FoE PnP Group 3 Session 13

PREVIOSULY ON MARES AND THE STABLE

As our brave heroes attempted to hack into the secure portion of the terminal with literal hacking and splicing of wires, Rose_Bud swam around adorably and chatted with the sea pony Sushi.  Successful hacking proved to be a waste of time since none of the options really did anything good for them what with the robots being dead, the doors jammed, and the turrets already in non-lethal mode.

Rose_Bud returned just in time to see Cali bring the roof down, or at least the crumbly drop ceiling.  This in turn revealed the pretty, blue glowy lights that nearly everypony guessed were the anti-magic field emitters.  DL was going to see if she could unplug them or something since, you know, she can fly and whatnot, but Miss Tiger just wanted to get the pretty blue lights!

Ever see a cat stare intently at something for several seconds and then leap at it?  And you know how if the cat misses, they get this annoyed look as they size up their target before leaping for it again?  Yeah, well, with a swishing of her tail and a mrowl of annoyance, Miss Tiger did that and smashed the emitters on her second leap.  Miss Tiger also discovered that Solaris wiring sucks.

How bad does your wiring have to be to arc not merely through the hoof touching the live wires but the rest of the pony's body and several feet of empty air in order to ground out?  Also no GFIs in Solaris wiring.  And there were an awful lot of systems sharing the same circuit, but hey, at least she shut down the nearby teleport turret!

Crashing back to the floor with a yowl, Miss Tiger was badly dazed and had to be led away by her pet Cat.  As a further result of tiggy's actions, the group learned that Solaris probably subcontracted the emergency lighting and sprinkler system since those both worked just fine.  The group headed away from the smoke to the command bridge and along the way, Light_Seeker finally told Patchouli what she'd found out about the fishlicious sea food.

There were a couple logs in a terminal by the door into the command bridge, and the password protected log had info to backup Light_Seeker's claim while  Rose_Bud once again proved her worth to the group by finding the manual door opening lever for Cali.  After a few moments of slightly amusing confusion from misheard comments, Miss Tiger recovered, glomped Cat, found out what was going on, and was able to help Cali get the door open.

There was a little debate about whether to actually open the door, but it was decided that opening it should be safe.  The group also decided blowing the place up would be bad since it's kinda right over top of the sea pony town and would probably do bad things to it and it's inhabitants.  Since getting the door open took time, some passed the time by scavenging.

Still more scavenging was to be had once they got inside, and Cali pouted a bit when it was decided to give the shiny new missile launcher to Cat.  And bonus: the missile launcher was enchanted to be quiet!  Silent but deadly...except of course for the horrible explosion at the end.  DL's gun still doesn't like her, or perhap it does and has a funny way of showing it.

More fun with terminals was had by first Rose_Bud trying to science a terminal until DL grabbed her away.  Patchy then tried her hoof at it and connected the base up to Ponymedes 0 which Cali said was a comm relay.  Whatever it was, it started a 74 hour wake up cycle on someone in stasis.  The idea that Ponymedes 0 might be in the sky and that ponies had put other stuff up there was apparently profoundly disturbing to DL.

A more important deadline soon loomed however as the terminal Rose_Bud scienced informed them that the food processing plant had been reinitialized.  If they were right about what this place did, the group now had four hours to do something before the place turned their sea pony friends into fish sticks.




18:54:56: Cataclysm glanced around the room in some slight panic, "Okay. Okay. Processing would be down in engineering somewhere, right? So we should head that way first. See if we can shut off the machines before they open the door down there and everypony is turned into those... Things." she shuddered at the thought of ponies being turned into food. Ugh.

18:57:17: Patchet goes into full on panic mode. "We have to warn the sea ponies! We can't let them die!"
18:58:00: Calibrete stares at the terminal. "There's always a chance that the old hunk of junk won't even work."
18:58:38: rose_bud looks around helplessly, tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to turn on the loud machine!"
18:58:50: <GMimezinga> 13 "self repairing systems powered up, maintenance is online, activating scavenging subroutines to full efficiency"
18:58:51: <Patchet> "I don't want seapony fish sticks! I want them to continue to make their Shooby~dooby~ music!"
18:58:54: Light_Seeker hugs Rose_Bud "It's okay"

18:59:35: Calibrete 's jaw drops. "Well, fuck."
19:00:25: Cataclysm reaches out a hoof to pat Rose_Bud, "It's not your fault. Right now we need to find it and stop it!" Moving towards the doorway back out, "Maintenance is this way, right? The repair systems have to be down there, or maybe we'll be able to find something else down there to shut this place down permanently. We definitely can't afford to stay here!"
19:00:41: Patchet looks at Calibrete with the biggest saddest puppy dog eyes she can manage. "Tell me there is something we can do!"

