- “I learned... with the path I take, I will be immune to the mortal frailties that drag humanity down.”
- Name: Araphel Helstrom Asindora
- Relatives: Sephilia Maelstrom Asindora; Sister, Nalsghur; Personal body guard. Sebastian Asindora; Brother-in-Law.
- Spouse(s)/lover(s): Indranna Hellkite; Now deceased. Alette Von Helsonne.
- Appearance: Araphel’s crimson red hair is long, and reaches down the center of his back, he commonly ties this hair up into a ponytail, while, from each side of his head, horns sprout and point viciously ahead of his forehead. His muscle is very noticeable and toned, particularly from his daily bouts of defending his home from the fiends that plague his layer. His skin is a snowy, purple tinted color that shows off the influence of corruption. Each of his canines are pointed to the point they can practically tear through skin like a knife through butter.
- Naming: Araphel’s name means “Heavy Cloud” in Hebrew. This may reference his origin whilst amongst mortal life, Helstrom isn’t truly a name; but a title given in his layer to symbolize great power. He adorns this title as his middle name to show his might, Asindora is a name that came to him since birthing in the Abyss. His sister, Sephilia, had shared this nickname with him; thus the two worked to bring the family to power in their layer.
- Home: He resides in Layer 195 of The Abyss. This layer is considered one of the largest layers found within the nefarious plane, and consists of ranging terrains, one could walk from a never ending scorched desert, to a frozen, arctic wasteland. The most unique part of this layer is the subterranean area, where Araphel makes his living quarters; the caves are simply called “The Crystal Caves”, as the caves appear as myriads of shimmering crystals that coat the walls, ceiling, and even the floor. Only Kurnugia, the plane owned by Lamashtu, can compare to the size of this layer.
- Personality: Araphel is what many would call a hedonist. He strives to achieve maximal pleasure in any means necessary -- even including means that others frown upon. He strives to achieve his wants and needs, and frowns upon angelic or lawful entities, as they seem to be bound by laws and restricted to the maximized options he believes he has.
- Araphel looks at humans as “tools.” to achieve pleasure and happiness. They are merely his form of entertainment. Humans that seem to have a far grasp and belief on fighting for themselves earn more respect from Araphel -- and other demons, especially females, as it seems. He merely wishes for others to be exactly like him: Striving to achieve pleasure through any means necessary. He frowns upon killing, but is not against doing so -- those that sacrifice themselves are laughed at, and even watched by Araphel as they slowly tear themselves apart.
- Not above slavery, Araphel enslaves human mortals and lesser demons more often than just about any other demon lord. He spares all prisoners of war, and puts them through torture and hell. The ironic part is that, Araphel, being the demon lord of debauchery and freedom, will actually allow his slaves to do as they please. He even eases them to go against him, so he can have more "thrills."
- Araphel absolutely hates lawful good entities -- especially the angelic being known as Murielle. He even created his unholy symbol as a sick, twisted mockery of the angel of mercy. A dark black cross with raven black wings surmounting it. His worshipers often tear pages from holy texts and fold it into this symbol, in which Araphel takes great pleasure in watching.
