Edhain logs on, talk ensues about a meeting Mabry posted for everyone to attend to so all voices can be heard regarding my recent (failed) contestation. Logs kind of sway between GTELLS FULL and pastes, so bear with.

11. Mabry: "Sir, I think it is as Sir Alterus says, this is not yet the time. Let the meeting clear the air for all to see."
12. Alterus: "At this meeting, of course. Worry not Sir Edhain, we will speak as you desire. Openly and plainly."
13. Edhain: "You mistake me. The issue is with you, individually."
14. Alterus: "Then it can wait until after the affairs of the guild, whicha re for more important than my own, have been resolved."
15. Edhain: "You are summoned now."
16. Edhain: "Or is it to be blatant, public insubordination this time?"
17. Mabry: "Sir. As an Exemplar, I think it unfair to call into a private discussion the man who Contested you not a month prior."
18. Edhain: "It is in your favor to communicate with me. I am not your enemy."
19. Mabry: "I have made a meeting for you both to talk. Let the meeting stand, Sir."
20. Edhain: "Lady Mabry, you may not speak freely."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "You made a meeting without my knowledge."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "You ignored my attempts to communicate with you prior, departed, and returned when I was gone."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "We now disallow secretaries to do their jobs? Is not the Preceptor, as I currently hold the post, also who handles personal disagreements before they become disciplinary?"

(Paladins): Mabry says, "You wished to speak with people, and wanted no secrets. I was going on your own words and setting a time for such talks that was amiable to all involved."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "All I ask is that he speaks with me. It is an order, and there is no reason for refusal."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "Sir Alterus wishes to wait two months for the whole of everyone's issues to be stated. Openly. As you aSKED."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "I did not ask you to flounce forth and declare a meeting without my knowledge or approval."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "You behave as though I am a stone in your path, and you must work around it."

(Paladins): Mabry says, "Sir, that question makes no sense. And this entire debate you're insistent on is really not helpful to either of you."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "There is unrest in my knighthood, and it is yours. I would have it out."
(Paladins): You say, "You should know me well enough to be sure that I do not waste time with such things. Politics are beneath me."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Yet your platform was a meaningless oratory dedicated to a man's emotion, and not his reason."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Your choice besides working with me is to continue as you are, and be separated until such a time as respect between you and the institution of the knighthood is regained."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "A man's heart must be governed by his mind."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "They are disrupted because it was you who insisted on airing the depth of our conversation."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "No one controls your voice or actions but you, Sir."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Do you think me incapable of following through, Sir Alterus?"
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Make your choice."
(Paladins): You say, "My choice has been clear. Act or do not, your choice is the one which remains."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Then, you choose to continue working against me, instead of together as a loyal brotherhood?"
(Paladins): Mabry says, "One conversation had on terms no one but you wanted or agreed with is not 'working against you'. Nor is the guildmaster the end all of Knights, last I checked."
(Paladins): You say, "Your madness runs deep. I have never worked against you, and even when I contested you it was for the guild: not for the sake of opposing you."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "If we cannot disagree at times, why bother being mortal? We should supply you with an army of sycophants?"
(Paladins): Edhain says, "If it is for the guild, you will respect the institution of the guild."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "As should you, Sir."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Nay. I want you to speak of your concerns to me. I want to hear when you are upset."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "Let us have a polite meeting, as we asked."
(Paladins): You say, "And you will, in two month's time."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "You did not ask."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "Yet you yell at him. You call him disloyal, you say he is corrupt."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "None of this follows logic."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "You call me mad for desiring the communication that you claim so lacking, but it is you who does not understand that its lack stems from yourself."
(Paladins): Mabry says, "If you wished us to speak with you about things, and we felt it was unheard, is not an open meeting for all the most logical compromise?"
(Paladins): You say, "It is you that sees enemies in every shadow and upon every street, Grand Champion."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "I see an enemy in a man who refuses to speak with me. In a knight who disobeys direct orders. In the internal division of a guild meant to do good."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "I fear my mercy is too much."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "And in that, I am the destroyer."
(Paladins): You say, "I have no need of your mercy."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "So be it."