19:01:23: Calibrete puts a hoof to her chin. "Well... there's always the- WAIT, WHAT?"
19:01:43: JackHammer announcement comes on. "Or not..."
19:01:43: JackHammer raises a hoof. "Calm down, everypony. It's four hours - that's not ideal, but it's a good amount of time to work with. Patch, go tell the sea ponies to evacuate their town, just in case something bad happens. Don't try to tell them what since we don't know what. Just tell everyone to go on a picnic and stay away from their homes. Rejoin us when you can..." Then the second
19:02:09: Patchet starts looking for away to unplug the terminal.
19:02:35: Light_Seeker runs as fast as she can trying to back it outside and warn the sea ponies
19:02:37: <Patchet> "Right warn seaponies!"
19:02:44: Calibrete starts to run towards the exit. "Shitshitshitshitshit!"
19:02:51: rose_bud finds comfort in the other foal. "We... we have to stop all this and save everypony!"
19:03:35: JackHammer waves a hoof. "C'mon! To maintence!" Then she makes a rush for the door, just in case it decides to close.
19:04:00: rose_bud chases after the others.
19:04:20: Patchet pulls herself away from the terminal and starts running towards the exit.
19:04:46: Cataclysm frowns, "And that means those anti-magic things are probably gonna come back on too, right? Horseapples. This is bad! We've got to keep moving before we're trapped AND can't stop all this!" rushing towards the doorway as quick as she can towards maintenance.
19:04:56: Desert_Lightning picks himself off the floor. His thoughts turning away from the sky thankfully. He turns and heads towards maintenance.
19:05:49: <GMimezinga> 13 "...hours"
19:06:28: Calibrete stops in his tracks. "You've got to be kidding me..."
19:07:22: Calibrete calls the group towards him. "Guys, I think I've got an idea. Come here."
19:08:24: Patchet makes it outside and starts to call upon the seaponies "Seaponies, Seaponies!"
19:08:33: Cataclysm blinks and slows down as Calibrete stops, "What?" moving towards her, "We need to get to the maintenance and stop them from reactivating."
19:09:31: Calibrete puts a hoof to his face. "We've got 10 hours to do that. If we don't make a plan, we'll be running around worse than Buddy with a sugar rush."
19:10:14: Light_Seeker runs up to Patchet "What do we tell them?"
19:10:34: Desert_Lightning gets to the maintenance door and tries to open it.
19:11:01: rose_bud comes to a halt beside Calibrete. Being Smarty Bud hadn't worked at all, it was time to listen to a Clever Pony.
19:11:02: Cataclysm reaches up a hoof to drag Calibrete's face around, "We have FOUR hours to do that. We are NOT letting those machines activate and kill the sea ponies. Understand?"
19:11:21: JackHammer blinks as the announcement completes, and she slows her run down to a trot. "Of course...because giving ponies a heart attack over nothing is standard procedure for Solaris..."
19:12:14: <Patchet> "The truth."
19:12:28: <Calibrete> "A plan will take only 4 minutes to make!"
19:13:05: <Calibrete> "Running around pounding on everything won't help us in the slightest!"
19:13:33: rose_bud takes notes.
19:14:15: Cataclysm frowns, "If it'll only take four minutes then we can make it on the way." tapping a fore hoof in annoyance, "But fine. Say what you want. I plan to just blow the guts of this place into loose scrap. Whoever came up with the idea and designed this place was sick."
19:14:31: JackHammer stops where she is and shouts back to Cali, "What is there to plan? We go into the next section, deal with any threats, and then we figure out what we're dealing with. Planning right now is wasted time."
19:15:09: <GMimezinga> 13 "please don't run around randomly nor pound at the walls during an emergency" the loudspeaker of the base goes on with its serie of communications
19:16:43: Desert_Lightning calls back to the others. "Can we get a move on?"
19:16:54: Calibrete straightens her back. "I think we need to split up and use our talents wisely. We have two objectives to accomplish: Stop the machine, and warn the sea ponies. Now, considering that the machine is most likely tech, I say that Patch, Buddy, and myself go to take a look at that, while Light_Seeker, Jackie, Cataclysm, and Desert_Lightning go to warn the poni

