Out

I was stupid. Maybe I'm still stupid. If I never listened to one word out of that fool's mouth, I might have gotten out on parole by now. But he said he knew the way out, and I was so desperate that I didn't question him. I got a lot more questions now. Like how he knew about this tunnel beneath the prison. Or how he didn't realize where it truly led before dragging the rest of us down with him.

He died on our first day down here, laughing as a devil's tail looped around his neck and dragged him up into the ceiling. I've done my best by the rest, keeping them away from the sulfur pits and the hyena men and the smoke loops that tell you how you'll die. Not sure how to get out. Not sure if there's still a way out. But if we're damned, we'll be damned together.
