  1. 20:24] Aranel swings Redemption over his head, slamming it down to cut off the path of a Jianghese. Nothing personal, of course, but it was just someone who happened to be close by. Dreamer's energies rose up around him, wildly lashing and tuggng on any mana in its vicinity-- including that of Artaius'.
  2.
  3. "I still grant you the option to surrender your arms and come along to Crafthold willingly, Ardent-dweller. I believe most are only blinded, not dumb by nature."
  4.
  5. The hammer was heaved up onto his shoulder, gleaming bright with radiant energies. The Neries was almost too friendly, especially for it being in the middle of a war.
  6. (Aranel Keseth)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [20:26] The battle's begun. In the battlefield, the sound of swords clashing and plate mails hitting the floor is everything she can hear, along with the screams of hopeless men losing their lives.
  10.
  11. Artaius gives a step forward. A toxic harmful gas is created around her. A green liquid running out of her sleeves as she was only falling even more into Poison magic. She was learning to create even more dangerous and deadly toxic clouds and acids.
  12.
  13. Her gaze fell upon the Neries, her staff on her hand as she stops in front of him, she just stared at him and gaze a brief sigh.
  14.
  15. "I fear this will not happen. Someone that is with the Demon kin is someone that is up with Oppresion, fear, Death and bloodlust, this shall not continue. I thank your offer, however i fear that the blinded one is you, i fear this won't ever change." She was ready to fight if needed...
  16. (Artaius Lignum)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [20:29] "I see. That is... a shame."
  20.
  21. His job wasn't to convince the enemy, but to extend his hand and give them the option. If they wished to take it was up to them and since she hadn't...
  22.
  23. Aranel leapt forth, slamming Redemption down in an attempt to end the fight early.
  24. (Aranel Keseth)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [20:34] A hard fight. The battle has begun, the blood was shed, no come back from what started. Her fighting style became more vicious and she had changed a lot. The previous lover of the Nature and of the cycle had changed, every single one of her blows is violent, she holds no mercy.
  28.
  29. The Poisonous cloud around her entes his body by the skin, scent and even as the green liquid is shed against him. She was fighting with all her mighty for her nation, for the people she loves.
  30.
  31. Even the Mandrakes were starting to get influenzed by the Poison of her, they were getting aggresive and also holding some toxins, her gaze fell upon him as she threw the Neries away with a vine whip and swings the staff in the air with mighty.
  32.
  33. "Give up and we can make this less painful, Neries, it is uselss to resist. It's over, Gaiar will lose this, however, i can still offere salvation."
  34. (Artaius Lignum)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [20:36] Even while overpowered by the woman's vile magics, the Neries remained standing tall. Her-- the Dreamer's, energies vigorously tugged and siphoned from the woman's clouds, using their mana to bolster the Neries himself.
  38.
  39. "Those who stand in the way of progress-- will perish." Once more, the Neries charged forth.
  40. (Aranel Keseth)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [20:36] Artaius Lignum says, "So be it..."
  44. [20:39] The field wasn't one of poison for the Neries, but a mine; A field filled with mana that was just ready to be siphoned and used for his own. Mercurial mana kept wildly lashing against all around him, absorbing all that it is able to get hold of and--
  45.
  46. Surely it looked like the Neries' own mana had started to intensify, using the woman as his battery.
  47.
  48. "Perish."
  49.
  50. A simple command before earthern walls and holy energies all homed in onto the woman, intending to crush her in a single move.
  51. (Aranel Keseth)
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53.
  54. [20:43] The battle was cruel, nobody was holding back and that just made it even more brutal, the crimson blood of the Dryad covers her arms and a bit of her White cloths, the damage was already made.
  55.
  56. However she wasn't defeated yet, both were great fightes, her gaze fell upon him, she would slowly get up and clense her fists, the Poison around her just got stronger as it would cover her own skin, she looked up to him and held her staff tightly...
  57.
  58. "I still can't understand how someone can be so fool... They don't know kindness, mercy, nor love... Following such kin is suicide, deep inside, you know you're just being used..." She smirks, that was pretty fun... Once again, she marshes to battle.
  59. (Artaius Lignum)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62. [20:49] The battle was rough to the Archon, but yet, he found focus in his wrath- he found resolve in his wounds- he found faith in his ability.
  63.
  64. Fighting much like a cornered beast, the duo of magi were able to get the best out of Zaruma. Truly, he fought with all his might, he pulled with all his strength, and he showed no mercy in his strikes. The constant glow of crimson in his eyes could only remind them that they were fighting a beast, not just a man.