11. Mabry: "He has reasons, well documented and entirely logical, for waiting to speak with you. He has multiple people who've agreed that a meeting is a good idea, best for voicing everyone's positions with respect."
12. Edhain: "Then you must tell me those reasons."
13. Mabry: "You threw him out?!"
14. Mabry: "Am I next for agreeing that this is entirely uncalled for?"
15. Adari: "He was clearly willing to speak, when the time came. Why not simply let him do so on those terms? Why push a man, why anger him? Why continue to push? This was the obvious conclusion."
16. Edhain: "Aye, after Lady Adari."
17. Edhain: "I am his leader, Lady Adari, and this is a guild of knights. Do you not agree that after open challenge, he ought not have continued to display insubordination?"
18. Edhain: "I have no desire to harm him or his standing. I want to see his success."
19. Adari: "So.. You evicted him."
20. Edhain: "I wanted to make him Arch-Justiciar, and have him succeed me."

(Paladins): Adari says, "I am not quite sure how that coincides with your wish to see him succeed."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "There is an order in this knighthood, Lady Adari, and I cannot see it split. That will cause disunity and harm our purpose."

18. Adari: "There is an order, yes."
19. Edhain: "He is outcast until he speaks with me on even terms."
20. Mabry: "Then any disagreements that involve you must be solved on your terms?"

18. Edhain: "When a knight disagrees with me, I will hear it."
19. Edhain: "To my face, as a loyal brother speaks to another."
20. Adari: "And, if that knight is not in the right state of mind to speak?"

(Paladins): Adari says, "You'll just boot them?"

13. Edhain: "Nay. If he excuses himself due to such, I will respect it."
14. Adari: "Uhm.."
15. Mabry: "Sir, you refused to hear him, as you have me as well. You refused to let us come to you as you claimed would happen in your post."
16. Edhain: "Sir Alterus did not excuse himself."
17. Edhain: "He attempted to excuse me."
18. Edhain: "And it was he who refused to come to me."
19. Mabry: "You have acted beyond inappropriate, and now I formally have issue with the way you've handled the situation."
20. Mabry: "Shall I await my outguilding?"

(Paladins): Edhain says, "Nay, of course not..."
(Paladins): Adari says, "He refused to come to you at this point. Not entirely."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Speak with me."
(Paladins): Edhain says, "With reason."

14. Edhain: "I did not refuse to hear him."
15. Mabry: "Yes, you did."
16. Edhain: "I begged to hear him."
17. Edhain: "When did I?"
18. Mabry: "He requested the terms."
19. Adari: "You just refused to hear him when he wished to speak."
20. Mabry: "Do not play word games, it's beneath this guild."

13. Edhain: "Nay."
14. Adari: "Now or get the heck out is not acceptable."
15. Edhain: "I will still hear him then."
16. Mabry: "Exactly."
17. Edhain: "Initially I said he could speak with me then, as well."
18. Mabry: "Multiple people agreed to the meetings concept, multiple people see flaw in your behavior currently. Do you not see that this should be corrected?"
19. Adari: "Then... Why continue to push?"
20. Mabry: "What Will it take?"

19. Edhain: "It will take you speaking with me with reason, Lady Mabry. If you are one of those people, come out with it. What are the flaws in my behavior?"
20. Mabry: "And do not further make yourself a hypocrite by claiming we might speak with you. We've seen what happens to those who will not bow to your will."

 16. Edhain: "You are failing to see the truth in this matter."
17. Mabry: "As are many of us, Sir."
18. Edhain: "Speak to me, and we can logically divine the correct path."
19. Edhain: "Together, a conversation between knights loyal to each other, who only desire to see the guild excel in all its pursuits."
20. Mabry: "I'm with Lady Adari on this, why bother if you will demand me to speak privately when I do not feel comfortable with it, and then throw me out when I request the alternative meeting?"

11. Edhain: "Why bother? The response to a unified knighthood is: 'why bother?'"
12. Mabry: "This is not unified. This is you."
13. Edhain: "Thus, there stood the challenge."
14. Adari: "What?"
15. Edhain: "This is the knighthood, Lady Mabry. We work together. You do not attempt to work without me."
16. Adari: "Is this about the meeting, now?"
17. Edhain: "To subvert my aims, to conceal your unrest, to languish in petty politics."
18. Mabry: "You trying to make sure anyone who has issue with your actions into disloyalists. You calling us insubordinate and threatening us when we do not immediately agree with you. I'm all for building loyalty, but you do the opposite by your actions today, Sir."
19. Ahadia: "The perception is not with the concept of unified knighthood. It is a fear that has been instilled of an inevitable end to a path, should it not be walked on your terms, Sir Edhain."
20. Mabry: "How can people conceal when they ask for meetings?"

