I would like to tell you my experience as a " new user " because I think I can be the voice of the newcomers on Steem.

With Haejin case, I got sick. You may not believe me but this get me really sicks (physically).
I have been downvoted severals times already (because of whales war and I was in the middle : 2 times in 6 months, I am a real Steem Drama queen) and if I had not the faith as I am people will leave the platform and we don't want that. We want more people here. You can't imagine how hard it is for me to keep the good works when I see that most of my " shitty " content get more rewarded... it's strange but it's what I observe. So... First I jumped in Steem because I tought quality will be rewarded and I made my own experience that this is not the case. And worst.... I saw account like trafalgar (not is genious account with his satire text), his shorter account --> steemit/@traf stealing the rewarded pool with late selfvote. When I talk to people about that, they told me he deserve to have this amount of money because he is a genius. Is that true ? (one Gif per post / 5-7 times a day -> 150$ in selfvote per post make the calculation...).

Then, I got by " chance " on another account /@damarth who upvote his own comment (shitty comment) around 48$ per comment... All day long.
I know you know theses cases. And maybe worst than that.
I am sure you also know the circles jerk (Adsactly for example).

I generally avoid to look to the others blogs to avoid jealousy and depression because of self comparaison.

Since few days, since I got on traf account, I decided to upload me video from Youtube to Dtube. And I have copy-paste some blog post I have on my own blog... I would NEVER do that in the past, because I was convince that on Steem the best was to do Steem content only. But you know.. when you do your best because you are naive and during this time people get rich. And you just continu to publish great content and motivate people to stay. I saw a dogs video making hundreds $.

For few days now, I don't want to motivate people. I don't want to bring them on the platform... I was at Christmas with my friends and their friends... And theses people I was trying to get them on Steem few months ago, when someone told me " Steem sounds like a scam " I answered... " Maybe it is... i don't know... " In the past, I would fight against the idea. I even wrote an entire blog post about that.

So... I don't know if this situation of scammy people / too high reward touch you as it touch me, but I needed to express myself and have your point of view.

Because I got made with this injustice, I even upvoted one of my shitty comment at 2.50 $.... I 've stopped to vote for my community, I 've started to publish pictures... one of my pictures made 38$..... more than my post ... I would never publish just a picture. Never. I even don't want to do the curation I was doing it (takes too much time.... for what ???).

I know that steem is " You get what you pay for ". But this is not what I was looking for... I was looking for a place who will change the world. Not who will reproduce it.

You know, I was so mad theses last day that I 've downted from 44 to 10 a guys that I found who had plagiarized my own steem articles (and also copy and past from wikipedia and translated with google translation) ! So, for 5 months I have one think in my head -> quality content. Now, I have -> make money because if you are too stupid others will do it instead of you. This is not how it should be.... I am even thinking of paying bots and being part of a circles jerks too....

Hello Roxane. I wish I had better answers for you. I wish Steemit was a utopia, but it's not. I wish people didn't give in to short-term thinking and greed. I wish people would ignore everyone else and do their own thing which they know is right.

Seems many with high steem power only want to get as much out of their investment as possible, but I think ultimately this will keep the price of STEEM down as people get frustrated with the content here and leave.