19:18:23: Cataclysm rolls her eyes, "Light Seeker and Patchy already left to warn the sea ponies. Or did you miss that? And besides, there's active security down there. Didn't you hear that? We can't afford to send just a few ponies down there!'
19:19:00: <coGM_Chor> 3The seapony Cold Tide reemerges with the widest smile on her face, along with the excited little seafoals Sushi and Sashimi. "It's working! The doors to Dryland are open! We've all gathered there watching the doors open, and now we can become dirt ponies too! Thank you so much!" she says, while splashing all over. The little ones are squealing along.
19:19:15: <Patchet> "No don't go it is a death trap!"
19:19:18: Calibrete facehoofs. "Then fine! Get Patch back here, and you come with us!"
19:19:18: JackHammer rolls her eyes not realizing Cat did the same thing. Cat's voice does stop her from voicing nearly the same argument though. "Yeah, what she said."
19:19:31: <Light_Seeker> "They will crush you into sea food."
19:19:47: <Patchet> "Show them what we found Light."
19:20:15: Light_Seeker shows Cold Tide the seafood box
19:20:37: <coGM_Chor> 3"What do you mean?" She asks, the smile on her face starting to sag. "But the dirt ponies were originated from the sea ones through these machines, so how could they do anything else than transform us?"
19:22:12: <GMimezinga> 13 "doctor cox in the infirmary bay please, doctor cox in the infiormary bay..."
19:22:17: Cataclysm turns about and begins to return on her course towards maintenance, "Come on. We need to keep moving. Patchy and Light can catch up to us when they're done."
19:22:41: <Light_Seeker> "I'm not sure but for now we know that it will only bring death!"
19:22:57: Desert_Lightning opens the maintenance door and readies his rifle.
19:23:02: Patchet pulls out her pipbuck and pulls up the solaris computer logs and starts reading them allowed. "So you see they do transform you but into ground as in smashed up ponies. They wereturning you all into food!"
19:24:04: <Patchet> "The land ponies here were very very evil ponies. They lied to you."
19:24:21: <coGM_Chor> 3"Of course, it's the death before being reborn as a dirt pony! The legends all tell that! The others don't want to enter because of the noises, but I'll show them!" The little foals are nodding in approval. ...
19:24:55: <Patchet> "No! If you die you are dead you don't come back at all!"
19:24:59: <coGM_Chor> 3She then looks at the terminal, with a blank stare, "Huh, whatever is this thing, is it some kind of light? That's silly though, it's so dark!" She obviously can't read.
19:25:19: <Patchet> "All that awaits you is death there."
19:27:05: Patchet starts crying "I-i dont' want to see the sea ponies made into fish sticks." She starts earnestly bawling and wailing.
19:28:16: <coGM_Chor> 3She smiles in what looks like compassion and understanding, "It's ok, I know that you didn't need to read all those stories because you already were a dirtpony. I'll be waiting down there for the rebirth to happen!" she ends, as she submerges.
19:28:16: JackHammer heads with Cat to the door and stands ready to rush through the moment it opens...or not if it looks like that would be a bad idea. "C'mon, Cal. We'll need your firepower most of all!"
19:28:57: Calibrete trots over to maintenance. Last time she suggests a plan, that's for sure.
19:29:13: Cataclysm glances around, realizing Patchy and Light hadn't returned yet. How long could it possibly take to tell the Sea Ponies what was going on? She rushed towards the entrance, "I'll be right back!" heading towards the outside curious about what was going on. "Patchy? Patchy, we need you to help! Security is sure to be on further inside and-" pausing at the crying and the rippling
19:29:13: Cataclysm water, "Uh. I guess that's a 'we didn't convince them', then? Well then we'd better double hurry!"
19:29:38: <GMimezinga> 13"warning! no living personnel in any of the sections! warning! replacing dinner time with robot bingo soiree"
19:29:54: Patchet runs inside crying. "Cal you have to stop them! Please, they w-wont l-listen t-t-to m-me."
19:29:56: rose_bud follows after Calibrete.

