  3. Note: If this is your first time running this category, I *highly* highly recommend running it blindly, without a route (other than the list of bosses in order) — that's the traditional way of running it and it's very fun (and chaotic) :D

  11. •Collect early geo for the Crossroads stag and open it [0]
  12. •Skip False Knight
  13. •Collect Vengeful Spirit
  14. •Grab Soul Catcher (optionally bench and equip it)
  15. •Head through Greenpath like normal [140]
  16. •Fight the Vengefly King [~200]
  17.  
  18. Gruz Mother
  19. •Get the Moss Knights and geo rocks [370]
  20. •Open the Greenpath stag [230] and stag to Crossroads
  21. •Bench and head to Gruz Mother
  22. •Fight Gruz Mother and S&Q out of the arena (as soon as it splits, maybe grab the geo first) to the stag

  24. False Knight
  25. •Head to False Knight
  26. •Fight False Knight (with Vengeful Spirit)
  27. •Grab the geo chest [430] and S&Q to the stag

  29. Massive Moss Charger
  30. •Stag to Greenpath and head down and to the right
  31. •Fireball skip to Massive Moss Charger (if necessary, you can shade skip as a backup, although it is very slow)

  34. Hornet Protector
  35. •Head down through Fog Canyon to Queen's Station
  36. •Open Queen's Station [610] and bench
  37. •Stag to Greenpath and fight Hornet
  38. •Collect Mothwing Cloak and S&Q to Queen's Station
  39.  
  40. Gorb
  41. •Head into Fungal Wastes and up to the Shrumal Ogre arena
  42. •Fight the arena [700] and grab the charm notch
  43. •Head through Fungal Wastes like normal
  44. •Grab Mantis Claw and head out of the room to the right
  45. •Drop down and grab Dashmaster
  46. •Rescue Bretta and S&Q to Queen's Station (equip Dashmaster — Soul Catcher + Dashmaster)
  47. •Head up into Fog Canyon towards Overgrown Mound
  48. •Grab the lifeblood/autopilot seal
  49. •Fight the Squit arena and collect Howling Wraiths
  50. •S&Q to Queen's Station
  51. •Head through Fungal Wastes to the Deepnest entrance
  52. •Grab Spore Shroom
  53. •Drop into Deepnest and head to the hot spring
  54. •Bench in the hot spring and head towards Failed Tramway
  55. •Fight the Zote arena [~800] and rescue Zote
  56. •Grab the Zote idol and head back up to Failed Tramway
  57. •Grab Tram Pass and S&Q to the hot spring
  58. •Take the tram to Basin (bench is optional) and head up the broken elevator shaft to City
  59. •Head up through Spire (you can kill the Great Husk Sentry through the floor with 5 casts of wraiths)
  60. •Head across to the Sanctum entrance
  61. •Fight the Soul Twister arena and immediately exit Sanctum by Cornifer (leave the elevator up)
  62. •Sit at the toll bench [650] and head to Storerooms
  63. •Grab the Simple Key [~710]
  64. •Hit down the platform and stag to Crossroads (don't bench) [510]
  65. •Head to Salubra and buy Steady Body, Shaman Stone, and a charm notch [50]
  66. •Rescue Sly and head to the upper tram
  67. •Take the tram to Resting Grounds and collect Dream Nail
  68. •Stag to Dirtmouth (don't bench) and head to Howling Cliffs (this may be faster from Greenpath?)
  69. •Head through King's Pass to Howling Cliffs
  70. •Learn Cyclone Slash
  71. •Fight Gorb (remember, you have wraiths) and collect the essence {100}
  72.  
  73. Dung Defender
  74. •Head down, grab the journal, and light the Nightmare Lantern
  75. •Grab the Cliffs idol and S&Q to the Sanctum toll bench (swap Soul Catcher for Shaman Stone — Dashmaster + Shaman Stone)
  76. •Head down (around through the Sanctum entrance) and sell to Lemm (lifeblood seal, Zote idol, Nightmare Lantern journal, & Cliffs idol) [2300]
  77. •Enter Waterways and head to Dung Defender
  78. •Fight Dung Defender (wraiths) and S&Q out of the arena (as soon as it splits) to the Sanctum toll bench
  79.  
  80. Soul Warrior
  81. •Head part of the way through Sanctum and fight the Soul Warrior (wraiths?) [2500]
  82. •Wait for the gate to open and then S&Q to the toll bench
  83.  
  84. Brooding Mawlek
  85. •Head back to Storerooms and stag to Dirtmouth (bench)
  86. •Buy Lumafly Lantern [700] and collect Grimmchild
  87. •S&Q to the bench and drop down the well into Crossroads
  88. •Head to and fight Brooding Mawlek (wraiths)
  89. •S&Q out of the arena (as soon as it splits) to Dirtmouth
  90.  
  91. Xero
  92. •Stag to Crossroads and bench
  93. •Stag to Resting Grounds (don't bench) and head down to Xero
  94. •Fight Xero (wraiths) and collect the essence {100}
  95. •S&Q to Crossroads
  96.  
  97. Crystal Guardian
  98. •Enter Crystal Peak through the Lantern entrance [650]
  99. •Head up and fight Crystal Guardian (wraiths) [~1050]
  100.  
  101. Soul Master
  102. •Bench and grab the Shopkeeper's Key (you might just want to kill the Shardmite so that you don't get hit)
  103. •Head through the rest of Peak like normal and grab Crystal Heart
  104. •S&Q to the bench (swap Dashmaster for Grimmchild — Shaman Stone + Grimmchild)
  105. •Head left through the cdash rooms and kill the Grimmkin
  106. •Open the Dirtmouth elevator and cdash across to Sly
  107. •Buy Elegant Key [250]
  108. •Stag to Storerooms and kill the Grimmkin
  109. •Drop down (hit the lever connecting to the City Crest entrance) and head across to Sanctum (toll bench for safety is optional)
  110. •Fight the Soul Warrior [450] and collect Shade Soul
  111. •Head through Sanctum (do hit the levers for later, although they might not be necessary)
  112. •Grab Spell Twister
  113. •Fight Soul Master and collect Desolate Dive
  114.  
  115. Oblobbles
  116. •Exit Sanctum (optimally do the weird fake dive thing) and head across to Spire
  117. •Dive through the glass at the bottom! and head to King's Station
  118. •Stag to Greenpath [150] and bench
  119. •Stag to Crossroads and head through the Lantern entrance to Peak and past the room with the bench to Crystallized Mound
  120. •Collect Descending Dark (this isn't necessary but it is comfy to have for the rest of the run)
  121. •S&Q as soon as it splits (out of the pickup cutscene, for some reason) to Greenpath and call the stag
  122. •Head down and kill the Grimmkin
  123. •S&Q to the stag and stag to King's Station
