  3. All knights within the free systems live by an ages-old code of conduct. The precise origin of the Chivalric Code is not known, but it is believed to have been created by knights of antiquity to ensure a swift and fair resolution to military conflicts between houses. The code promotes honorable conduct among knights not just in times of war, but also in times of peace. The code comprises of 12 core principles.

  6. He honors God, and respects convictions of spirit

  8. He serves his house and lord with trust, and defends his comrades
  9. Justice
  10. He defends the innocent and defenseless, and punishes evil
  11. Charity
  12. He ensures quarter for widows, orphans and the wounded
  13. Prudence
  14. He does not seek to cause unnecessary offense or conflict
  15. Wisdom
  16. He is careful in his judgments, and reveres the counsel of his elders
  17. Temperance
  18. He abstains from intoxication and belligerence
  19. Resolve
  20. He remains steadfast to his commitments in spite of adversity
  21. Honesty
  22. He searches for the truth, and does not deceive his peers
  23. Benevolence
  24. He endeavors for the well being of his people, not personal enrichment
  25. Bravery
  26. He does not turn his back in battle, and accepts a challenge by his equal
  27. Valor
  28. He treats the defeated with dignity, and brings glory to his banner