15. Edhain: "There is no inevitable end."
16. Edhain: "Do you fear that every concern will be shot away? That simply because I discuss, I discard?"
17. Mabry: "The paladins are not YOUR knights, Sir. The guild has not made you King. We are allowed to talk and to debate and to come to you on our terms."
18. Mabry: "You have acted today as a tantrumming tyrant, please tell me this is not what you intended and that it is a mere hiccup you plan to correct?"
19. Adari: "I'm getting the impression that I must ask permission from the Grand Champion in order to wipe my own ass."
20. Adari: "Those are my feelings on the situation."

13. Edhain: "You are allowed to do so as you please, Lady Mabry. However, you must realize that when I give a direct order and there is no reason for disobedience, it should be obeyed."
14. Edhain: "Is there a problem with this?"
15. Adari: "Sounds like a kingship, still."
16. Edhain: "Speak clearly your reasons for disobedience if you have them."
17. Mabry: "And when your own people feel something you do is causing disrest, come up with a logical and calm meeting to correct the situation, and then are commanded, battered, called names, and later thrown out... what exactly do I think then? I'd imagine I must as you that now, as I'm not allowed thoughts lest you approve them."
18. Edhain: "It is not a kingship. Anyone may challenge me at any time."
19. Edhain: "However, when they lose such a challenge, it is noble and knightly to fall into the line of duty again."
20. Mabry: "Why bother? You throw us out."

8 . Edhain: "He may return anytime."
9 . Adari: "He's not going to."
10. Adari: "I don't blame him."
11. Adari: "He's treated not like a knight, but a slave."
12. Edhain: "Then, leave as well."
13. Adari: "Jump when I say. Bark when I command. That is what you're doing. That's why he refused."
14. Edhain: "The knighthood is a loyal brotherhood. We cannot foster internal scorn of each other."
15. Adari: "Not to subvert you."
16. Mabry: "If he bows and scrapes to you. You, a man who refused to let him wait two mere months to talk in front of everyone, he must beg to?"
17. Edhain: "Nay."
18. Adari: "Not to keep stepping out of line."
19. Adari: "Yes."
20. Edhain: "He need not bow and scrape."

2 . Edhain: "He can fight me, with his words and his reason or even his blades."
3 . Adari: "You. Only see what you will. You're just as your steed, sir Edhain. Wearing your blinders."
4 . Adari: "This isn't about combat, or argument."
5 . Edhain: "My destrier wears no blinders. I trust his mind."
6 . Edhain: "This is about loyalty and knighthood."
7 . Mabry: "You trust no one but sycophants."
8 . Adari: "You threw the man out because he did not bow."
9 . Mabry: "Exactly."
10. Edhain: "I threw him out because he refused to follow a direct order."
11. Mabry: "That was ridiculous, and beneath what this guild stands for."
12. Edhain: "The order was not 'bow' or 'scrape.' It was 'argue with me.' 'Speak your mind.'"
13. Adari: "And he felt that arguing with you would not resolve anything. Thus not doing it."
14. Adari: "But, that's not acceptable. You wanted him to fly off the handle."
15. Adari: "To be a lesser man."
16. Edhain: "And thus the matter was resolved in a far worse way had it been if he argued."
17. Edhain: "Where is the logic in making that choice?"
18. Adari: "You seem to be without logic, sir."
19. Edhain: "And nay, Lady Adari. I wished nothing but to resolve the matter as loyal brothers in arms."
20. Mabry: "You who claim so much honor in post-contention cannot see that you dishonor yourself by commanding a man who would've won but for a few votes? He stayed, he tried to have meetings, he was doing the honorable thing. You threw him out when he did not disobey, but asked to wait."

