BB 233, a cainei cactus

Appearance: a many-lobed cainei sparkling with spines
Dropped: A squat cainei cactus springs up here, pastel lobes jutting from the trunk at odd angles.
Examined: Bulbous and sprawling, this large cactus is made up of a main pastel green trunk from which several large spherical lobes grow. Each lobe has smaller lobes, all jutting from the trunk and secondary lobes at odd angles. Each cactus is a melange of pastel colors, each lobe a slightly different hue than the others. Most cacti stick to one or two main colors, but some are comprised of a huge variety of shades. Short spines circle the cacti entirely, spine lines around one inch apart from one another, but more closely packed on the line itself. The spines are the same color as the flesh they spring from, turning darker as they age.
