  11. CHICAGO , July 26, 2014: With the death toll now topping 1,000 in Gaza and a growing number of dead in the West Bank, the Chicago Coalition for Justice in Palestine will hold a press conference today on the ongoing Israeli violence and US Secretary of State John Kerry’s truce proposal, which Israel rejected.
  12.
  13. As of Saturday morning, July 26, Israeli forces had killed over 1,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including over 200 children, according to human rights workers, with the numbers rising moment by moment as rescue workers retrieving bodies from neighborhoods flattened by Israel. The UN High Commission on Human Rights Navi Pillay has warned that Israel may be guilty of war crimes for targeting civilians and the UN Human Rights Commission will conduct an investigation into that possibility. So far, Israeli forces have killed nine Palestinians in the West Bank who were participating in massive protests against Israel’s aggression in Gaza. Once again, Israel prohibited young men from praying Friday prayers in Al Aqsa mosque in East Jerusalem.