(Paladins): Adari says, "Then why push the gods damned issue? Why not accept that he wanted to speak with you in two months?"
(Paladins): Adari says, "Because your ego couldn't take that he would not kneel."

11. Edhain: "The reason behind his contention was that he feels I am unfit to be his leader."
12. Edhain: "It is the core of this matter."
13. Mabry: "I fully agreed. So did apparently a few other knights."
14. Mabry: "Will we be thrown out now?"
15. Mabry: "I should like to unpack my office."
16. Edhain: "Nay. You will be, and have been, asked to speak with me."
17. Mabry: "And Sir... I refuse."
18. Edhain: "Do you understand what a foolish choice that is?"
19. Mabry: "I openly refuse to speak with you privately until this meeting."
20. Adari: "Speak at the meeting. Why take it behind closed doors?"

15. Adari: "Why does it have to be in private, if we're a brotherhood?"
16. Edhain: "It was not behind closed doors upon this channel."
17. Edhain: "And, I have no qualm with that, Lady Mabry."
18. Adari: "...What?"
19. Adari: "Why is it alright for her, but not Alterus?"
20. Mabry: "Why exactly is this different? Exactly."

15. Ahadia: "Sir Edhain... That is exactly what Sir Alterus had been saying.."
16. Adari: "There is hypocrisy."
17. Edhain: "When a man loses a duel, he shakes the hand of his opponent... or he skulks, plotting vengeance."
18. Mabry: "This was a mistake. One that Sir Edhain could rectify."
19. Edhain: "Elections are the same way."
20. Adari: "Ah."

(Paladins): Adari says, "So, because Mabry is not a -man-, this is acceptable."

13. Edhain: "Nay. The contention was not hers."
14. Edhain: "Or was it?"
15. Ahadia: "That is a gross misinterpretation of that, Lady Adari..."
16. Mabry: "I've been open about my issues with contentions to you, Sir Edhain, and you've been quite open with your issues with me being Sir Alterus' future wife and apparent ally."
17. Adari: "Very well. Then. You simply refused to take Alterus' decline because you were worried that he'd be... Plotting."
18. Mabry: "I happen to think Lady Adari has a point."
19. Adari: "Where. -NO ONE- has ever seen the man plot."
20. Adari: "So... This comes back around to you being just a tad bit paranoid, sir."

15. Edhain: "I refused to take Sir Alterus' declination of my direct order because it was the issue of his insubordination that caused his contention originally."
16. Adari: "Wait. How was he insubordinate?"
17. Adari: "How -exactly- was he insubordinate."
18. Edhain: "I did not air what occurred past during the election because it would be dirty politics."
19. Mabry: "He asked to defer talks til he felt comfortable. A grievous offense now."
20. Adari: "Obviously."

(Paladins): Edhain says, "He asked to defer talks while simultaneously insulting my mental capacity."

14. Edhain: "He gave no impression of wishing to feel comfortable."
15. Edhain: "Regardless, we are speaking of what occurred before the contention, unless neither of you care to hear it?"
16. Edhain: "I am quite happier without soiling his name behind his back."
17. Edhain: "We can speak of it at the meeting, if he desires to be present."
18. Edhain: "Unless you both wish to speak now?"
19. Mabry: "It's not behind his back because he left, it's because you threw him out. And now, he cannot go to this meeting that you so suddenly love the idea of. Because you threw him out."
20. Edhain: "He can go to it if he wants. I would urge him to do so."

(Paladins): Adari says, "Then why the shit throw him out?"
(Paladins): Adari says, "Where. Is. The. Logic."

17. Edhain: "A man is either my knightly brother, or he considers me an enemy."
18. Adari: "And for our opinions, we're damned and removed?"
19. Mabry: "Agreed. There is something seriously wrong with someone requesting to meet later being an enemy's offense."
20. Adari: "The hell does that make any sense?"

(Paladins): Ahadia says, "Excuse that... That was not intended for here."
(Paladins): Adari says, "Why would our free will be put below the knighthood?"
(Paladins): Edhain says, "Nay, you may have all the opinions you desire. You may voice them as you please."
(Paladins): Adari says, "We are not mindless servants."
(Paladins): Adari says, "That is what the knighthood USED to be."
(Paladins): Adari says, "That is what it seems that you're trying to take it back to."