19:31:04: Calibrete turns around. "You want me to what, now?"
19:31:37: Cataclysm acks as Cal rushes past, checking around outside briefly to see if she could see any of the seaponies nearby. This wasn't good at all. She'd return inside once she was sure communications were likely to be impossible.
19:31:52: <Patchet> "They're already going inside the doors!"
19:32:34: <Calibrete> "Well what in the wide world of Equestria do you want me to do about it?"
19:32:51: Light_Seeker just lays by the edge trying to see into the water
19:33:29: Cataclysm trots up, "Come on Light, we need to get back inside and work on stopping this thing before something horrible happens!" She didn't want any of the seaponies to die. That would be awful. Turning to rush back inside again, "If that door won't open, try the one in the command room."
19:33:39: Patchet looks at her hooves sniffiling "I-i-i don't know."
19:34:04: Desert_Lightning tries to open the door
19:39:09: <GMimezinga> 13the commands to open the door don't seem to do anything, the door makes the noise of hydraulic pistons activatiing, but nothing moves
19:39:30: JackHammer looks around for a terminal thingy or maybe one of those levers like they used to open the Command center door to get in here...or for that matter, she checks to see if the jam is something that can be cleared on this side.
19:40:46: rose_bud does what the other ponies are doing, and tries to find a way to open the door
19:40:54: Patchet magics out her wrench and tries to pry the maintence door with all her might. She was a mare on a misson to save seaponies!
19:41:12: Calibrete opened the last door with a lever... Maybe there's another one around here? Calibrete searches for a mechanical way to open the door.
19:43:06: Patchet finds the manual comand and use that to open the door. "Yes now to get smashy!"
19:44:29: Calibrete cracks her neck. It's time to be the door-pony... Again. She walks over to the wheel and starts to crank it.
19:44:38: Cataclysm watches as Patchet begins to open the door, trotting nervously in place, "I think we should probably try the other way instead. Spending so much time here with no guarantees this will get us where we want to go sounds like a bad idea!"
19:45:01: <coGM_Chor> 3The speakers continue, "Remember ponies, tomorrow is casual friday, so remember to show up naked! Air conditioning will be increased for the occasion, for more icebreaking!"
19:45:03: JackHammer pricks up her ears at Patchy's voice. "Good going! Let's do this," she says as she trots over as well.
19:46:06: Light_Seeker heads to the big door with everypony else
19:47:16: Cataclysm trots nervously in place, glancing up and down the halls, "Ugh. This is taking so long... This better be where we need to go!"
19:47:30: Calibrete remembers all the ponies depending on her, and starts to crank like she's never cranked before! Grunting and sweating, she twists it as fast as she can.
19:56:32: JackHammer stretches while she waits, ready to take over for Cali when she starts to tire.
19:56:33: <coGM_Chor> 3"Remember Earth ponies, use Solaris rubber wraps on maintenance tools for increased grip! And remove your safety mask when using them with your mouth, you silly ponies!"
20:04:49: JackHammer is useless at sniping, so she works the level as the final section of the door starts to open. As soon as light shows through, the group is already surveying for threats and discussing possible plans of attack.

