  1. Apathy shot the warbot a glance, as though searching for some kind of solidarity in the face of what had just happened. OTTO was typically expressionless, but the electromancer spoke for both of them when she flatly stated: "This is some kind of joke, right? Seriously, if you can teleport, it's not a big deal or anything..." before trailing off at Will's distinctly humourless expression. "Y'know, whatever. As long as we're still trying to get out of this stupid-"
  2.
  3. "Pardon my inquiry-" interrupted the Being "-but you are storing environmental data on that reader of yours, presumably for the benefit of future iterations of yourself, correct?"
  4.
  5. "Well, if the pre-loaded data is anything to go by I haven't found a way to send any information from the battle onward-"
  6.
  7. "Ah."
  8.
  9. "-but I suppose that's the premise, yes."
  10.
  11. O'rylath was silent for a moment, OTTO alone being able to sense (by virtue of their sensors) the Being's attention drifting to the pillar of smoke from the recently exploded ship. "Anyway, Apathy, could you-"
  12.
  13. "-Stop your squealing for a moment and let me think." O'rylath ignored his now-sulking vessel and addressed Will more directly. "Mr. Haven. Despite being... the twenty-seventh, your motivations are still the same as the twenty-sixth - namely, to escape this battle with minimum bloodshed, yes?"