  124. •Bench and stag to Dirtmouth (this stagging and benching business is a bit of a mess)
  125. •Upgrade Grimmchild and head to King's Pass
  126. •Kill the Grimmkin and S&Q to King's Station
  127. •Head to the broken elevator shaft
  128. •Perform the Isma's skips and grab Isma's Tear (this is technically unoptimal but it's comfy + this route requires it)
  129. •S&Q to King's Station and head through the tunnel to Kingdom's Edge
  130. •Kill the Grimmkin and head up (through the acid) and around to the Tower of Love
  131. •Hit the lever and head up to the Colosseum of Fools (open the breakable wall by the Colosseum)
  132. •Bench in the Colosseum (swap Grimmchild for Spell Twister — Shaman Stone + Spell Twister)
  133. •Open and complete Trial 1 [~1050]
  134. •Fight Zote and collect the charm notch
  135. •Open and complete Trial 2 [~2600]
  136. •Fight the Oblobbles, collect the pale ore, and S&Q to the bench
  137.  
  138. Mantis Lords
  139. •Swap Spell Twister for Grimmchild (Shaman Stone + Grimmchild) and head back out
  140. •Open Trial 3 [1800] and head left to the elevator
  141. •Take the elevator up to Resting Grounds and kill the Grimmkin
  142. •Head up to the stag and stag to Crossroads
  143. •Stag to Crossroads and head to the Fungal Wastes entrance
  144. •Drop down into Fungal Wastes and buy Fragile Heart from Leg Eater [1400]
  145. •Bench and swap Grimmchild for Spell Twister (Shaman Stone + Spell Twister)
  146. •Head down through Fungal Wastes and open the Mantis Lords room (lever was not hit earlier)
  147. •Head to and fight the Mantis Lords
  148. •S&Q out of the arena (as soon as it splits) to Leg Eater
  149.  
  150. Marmu
  151. •Overcharm either Dashmaster or Fragile Heart (for safety (especially during frogs), just... don't die — if you do, repair it and sell the Seer seal later)
  152. •Head through the acid and whispering root room and grab the Fog Canyon charm notch (removes overcharm)
  153. •Head down past Archives and through "QGA" into Queen's Gardens
  154. •Fight the Petra arena and grab the Love Key
  155. •Head back and fight the upper QG arena (no toll bench) [~1600 or so]
  156. •Head through the frog rooms and fight Marmu (you can safety bench at the stag if necessary)
  157.  
  158. Flukemarm
  159. •Collect the essence {350} and open the QG stag [1400] (hit the lever for later)
  160. •Stag to King's Station and head across the fountain to Waterways
  161. •Bench (it's really your choice on when to use Dashmaster/Spell Twister/Fragile Heart, as long as you don't break Heart) and head to Flukemarm
  162. •Fight Flukemarm (using shade soul) and collect Flukenest
  163.  
  164. Broken Vessel
  165. •S&Q to the bench and head to the Dung Defender arena
  166. •Exit into the broken elevator shaft (it may be faster to open the White Defender dive floor now? for no soul collection later)
  167. •Head down to Ancient Basin and bench in the tram
  168. •Head through the Mawlurks (no toll bench) and open the shortcut by the Wings grub
  169. •Fight Broken Vessel and collect Monarch Wings
  170.  
  171. Galien
  172. •S&Q to the tram (swap to Shaman Stone + Flukenest) and take it to Deepnest
  173. •Head to and fight Galien (just two flukes to the face)
  174. •Collect the essence {550} and S&Q to the tram
  175.  
  176. Hive Knight
  177. •Optionally (optimally?) keep Flukenest, or swap back to Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + Dashmaster
  178. •Take the tram to Kingdom's Edge
  179. •Head through the Hive (if you have Flukenest on, use wraiths to break the walls)
  180. •Fight Hive Knight and S&Q out of the arena (as soon as it splits) to the tram (Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + Dashmaster)
  181.  
  182. Elder Hu
  183. •Take the tram to Basin and head to Hidden Station
  184. •Stag to Storerooms [1100] (apparently this is faster than Queen's Station?) and bench
  185. •Head backwards across the City Crest entrance into Fungal Wastes, and up to Elder Hu
  186. •Fight Elder Hu and collect the essence {650}
  187. •S&Q to Storerooms and stag to Resting Grounds
  188.  
  189. The Collector
  190. •Collect Dream Wielder (and the pale ore) from the Seer
  191. •Stag to King's Station and bench
  192. •Head across the fountain to the Nailsmith — if you have less than 1050 geo here, sell the Seer seal to Lemm
  193. •Upgrade to Channelled Nail (Nail 2) [50]
  194. •S&Q to King's Station (swap to Shaman Stone + Flukenest + Dream Wielder)
  195. •Head to the Tower of Love and fight the Collector (with flukes, optimally scream skip with the Vengefly; you can't do the optimal kill but flukes are still pretty fast)
  196.  
  197. God Tamer
  198. •Head up to the Colosseum and end up at the bench (it may be optimal to enter the arena room and then S&Q? that's cursed though)
  199. •Swap to Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + either Fragile Heart for safety (it's meant for this, so you don't need to repair it if you break it anymore), or Dream Wielder for speed if you're super confident
  200. •Open and complete Trial 3
  201. •Fight God Tamer and exit the Colosseum by the elevator shaft [geo doesn't matter anymore]
  202.  
  203. Troupe Master Grimm
  204. •Head down to King's Station and bench (equip Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + Grimmchild, maybe some cursed Flukenest overcharm? idk when flukes are worth when you don't have shriek)
  205. •Stag to Dirtmouth and fight Grimm
  206. •Collect the charm notch and S&Q to King's Station
  207.  
  208. Watcher Knights
  209. •Swap to Shaman Stone + Flukenest + Dream Wielder (+ optimally overcharm Spell Twister)
  210. •Head to and through Spire
  211. •Fight the Watcher Knights (with flukes, optimally skip the chandelier)
  212.  
  213. Uumuu
  214. •Head up (no rewards) and absorb Lurien
  215. •Head back down through Spire back to King's Station
  216. •Stag to Queen's Station
  217. •Bench and unequip Dream Wielder/swap it for Spell Twister (Shaman Stone + Flukenest + Spell Twister)
  218. •Head up to Archives
  219. •Fight Uumuu (just four flukes to the, uh, core? Uumuu doesn't have a face)