  65.
  66. And that beast has proven too much for them.
  67.
  68. Finding them weakened, Zaruma found a point of weakness, the purple blood spilling from his wounds only fuelling his rage- the Fairy was dealt a sudden blast of wind, a dark one at that, and it proved too much for her to handle. After all, once she was weakened by Zaruma's blows, she could not withstand it, felling to his magics.
  69.
  70. "SUFFER ME NOW!"
  71.
  72. The Fairy was dealt with, but battle was not over. His mind had almost forgotten another opponent in his fury...
  73.
  74. Yet- the Sirenian was noted, particularly, for his ability of Greed. It wasn't the first time that Zaruma dealt with such, no; the likes of Caesar and Brazha had shown him their power before, and he knew very well what he's dealing with.
  75.
  76. With the Sirenian's approach, the scythe was suddenly launched across his abdomen, much like a flying blade- cutting him deep, it was enough to weaken him, and with the sudden pull, it was drawn backwards with the force of Telekinesis, piercing his back as well.
  77.
  78. Before he knew it, the Tempest leapt at him, bending Pasis to his knees, and loudly exclaiming.
  79.
  80. "YOU. WILL--"
  81.
  82. "SUBMIT!"
  83.
  84. And Pasis felt pain. A lot of pain. The gryphon marking, a bird of the prey, was planted upon his cheek along with the mark of hand- a shaming display of magi being humiliated like that, wounded and sapped of his life force while he's on his knees.
  85.
  86. But perhaps it wasn't the worst. After all, being distracted by his own charade, Zaruma couldn't notice the approaching Fourfold reinforcements- it forced him to lose his grip on Pasis, and Fae could already have lots of time to escape.
  87.
  88. -And while the Archon was busy fighting off those reinforcements, the magi were able to escape.
  89.
  90. But at what cost? All these Fourfold soldiers would be slaughtered by Tempest as they run. The price of blood was inevitable.
  91. (Zaruma)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [20:49] Once more, the Neries relentlessly charged through the poisonous clouds. Barriers forming around him, bolstered by the siphoned energies, kept his body protected from her magics, allowing him to go on the offensive.
  95.
  96. And when she, too, did, a blow that would end the woman was struck-- or at least he hoped it to.
  97.
  98. Earthern walls rose up on both sides as his free hand reached out, gripping hold of the woman's throat. In an instant, the Neries' siphon had started; Artaius mana being pulled out of her body without any ability to resist.
  99.
  100. "You speak of mercry and compassion, yet you oppose progress-- progress that would allow a man to see his dead wife once more; progress that would allow a dead man to fight for--"
  101.
  102. A mandrake appears to have climbed the wall and drops down an earthern orb straight onto the Neries, sending him staggering backwards. While Artaius would by no means be in a position to continue the fight, perhaps it was an excellent chance to escape?
  103.
  104. And, if anything, it had put an end to that awful monologue of his.
  105. (Aranel Keseth)
  106. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  107.
  108. [21:01] Defeat
  109.
  110. The blood on her White clothes tainted it Crimson completely, upon the vision of the defeat ans possibly the fall of her current home, everything the Dryad could do upon that despairing and terrible scene was to fall on her knees and watch as her legs lose it's strength.
  111.
  112. The Poison around her was no more. The Dryad bless that embraces her is now gone, only pain and regret remais, despair and fear. Fear for the ones she loves that were also fighting on that bloody arena that they faked as if it as if they were actually fighting for something, but the truth is that this is all a teather from the gods, Destiny wants it to be like that. Humans were born to fight. Conflict is something bond to humanity.
  113.
  114. Upon his words, nothing came from the defeated poor's lips. Only a small giggle, there was no reason to see a dead person if it isn't the same anymore. Corruption and darkness is what makes it bad, not just because she finds it wrong, the damageto the Nature...
  115.
  116. ...It never mattered, actually. Perhaps it was just she being selfish. Her own will hid behind a mask of moral, things like 'the cycle' and 'the lifestam', did those really matter...? Would she keep thinking such if Arie and Awa died...?
  117.
  118. Only god knows.
  119.
  120. Upon seeing an opening, she slowly gets up and gets away, a weak mist of Poison covers her body as she gets away. This was the first time she was defeated in a battlefield, of the many she fought in. The scars will remain forever, perhaps...?
  121.
  122. (Artaius Lignum)
