screen browsing the applicants with him. "What about that one?" She asked him, pointing the face book he was looking at.
Alexithymiaa: "Well I did it, didn't I?" He shot back with a shrug, looking at the screen and scrolling the facebook. "I dont know, he's kind of.... old. I want someone younger. Someone closer to our age that can keep up a little better since everything is usually kind of chaotic."-
Covet: "That makes sense." Kelsey said nodding her head, "So then look at the younger ones then. No point in wasting your time on things you already know you don't want."
Alexithymiaa: "Well yeah, but I cant legally ask people's ages in their resume. I'm pretty sure that would get me in trouble." He opened thhe next resume, beginning thhe social media search on her. "Am I supposed to call their references?"-
Covet: "Bradley, you already do, when you ask their birthday. You just have to do a little math." Kelsey told him with a laugh then gave a shrug, "If you think their references are worth noting yeah. But I've never been called for someone's reference."
Alexithymiaa: "Their resume doesnt have their birthday. You dont ask their birthday until you do actual hiring paperwork. I dont have like an application or anything for them to fill out. That was a lot of work." He's lazy. Thhis is why he needs an assistant. "What about her? She's cute." He said, gesturing to thhe profile he was on even thhough thhis chick only had part time retail experience on her resume.-
Covet: "Oh, well, then why don't you starting asking for applications instead of resumes, then you could see their birthday." Kelsey told him. She looked at the screen, "Yeah, she is but look at her pics, she parties a lot, which means, she's not going to be doing good work for you."
Alexithymiaa: "Well... yeah, but..." he trailed off, not having a real comeback to Kelsey's sound logic. "Okay, so not her." He opened the next one of this guy who essentially looked like a model because every picture was with his shirt off flexing his abs and shit. "Oh, I like him."-
Covet: "Oooh, I also like him. He looks yummy. What's his work history?" Kelsey asked him
Alexithymiaa: -Brad went back to the resume and opened it, scanning it quickly. "Not bad. Some basic admin work and..." He trailed off as he read it, beginning to smirk. "He was one of those guys who stands outside Abercrombie and Fitch with their shirt off, greeting people."-
Covet: "Well I think that was pretty obvious because of the photos. Admin work is better than no work. Anything that stands out besides him being professionally shirtless?"
Alexithymiaa: "Mostly just that he's professionally shirtless." he said with a fucking grin because he loved this guy already. "I should call him and set up an interview or something, right?"-
Covet: Kelsey gave a shrug, "Yeah it couldn't hurt to interview him. He's got some potential at the very least. Are you going to line a few up them up?" She asked.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I'm going to just take a day after I finish my finals and dedicate it to interviews. Probably that Monday or something. I want to interview at least five people so I can have a good pool to pick from. That's good, right?"-
Covet: "I think that's a good pool. Should give you a decent amount of variety. And smart of you to wait until after finals." Kelsey told him proudly. She looked over the things on his desk, just sort of browsing. " You've been taking are of quite a bit lately."
Alexithymiaa: "Well I've been busy. I havent had much of a choice, but to take care of everything that comes my way considering i dont have an assistant yet. Which thankfully will change soon. I want to have someone by the time I leave for LA for Anna's shoot so they can manage things here while I'm gone for a few days."-
Covet: "I wasn't just meaning in regards to this, I was meaning about putting my display case together too, I know it must have been hard for you to finally sit down and get it put together correctly." She told him her eyes catching a glimmer of said words, about the display case. But it wasn't from where it was purchased at.
Alexithymiaa: "Well yeah it was hard, but..." He shrugged, trying to find his words to make a convincing lie. "It needed to get done and I didnt want you to have to wait forever for it just because it was difficult for me."-

Covet: "Mhhm." Kelsey said as she reached for the reciept pulling it out. "What's this for?" She asked him, curious. "Did you have to return it or something?" She asked reading it over for herself.
Alexithymiaa: -He turned his head to look at the receipt she was holding, pulling it out of her hands so he could look at it and then freezing because uh oh, caught. "Oh... I needed... more things for it. It was missing things. That's why it says assembly, because it couldnt be assembled without those things."-
Covet: "Uh huh, and that's why it says Assembly done by Richard too?" She asked him crossing her arms. "Did you take credit for Richard's work Bradly?"
Alexithymiaa: (I heard thhe mom tone and Im dead)
Alexithymiaa: "Richard was the cashier." He spoke quickly even though that makes no fucking sense with this receipt.-
Covet: Kelsey gave him a look and didn't say anything she was just going to give him that mom stare down until he started to crack.
Covet: [XD]
Alexithymiaa: -He looked up to make eye contact with her briefly, but looked down again because she was staring at him and he was going to start to sweat any minute if she continued. "I told you I would do it and you needed it and I needed to get it done as soon as possible and I'm so busy with all of the video stuff and I didnt really have time to struggle with it since you needed it and it was all over your room."-
Covet: "Then why didn't you just say that. I would have been happy with you and it if you did it or someone else did. You didn't have to lie about it, multiple times." Kelsey said to him, sliding off his desk.
Alexithymiaa: -He peaked up at her looking guilty as fuck. "Yeah, but I told you I would do it for you. And then I didnt. I thought you'd be mad at me for not being the one to do it when I told you I would."-
Covet: "Bradley, I was happy with you even thinking about it. If you couldn't put it together, then I don't care if you have someone else do it. Not everyone is a handyman." She said, " But to lie about something this silly, is just...childish. Even Connor knows better."
Alexithymiaa: "I'm handy!" He interjected, clearly offended that she thinks he sucks at this sort of thing even though he definitely does indeed suck at this. "I just didnt have the time to figure it out."-
Covet: "And you lied about it." Kelsey told him. "It's late I don't want to argue about this. It's just stupid to lie about something like this. I don't care if you had no time, or if you couldn't do it, it was wrong to make me believe it was you when it wasn't. I'm going to go get in bed, I have to be up early in the morning." She told him and headed for the door so that she could ge get herself ready for bed, mildy irritated at Brad.
Alexithymiaa: "But..." He started at her back, giving up when she walked out. He felt like he needed to continue to justify himself to her even though she voiced several times that she didnt care about why.-