  221. Nosk
  222. •Absorb Monomon and head back across Queen's Station to Fungal Wastes (probably faster than stagging to Hidden Station and taking the tram across?
  223. •Drop into Deepnest and head to the hot spring
  224. •Bench in the hot spring (same charms — Shaman Stone + Flukenest + Spell Twister)
  225. •Head to and fight Nosk (with flukes)
  226. •S&Q to the hot spring
  227.  
  228. Hornet Sentinel
  229. •Swap to Shaman Stone + Dashmaster + Dream Wielder + Grimmchild (or something)
  230. •Head to Distant Village and collect the Brumm flame
  231. •Skip Beast's Den and absorb Herrah
  232. •Exit Beast's Den (bench and swap Grimmchild for Spell Twister — Shaman Stone + Dashmaster + Dream Wielder + Spell Twister)
  233. •Stag to King's Station (fun fact: you now have all of the stags)
  234. •Head through Kingdom's Edge to Hornet 2
  235. •Fight Hornet 2 and collect the King's Brand
  236.  
  237. Enraged Guardian
  238. •Head back (through the acid) to King's Station
  239. •Stag to Hidden Station and bench (possibly equip Flukenest? probably loses time though)
  240. •Stag to Dirtmouth and take the elevator up to Peak (no elevator skip)
  241. •Head to and fight Enraged Guardian
  242. •S&Q out of the arena (as soon as it splits) to Hidden Station