20:07:30: Cataclysm steps backwards as the pegasus and earthpony decide to try their skill at shooting (robotic) ducks in a very large barrel. Yes, ducks, mostly because if they were fish they wouldn't be moving around so much and would be far less likely to bite you in return for your kindness.
20:08:22: Desert_Lightning readies Epic Fail and waits for the first opportunity to fire on the sentry bots
20:09:25: Calibrete catches her breath. That was some hard work! With a tiny opening in the door, she sticks the barrel of her sniper rifle through. She counts 3 sentries and 2... what the hell were those?
20:09:50: <coGM_Chor> 3On the other side of the door, through the small slit, three scattered sentrybots are visible, and two floating, winged, moving orbs of sorts. They seem not to care about the door for now.
20:10:38: rose_bud climbs on the ponies around the slowly opening door, trying to peek through
20:11:52: <coGM_Chor> 3The speakers continue during the wait: "Attention, we'd like to remember all security robots that the planned strike for last week was actually suspended! We apologize for the inconvenience."
20:13:04: rose_bud spots the floating bots. "They've got some really big guns!"
20:14:40: Calibrete gulps. "Yeah... Really... REALLY big guns."
20:14:43: Cataclysm raises a hoof to her face, "Just pick your targets and start shooting, unless you'd rather I try to blow them up?"
20:15:20: Light_Seeker stands far away from the door
20:20:17: JackHammer keeps slowly working the door wider open as everypony that's shooting lines up their shots.
20:21:32: rose_bud hops off of Calibrete as she lines up a shot.
20:23:37: Calibrete wipes the sweat off of her brow. Licking her lips, she bites the bit of her saddle, firing two shots at one of the floating sentries.
20:24:46: Cataclysm covers her ears at the gunshots going off, staying well away from that opening as she doesn't much want to get shot by return fire!
20:25:41: Desert_Lightning Follows Calibrete's lead and pops two shots off at the other floating bot.
20:26:45: JackHammer glances over at Light_Seeker as a thought occurs to her. "Say Seeekr, you were planning to teleport us through the gap in that door, right?"
20:26:57: <coGM_Chor> 3The drone is hit almost simultaneously by several shots, and flutters briefly in midair, gaining height before fizzling and falling uncerimoniously to the ground. Other sentries ar heard shouting in their metallic voices "The light of Hokuto won't dim so easily, foals!" as they rearrange to attack through the slit.
20:30:10: Desert_Lightning tries to bring his/her gun around. "I wanna get a shot in at one of those sentry bots, move."
20:30:51: Calibrete grumbles.
20:37:38: Desert_Lightning lines up his rifle and fires twice. The first shot misses, but second hits true leaving a rather large hole in the nearest sentry bot. "Yes!" he/she exclaims.
20:40:34: <coGM_Chor> 3The fire from the robot guards is unrelenting, and a first volley of lead flies through the slit, hitting and injuring Desert_Lightning all over! She winces from the intense pain.
20:41:31: Desert_Lightning is severly injured and close to death
20:42:01: <Patchet> "Desert!"
20:43:29: Calibrete wanted a bloodbath, but preferably not a bath in the blood of his friend! "Fucking shit!"
20:44:34: <coGM_Chor> 3The bullet fire is unrelenting, and Calibrete is caught in the stray fire as well. Several hits pierce through her armor, graze her head, and injure her shoulder.
20:46:19: Calibrete smiles despite herself. Finally! A fight that's worth all the training: all the blood, sweat, and tears!
20:50:54: Calibrete fires randomly into the room, more concerned for Desert_Lightning's sake. She then jumps out of the line of fire, taking Desert along with her.
20:51:23: <GMimezinga> 13as soon as cal clears the hole, the bullets from the other 2 sentries start storming inside the small hole, making a lot of noise but not hurting anypony
20:52:53: Desert_Lightning is bleeding extensively from multiple bullet wounds and not very lucid
20:53:15: <coGM_Chor> 3Subsequently, noises of bumping against the metal door can be heard, "Surrender trepassers! Give yourselves to justice so you can be properly exterminated!"
20:54:28: JackHammer looks to Patchy. "Don't just stand there yelling. Help them!"
20:56:14: Cataclysm blinks at the sound of the robots rushing up to the doorway. She wasn't sure this was the best plan as she listened to them ram the door, digging into her bag for a stick of dynamite. "I hope that blast door is as solid as it looks..." sneaking up closer, her intent simple, light it and throw it through the opening then get the hell away from the door!
20:58:10: JackHammer grins. "Great idea, Cat!"
20:58:43: Desert_Lightning moans and reachs for a healing potion and his bandages
21:02:56: <coGM_Chor> 3The banging continues, "You can't *BONK* escape the tiger den, *BANG* Naoto Date!" *BONK*
21:02:56: rose_bud fusses over the injured Desert_Lightning, unable to do anything useful but providing moral support
21:03:18: <GMimezinga> 13 a writing appears on DL's view range "you are a complete failure, you didnt' even succeeded in removinhg you from the pony genetic pool, you loser!"
21:03:52: Calibrete uses this time to kick her reload lever, changing the magazine from his sniper rifle.
21:04:46: Desert_Lightning drinks the potion, and then bandages any wounds that didn't fully close. All the time mumbling about how his gun hates him.
21:06:45: Cataclysm lights and tosses the dynamite, promptly hitting the deck, "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" in this case, quite literally. Thankfully, giant blast doors!
21:07:25: Patchet runs over to Desert and begins looking over her wounds. "Now don't fuss I'll get you fixed up in ten seconds flat!"
21:07:52: <coGM_Chor> 3A giant BAMF is heard through the door, as a great displacement of air happens through the slit. The banging stops for a good ten seconds, before continuing. "The flesh is weak *BANG* but the circuit works in parallel! *BONG*"
21:10:47: JackHammer yells to Seeker again, "Are you able to teleport things without teleporting yourself?"
21:10:52: rose_bud "Patchy!"
21:11:02: rose_bud points at Desert_Lightning. "Fix it!"
21:11:42: Patchet 's horn glows as the magical healing is bestowed upon the wounded pegasus.
21:12:38: Desert_Lightning feels alot batter, but still not great
21:13:59: <Patchet> "Hold on I've got one more in me!"
21:14:06: <Light_Seeker> "I have no idea!"
21:18:49: JackHammer yells back, "Well now would be a good time to try! See if you can stick the sentries where they can't get us...or just pop them into the air and drop them."
21:19:31: <Patchet> "I still have enough juice to float one through the hole."
21:20:46: Cataclysm digs out another stick, "I've only got two sticks left... And two missiles... We've got at least one sentry, and one of those weird orb things, right?"
21:21:03: <Calibrete> "Three sentries, one floater."
21:22:17: Cataclysm nods her head, "Not enough dynamite for everything. So. Uh. What do you want to do about it?"
21:22:49: Calibrete turns to the group. "Hold on, I've always wanted to try this..."
21:23:19: Calibrete shouts at the top of his lungs, "THIS IS THE SOLARIS CEO! STOP FIRING THIS INSTANT!"
21:25:28: <GMimezinga> 13"ERROR! Bianca solaris voice not corresponding.... beep... beep... you filthy liar..." th shooting doubles "KABUTO KOJIIIIIII
21:26:40: Calibrete shrugs. "Worth a shot!"
21:27:04: JackHammer grumbles loudly, "How about this - does anypony have the juice left to try flipping a sentinel onto its side?"
21:28:57: Desert_Lightning forces him/herself back to his/her hooves. "We're representatives of the CEO, the one talking is her body double!"
21:29:36: Cataclysm scootches up closer to the doorway, next stick of dynamite in a hoof, looking down at it then looking back up towards the doorway. Waiting for the others to try the 'diplomatic' approach, "I don't think you're going to be able to convince robots of something like that. Besides, these things are crazy!"
21:30:03: Desert_Lightning nods. "I'm counting on the crazy."
21:33:45: <Light_Seeker> "Um Jackie that would be very hard on me and might injury me."
21:37:02: JackHammer sighs and hangs her head. "Well shoot, I'm running kinda low on ideas then..."
21:37:27: Calibrete 's ears perk. Shoot? She could do that!

