The Nameless

One night you have a strange dream, you're standing on the top of a high peak and can see...well...most of the world around you.  It's really that high up, like almost in space tier.  Which doesn't entirely make sense but hey it's a dream.  Standing beside you is a gigantic Dragonite.

"Beautiful, is it not?  The world in all its majesty.  It is sad that so many shackle themselves to just a fraction of it for all of their time on this mortal plane.  Though there are those who refuse this notion of 'Home' being just a singular place, and instead make the road their home.  You are one of these individuals, are you not?"

She holds out one of her talons to you, offering you a necklace with a gemstone of purple hue.  "I can tell that to join my flock would be of little consequence to you, but none the less, I extend my blessings.  I can't grant you what you already have, but I can promise the power to instill the sense of wanderlust in others, and to free them from their mental shackles.  That is something you would wish for your Brother, or some of your more troubled friends, isn't it?"

"What I ask in return is to fight for those who are shackled, and those who threaten to constrain them.  Our enemies make too liberal use of manipulation and control, and I will not stand for it.  Go forth, explore, and help those who cannot help themselves.  That is all I ask, Whitacre."

As the sun begins to set in this scene...you wake up, with the necklace clutched in your palms.
