  1. [21:36:25] Finally!
  2.
  3. After pouring over book after book after book, Thom’s grey eyes would have fallen onto something that would seem to interest him. While the boy had a bunch of offensive magic, and things that could be used for fights and scraps what he didn’t have before was a more passive magic that would be able to help him outside of the fights. As such, when he finally discovered a novel on spirit summoning the boy seemed quite happy. Finally he had discovered something that held an interest for him, and so stepping away from the book cass in Nostvale’s castle with the book Thom would whistle, looking for a nice place to read it.

  5. [21:37:16] Ok maybe all of this in the book wouldn’t be all it was cracked up to be;
  6.
  7. While Thom had begun to pour over the spirit summoning novel’s contents the boy became more and more aware that spirits sounded weak.. Sure, they could fight and punch and do things in a battle but the spirits themselves didn’t sound like they held swords or weapons. While Thom could perhaps summon one spirit that had far more power then three they just all together didn’t sound that appetizing, which made the child frown quite a bit. But wasn’t such to be expected honestly? They were only spirits..

  9. [21:37:16] So what was stronger then a spirit?
  10.
  11. This question worked itself into Thom’s mind as he continued to look over the pages of summoning. Yokai were much stronger then spirits.. The youth recalled the time he had fought a kaor, and knocked out its tooth.. That monster was much stronger then any of the spirits were but Thom had to think more.. What was even close to that amount of strenght? Maybe a well trained magi but Thom couldn’t summon those.. Which made the boy inquire yet again.
  12.
  13. What could be summoned?
  14. (Thom)
  15. [21:38:08] The boy would stand up from the area to the west of the dojo (forgot to mention that this is where he was in the past rps, whoops), and would once again dash towards Nostvale’s castle. Actually, it was now feeling like a pretty dumb idea not to read the material inside the castle. After all, the books and materials were there for everyone to use right?.. He certainly hoped so as he went to the area which held the books, the medical center for some reason. Once there he looked for various summoning books.. There had to be more things then just spirits after all wasn’t there? Luckily he would find some, and pretty quickly he moved from the bookshelves to up the stairs, looking for a table to sit at and read the books.

  17. [21:38:59] Thom gazed over the pages as he flipped them, consdering what type of summons he could possibly use. There were several mentioned in the book, being first yokai, which Thom had no want or desire to control, especially given his father’s order he never ally with a yokai. Following that would be exorcist summons, which were also not interesting to the youth as given he was an occultist he would never be able to bring them out. Following that of course was spirit summons which the boy didn’t think was strong enough. Thom was proving himself to be quite picky when it came down to these summons wasn’t he?

  19. [21:39:50] Two more sections of different summons, and the grey eyes glanced over them quickly. The first was skurns, creatures made out of an element but from the reading they didn’t seem to have a mind of their own, or at least from the descriptions they sounded kind of meek to Thom. But if there was nothing better the boy decided he would try to do that up until the point he read the opener of the next section.
  20.
  21. Elementals.
  22.
  23. This section was much shorter then the others. In fact it appeared that there was rather little information on the summoning of elementals themselves. It appeared to be a rather recently discovered art but the pictures in the books displayed things that made Thom grin. They truely looked strong.. And thus his idea for learning to use elemental summons would truely begin to take root.
