  1. [02:22] .. and then, as he leaves the dojo, he catches Iskan!

  3. He'd saw him fighting earlier, and was certainly intrigued by his choice of magic.
  4.  
  5. "..Buddy!" He exclaimed. Ahhhh, I forgot his name..
  6.  
  7. "It's me, Yuumi, from the manor. Remember me?" He pondered, staring forward for a moment.
  8.  
  9. "..Saw you in the dojo earlier, wanted to talk to you! Let's go back there, hey?" He spoke, a light and curious tone in his words!
  10. (Yuumi Ivaniss)

  13. [02:25] He'd blink a bit as he's stopped by Yuumi. He hasn't seen Sofia in so long, and is visibly surprised Yuumi remembered him. A small smile would form as he responded, though.
  14.  
  15. "I remember you. I never forget anyone, after all. Though I haven't seen Lady Sofia in awhile..." He'd comment thoughtfully.

  17. "Anyways, sure, we can talk. I'm not in any rush now that I'm no longer a cadet. Lead on."

  21. [02:30] Yuumi wasn't shy to tell people what he wanted anymore, especially since he'd done well in serving his lady- things he wanted were simply within his grasp, now.
  22.  
  23. "I saw you fighting earlier, using, uh, time magic.." He declared, pausing for a moment as he breathed in lightly.
  24.  
  25. "Lady Sofia has taught me the basics. I want to learn more, though. I can't just be stuck learning everything from someone else.
  26.  
  27. .. I mean, I guess that's what I'm doing here. I just want to know how you emulate your time magic.." He murmurs.
  28. (Yuumi Ivaniss)

  31. [02:33] He'd raise a brow at Yuumi, as if a bit confused. Someone's asking him for tutelage? He'd open his mouth to speak, pause for a second, and then go ahead.
  32.  
  33. "How to emulate my time magic? Well... I'm not the best teacher, but I can try to impart a few words of wisdom... Here, let me ask you a question; What is time?" He seems unsure of how to respond at first, but finishes with a loaded question regardless. He'll try to help, even if it's not very good.

  37. [02:38] Maybe emulate was the wrong word- it was what he did, copying the magic of Sofia, copying the magic of other people.. Rather than figuring things out on his own!

  39. "Maybe that's not the right word.. but, uh, sure!" He exclaimed, at the question.
  40.  
  41. "Time is the stream of how we see things. At the same .. you know, rate. We change it with our magic by influencing the air around us. I think of it like a misty type of thing, because it can't actually affect the rest of the world.
  42.  
  43. We take small areas and control their laws of time, altering it. Right?" He pondered, pausing.
  44.  
  45. "It's our imagination coming to life, like illusion magic. Like gravity magic. An area of influence!" He beamed.
  46. (Yuumi Ivaniss)

  50. [02:43] He'd nod as Yuumi talks, listening intently.
  51.  
  52. "Sure, metaphysical magic like gravity or time magic is often like that. Influencing the laws of nature around us. It's like a river, and you're a boulder lodged into the ground. It sounds silly, but learning this type of magic is like that boulder growing arms. It takes those newfound arms and moves itself around, sometimes even altering how the river flows around it in creative ways." He'd stop for a second, hoping this makes sense.

  54. "The different metaphysical magics require a more sharp mind. You can't be swayed by passion or doubt. You have to stand firm, and tackle the problems in front of you intelligently. Logically. I'd say if you want to really be better at any sort of metaphysical magic, you have to be able to separate yourself from the world around you. Focus on the one thing in front of you. Manipulate it." He's say this last part rather animated with his hands. Suddenly getting closer, he'd add on;

  56. "Does that make sense? I've never really... Tried to teach, or give advice."
  57. (Iskan Furthis)

  60. [02:53] Nodding along, it seemed to make sense..
  61.  
  62. Like a river, or a boulder, and altering it- giving the river legs, or giving the boulder arms.
  63.  
  64. "..Right, we have to treat it like a science more than a magic.. It has to be specific, or it can all go wrong!"
  65.  
  66. Being nonspecific when you reversed time could make issues arise!
  67.  
  68. "..Yeah, a little bit. You have to know.. Right what you're doing, or you can mess up things pretty bad.."