But she didn't much want to deal with that if somepony else had an idea. Especially as machines weren't really her 'thing'.

21:56:47: <coGM_Chor> 3Cataclysm tries as she might, but the sentries were warned by Jackhammer's peeks and were ready to fire! A bullet from the floating sentry hit Cataclysm right on her upper leg, causing her to lose her footing temporarily on it, not to mention the pain.
21:58:06: <GMimezinga> 13the rocket silently flies trhtrough the air, making no noise at all, and hits the ceiling next to a crane; the explosion detaches one of the two large industrial lifters from their 200 years ols fixing cables and by falling, a whole line of catwalks follows it
21:59:07: JackHammer dives for Cat the moment she slumps away from the hole. "Are you okay? I've got bandages!" Using the door for cover, she swiftly checks to make sure the bullet is out of the wound, calling for Patchy to come help her.
22:00:48: Cataclysm winces, heaving a sudden yelp and gasp as she was shot, then subsequently dragged off. Blood was already staining her armor and worse as the bullet wound sunk in, "I'll be okay. J-just a little scratch. Get me some bandages and I'll be fine for now. Better to save the healing for somepony who really needs it!"
22:01:01: <GMimezinga> a whole load of whatever solaris used to fuel the ships was just on the catwalks; it takes fire as soon as the exploding shrapnels hit it, there is a very lrge explosion in the hangar and it makes the structure itself shake, a pillar of almost solid smoke explodes from the small hole in the blast door, dipping the entrance room into chocking darkness