  244. Lost Kin
  245. •Swap to Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + Dashmaster + Dream Wielder and head to Lost Kin (you can cdash from the right wall to hit the bell on the way out!)
  246. •Fight Lost Kin and collect the essence {1050}
  247. •S&Q to Hidden Station
  248.  
  249. No Eyes
  250. •Stag to Resting Grounds and collect Dreamgate from the Seer
  251. •Set a DG by the Seer and S&Q to Hidden Station
  252. •Head to the Abyss
  253. •Collect Abyss Shriek
  254. •Head across Sibling climb and collect Shade Cloak
  255. •S&Q and DG to Resting Grounds
  256. •Stag to Queen's Gardens and bench
  257. •Stag to Greenpath (most likely faster than Queen's Station?) and head to Stone Sanctuary
  258. •Fight No Eyes (nail 2 makes this a bit harder) and collect the essence {1250}
  259. •S&Q to Queen's Gardens

  261. Traitor Lord
  262. •Swap to Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + Flukenest and call the stag
  263. •Head up to Traitor Lord (with flukes?)
  264. •Fight Traitor Lord and collect the White Fragment

  267. White Defender
  268. •Stag to King's Station and bench

  272. Soul Tyrant
  273. •Swap to Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + Dashmaster + Dream Wielder
  274. •Stag to Storerooms (don't bench) and head to Sanctum
  275. •Head through Sanctum (the levers were hit earlier, but there's also a funny skip through the ceiling of the Soul Warrior arena)
  276. •Fight Soul Tyrant and collect the essence {1850}
  277. •S&Q to King's Station

  280. •Head through the tunnel to Kingdom's Edge
  281. •Head to Markoth through the lower route
  282. •Fight Markoth (nail 2 makes this a bit harder) and DG to the Seer (skip the essence)

  284. Grey Prince Zote
  285. •Collect Awoken Dream Nail from the Seer
  286. •Stag to Hidden Station (probably keep the same charms?) and set a DG
  287. •Enter and complete White Palace
  288. •Collect Kingsoul and head to the tram
  289. •Bench in the tram (optimally to swap to Shaman Stone + Flukenest + Grimmchild)
  290. •Fight the Grimmkin at the broken bridge (with flukes, apparently it's a lot easier)
  291. •S&Q to the tram and take it to Kingdom's Edge
  292. •Head through the Hive and fight the Grimmkin
  293. •S&Q to the tram and swap to something involving Kingsoul (Dream Wielder + Dashmaster, maybe? idk what's worth the charm swapping)
  294. •Take the tram back to Basin and head down to the Abyss
  295. •Complete the Birthplace cutscene and collect Void Heart
  296. •DG to Hidden Station and stag to Dirtmouth
  297. •Bench (swap to Shaman Stone + Spell Twister + Flukenest)
  298. •Fight Grey Prince Zote (with flukes) and S&Q out of the arena (as soon as it splits)

  300. Failed Champion
  301. •Swap Flukenest for Dream Wielder (+ Dashmaster) for safety, otherwise it doesn't really matter whether or not you leave it on
  302. •Stag to Crossroads (don't bench) and head to Failed Champion
  303. •Fight Failed Champion and S&Q to Dirtmouth (as soon as it splits)

  305. Nightmare King Grimm
