  1. Before the attack:
  2. 1) Spend all of Thursday briefing, then preparing defenses for the attack.
  3.
  4. A)Every section of the trench should have a heavy mounted machine gun, or plasma weapon of similar role. Ammo for these should be kept in the dugout, and runners should be expected to retrieve more if current ammo is depleted.
  5.
  6. B)In the dugout, a gas hide, ammunition stockpile, and a forward communications post should be established to retain a view of the ground above without retreating directly into the bunker.
  7.
  8. C)The forward trench may not be defensible with our numbers, so it may be a good idea to rig the trenches with explosives to cause maximum damage in close quarter conditions, or deploy soldiers with heavy weaponry.
  9.
  10. D)A safe area is to be established in the bunker cellar, in the event of a severe attack, or deployment of chemical weapons.
  11.
  12. E)As many people as possible who are defending should be provided a form of protection against gas, such as gas masks.
  13.
  14. F) Technical Specialists and Sappers should take volunteers out to start laying magnetic mines and conventional landmines in the area immediately in front of the trench line.
  15.
  16. G) Continuously manned observation posts should be established in both the high-rise apartment building, and the office building directly before the bridge area. Soldiers should report scouting parties, but otherwise not engage unless fired upon.
  17.
  18. 2) Assigning manpower:
  19. A) Any civilians who are armed should be expected to help defend the line when the assault happens.
  20.
  21. B) If it's deemed safe, unarmed but willing civilians and maybe teenagers should be expected to help out wherever possible, whether it be in the medbay, or acting as ammunition runners. If they are otherwise unable or unwilling to help, they should be kept in the safe area.
  22.
  23. C) Troops should consistently be on alert for most of the day in the event of skirmishers and scouting parties, but otherwise should ensure that they are well-rested, fed, and able to last until the battle begins.
  24.
  25. On the day of the attack:
  26. As soon as visual contact is made with Skynet forces, all outposts should pull back to the main defense line. These outposts, particularly at the bridge, will be indefensible, and will only serve to distract some units as they are overwhelmed. Alternatively, we may try and provide the forward outpost with enough supplies and weapons for it to provide another base of fire against their flank.
  27.
  28. Skynet will likely precede their main assault with a heavy artillery strike, and/or a gas strike. During this time, the defense line is expected to remain completely silent, and under cover, as Skynet's infantry moves closer. When they reach within 50 meters, explosives that were carefully placed the day before should be triggered, at least stunning or incapacitating some of the drones if we're lucky. At that point, the entire trench line opens up on the advancing enemy. Snipers and marksman should emphasize heavier drone series, and apparently commander drones, while the emplaced machine guns should continue to pour lead on as many drones as possible.
  29.
  30. There is no retreat for the Resistance, so if they are overrun here, then TC is finished.