22:48:48: Calibrete studies the row of terminals. "Well you see, dear Cat, these are com-pu-tors."
22:49:05: JackHammer follows Cat to the door and breaks out the special lab coat she's been saving then puts it on...for SCIENCE!
22:49:42: Desert_Lightning immediately pushes the nearest pony out of the room
22:50:02: Cataclysm raises a hoof to her face, "Yes. I got that. What are they -doing-?" shaking her head and acks as she's suddenly getting shoved around by Desert_Lightning, "Hey. Hey! What's going on?" flailing her hooves in confusion.
22:50:15: <Desert_Lightning> "GET OUT NOW!" he yells at the top of his/her lungs "Poison!"
22:51:14: Calibrete stops her intellectual examination of the terminals and bolts out of the room.
22:51:24: JackHammer doesn't get to science anything though because, you know, she's not stupid about poison.
22:52:07: Cataclysm doesn't need much more warning than that, galloping towards the exit. Being a professional miner taught you a few things. One of those was 'when someone yells poison, get the hell out'.
22:52:18: Desert_Lightning backtracks quickly. "Stay away from the door." pacing back and forth he begins thniking up a solution to the problem.
22:52:52: JackHammer backs off with the others and asks DL, "Think you can blow the poison free without gassing us?"
22:53:44: Desert_Lightning nods. "Maybe, if I can get it right. A hurricane might do it, maybe."
22:54:56: Calibrete facehoofs. "A hurricane? In a POWER plant? Why don't you just try blowing the air out? With wind."
22:56:15: Cataclysm reaches a hoof up behind her ear, rubbing it a little, "Well... Uh... We don't have any rebreathers or gas masks or something... So I guess our only real option is to wait." grumbling a little bit, "Figures. On a time limit and somehow they manage to find all the ways to make us take longer! It's like someone designed this place deliberately to waste time."
22:56:49: Desert_Lightning shakes his head. "Enclosed space, plus poison and a whole lot of other factors. I need to get the air out, hurricane is the best solution."

We should go find a compass and the other things we need for our ship,

She was worried about the seaponies, but at the moment there wasn't anything they could do for them... If she was lucky they'd be okay. If she wasn't... Well... 23:23:24: Cataclysm slowly steps up to the door into the scientific section, reaching a hoof to the button to open it, to check what was inside, "Let's see if we can find a compass somewhere in here which actually works..."
23:23:58: Light_Seeker jumps onto DL's back and hugs him very hard

23:25:48: <GMimezinga> 13the scientific section is a serie of laboratories, organized as a small hive around a central circular room; there are at least 12 of them, but the most part is empty. there are though enough measuring instruments to fix the navigation console of the ship and maybe to improve it, and also, one of the labs is labeled as Weapons R&D
23:26:36: Desert_Lightning heads towards the weapons section.
23:26:50: Cataclysm peers into the side rooms and heads eventually towards the weapons room, "Well at least we've found pretty much everything we need, right?"
23:26:57: Calibrete slaps the buttons a few more times for good measure, after hearing the warning. Content, she goes into the Scientific Section. Seeing the room labeled R&D, she charges for it with all of her speed!

23:36:41: Desert_Lightning looks at him Sternly. "It doesn't look made for ponies."
23:37:25: Cataclysm glances back towards the others, "All the more reason Cal should have it. The weapon would fit fine on her battle saddle with a little modification I bet."
23:37:52: Calibrete points to his Battle Saddle. "Give me a few hours and a work bench and I'll have that puppy integrated, no problem."
23:38:01: JackHammer interjects, "If it's not made for ponies, doesn't that mean you pretty much have to fit it into a battlesaddle just to fire it effectively?"
23:38:09: rose_bud looks at the weapons carefully. Perhaps they were some kind of fish?
23:40:16: Cataclysm frowns a little, looking at the scuba gear, "You think we should head down there to warn the seaponies if there are any left? The damage is probably pretty bad... I'm a little worried about this place coming apart."
23:48:54: JackHammer shrugs then nods. "Probably a good idea, Cat."
23:49:24: Calibrete headbutts the case, then scrambles on the rifle within.