  70. He draws in a light breath, pausing.
  71.  
  72. "..Well, to be honest.. I know the basics, and how it works.
  73.  
  74. I want to fight you. To see if I can measure up to someone who knows more already.
  75.  
  76. .. Besides, I do best by watching!"
  77. (Yuumi Ivaniss)

  80. [02:53] Iskan Furthis says, "O-oh."
  81. [02:54] Iskan Furthis says, "Well, we can do that."
  82. [02:54] Yuumi Ivaniss says, "! Sounds swell."
  83. [02:54] Iskan awkwardly scratches the back of his head, wondering if he didn't actually need to say anything...
  84. (Iskan Furthis)

  87. [03:04] Being versed in both armed combat and time magic, it seems he's in and out of Yuumi's face constantly. Every time he thinks he understands Yuumi's magic, a new type is thrown out. His rather haphazard style of movement does get him hit a good few times, but Iskan keeps the pressure up the whole time. Eventually, Iskan is able to overwhelm Yuumi and give a strong pummel bash to his abdomen. Possibly knocking the wind out of his opponent, he'd step back to give Yuumi the chance to stand and right themselves.

  89. "You alright? I wasn't expecting to see that many types of magic, I'll be honest."
  90. (Iskan Furthis)

  93. [03:08] Almost immediately as their fight begins, he begins to flow outward with everything. Wind magic gave him a freedom like no other, but it was a magic he stopped pursuing, in the pursuit of a more natural flow- water.
  94.  
  95. It helped him channel his cosmic magic easier. Golden, it pours from his form as stardust as he flows about the fight.
  96.  
  97. On occasion, it ignites- burning, and the time magic that he employs makes it last longer. Time magic flows from his form, speeding him up and slowing down Iskan as he man likely did the same to him; on occasion, water manifested into whips are used to strike him in return. Yuumi was well versed in an arsenal of magics.. Though he claimed no mastery to any of them.

  99. His fighting style is.. interesting. Yuumi's reckless, but at the same time, in some strange way, calculating. His movements almost seem to mimic that of Iskan's, copying his style of casting with his staff as he meets his blade with the magistaff crafted by Zachary.
  100.  
  101. .. and it almost feels like he's getting a better feel for the magic, watching someone else cast it. Sofia was something he would never be able to beat, as she was well-versed in anything she wanted to. But he could fare against Iskan.. with more practice.
  102.  
  103. As he's winded, and knocked back, it takes him a few moments to recollect himself. He dusts himself off!..
  104.  
  105. "..Right, yeah. I'm good, Iskan!" He declared, panting for a few moments. With that, he washes over himself with a green flow of mana, attempting to revert- and rejuvenate his circuits with power. With that, he can stand.

  109. [03:10] Iskan Furthis asks, "E-eh? Yeah?"
  110. [03:10] Iskan is surprised by how much attention he's getting today.
  111. (Iskan Furthis)

  114. [03:11] Regina Vati asks, "Do you want to grab a bite to eat, and hang by the church?"
  115. [03:11] Regina Vati says, "I've been feeling a bit lonely, honestly."
  116. [03:11] Yuumi Ivaniss exclaims, "Ah, I'll catch you later Iskan. Thanks!"
  117. [03:11] Iskan Furthis says, "Oh, er... I- I suppose I can do that, sure."
  118. [03:11] Iskan Furthis says, "Sure thing, Yuumi."
  119. [03:14] After his battle with Iskan, Yuumi quickly dusts himself off.. and prepares to leave. Green mana flowed from his body, as he tried to reimagine his fight with Iskan.
  120.  
  121. Recreating his movements, the green mana flows to assist him- showing him how to improve strikes, lessen potential blows.. and in general, sustain himself.
  122.  
  123. If he could reverse the time on his body to be in peak condition throughout an entire fight, it could be the thing that wins him those fights.
  124.  
  125. .. Man, it's hard to learn on your own.
