  1. Hello GFL Staff, I’m making this thread to address the lack of activity from the GFL Staff. I’ve been talking to a few of you recently about this and I am trying to make my points clear and explain why I am frustrated. I’ve made a public thread recently where I am also expressing my frustration which got a lot of attention from the public. The public is frustrated as well.

  3. GFL recently has been going downhill overall. We’ve had some upsides, one being the Technical Administrator and Developer Team revamp. But other than, I haven’t seen that much progress from other areas. We still have a lot to do and I am not seeing anything near enough being done by some of you. Many of you appear unmotivated and something needs to change.

  5. Firstly, the Community Advisor team needs to step up. This team is the front-line of GFL, the face of GFL. I do not see enough happening at all. I believe we tried holding a meeting about this a few weeks ago but not much was accomplished. Many of you are asking “What is there to do?”. Right off the bat, I can list some things:

  9. That’s right off the bat. There are also plenty of other ideas waiting to be expanded on in this section. If you ran out of ideas? Well, then come up with more, there are always ways to improve GFL. You guys are the front-line, you’re in-charge. That means you’re also responsible for looking for ways to improve the community. I shouldn’t be the one coming up with most of the ideas.

  11. With that said, activity needs to be addressed. In order for this community to skyrocket, you guys need to be more active daily. Stop waiting until meetings to get something kick-started and just do it (perhaps just send a quick Discord message in Trusted saying if it’s okay to start it and then go with it). Meetings do not happen often and people taking on projects should not rely on these meetings. Meetings should only be required for VERY IMPORTANT decisions or something that needs critical and needs to be addressed. Try to talk to the Directors often giving updates and such. The more active we are daily, the more likely things will actually get done. I will be speaking with the other directors and address a revamp on the CA rank as a whole (give the role a new purpose and such).

  13. I understand some of you are busy with work and life, but we need at least some members to be active daily (working on projects, getting things done). If that’s not possible, I’m telling you guys right now, this community will NOT get anywhere near what our goals are. The most that’ll happen is it’ll be at a standstill which obviously isn’t what we want.

  15. Now, I’ve already talked to a couple DLs about what needs to happen in the divisions and I’m hoping it works out. I do have confidence. But a few points I made in the Community Advisor rant also applies to our divisions. I feel we need to start doing things on a daily basis and getting things done sooner. If we want to close a server, discuss it and then do it. Don’t wait weeks, months, etc to do it. Just get it done. Same thing with opening up new server (obviously don’t expand too quickly, but yeah), discuss it and get working on it immediately (that night, the next day, etc). It shouldn’t take a few weeks, months to get a server setup (unless if it’s VERY complex). Most servers should take a few days max unless if it’s a complicated server (e.g. roleplay). Our divisions ARE dying and yes school has started, but most divisions are worse than they were a year ago at this same time. It’s time to step up.

  17. I’m going to end the rant here and speak to most of you individually or in groups. I’ll be addressing things in Discord. I’ve been very frustrated with the progress of this community for a while now and I want to get back to being the #1 gaming community. My goals are very high in GFL. This community needs more dedicated members who will be actively working on it. And I mean working on it daily for the most part. Working on it often. Back when SoJa and I were here, we focused on GFL pretty much ¾ of our day, everyday and obviously, that’s too high for most of you (work and life get in the way). But if we all work as a team and become more and more active, it’ll be equivalent to what SoJa and I did in no time and GFL will be skyrocketing once again (much better than before).

  19. If you guys need to let things out, do it here. If you’re frustrated and want to be heard, do it in this thread. I didn’t make this thread to be formal, I wanted to express my frustration and I want things to improve HEAVILY. We’ve had some great promotions recently with @Xy_ and @Nick. I am very excited to be working with these individuals and this is a big start (in my opinion, REQUIRED for GFL to get back on its feet). But there are still MANY others in this community we need to step up.
