To Put It Succinctly

If I were on a mission instead of just a spark stuck in a situation, and the difficulties of my mission were known going in, I think my performance would be considered acceptable. Up until very recently I think it would have been considered an exemplary or heroic performance.

So if people are upset that's the reason I'm confused.
