gushing_granny: gets rescued by the master

gushing_granny: and now, hes learning how to use energy

gushing_granny: NOT in the dumbass way he did before.

gushing_granny: fast forward like, a few days after dan almost learned how to move his pulse

gushing_granny: dan is sitting there

gushing_granny: in the middle of a courtyard

gushing_granny: his eyes are shut tight

gushing_granny: "come on, come on...."

gushing_granny: he shuts his eyes tighter

gushing_granny: dans eyes are about to burst

gushing_granny: a small wave of air erupts from dans body, he opens his eyes and gasps loudly

gushing_granny: he pounds the ground "FUCK, ALMOST HAD IT AGAIN"

gushing_granny: "umm, dan.....you've been sitting there for atleast 2 hours now....wanna go play?"

gushing_granny: a small peach colored alien boy speaks from the corner of the room

gushing_granny: dan looks back at the alien boy "look, kid."

gushing_granny: dan then thinks back to all the times his big sister ignored him when she was doing something important

gushing_granny: "......"

gushing_granny: "yeah, sure."

gushing_granny: he gets up, and walks away from the courtyard with the alien boy

gushing_granny: "oh, you're going to love this!"

gushing_granny: "hmm, i bet."

gushing_granny: he leads dan into a small field, a few other teenage looking agravian boys are standing out there

gushing_granny: "HEY, HES HERE, GET HIM"

gushing_granny: "wait wha"

gushing_granny: the alien boys create small orbs of fire in their hands, then rush dan as fast as they can

gushing_granny: "woah woah woah wtf"

gushing_granny: one the boys gets near dan first and tries to hit him with the ball of energy

gushing_granny: dan backpedals away from the boys

gushing_granny: "what the hell are these guys doing?"

gushing_granny: he turns to the boy

gushing_granny: "hey, did you just lead me into a trap?"

gushing_granny: the boy sheepishly looks down and mutters as dan narrowly dodges a fist covered in flames

gushing_granny: "well, umm.....THE MASTER MADE ME DO IT"

gushing_granny: dan blocks an assault from 2 agravian teenagers, then grabs their arms and throws them away

gushing_granny: "speak of the fucking devil."

gushing_granny: the master suddenly appears in the field out of thin air

gushing_granny: "ok boys, you can stop attacking."

gushing_granny: "fuck master, you didnt tell us this new guy was this strong....." one of the agravian teenagers muttered

gushing_granny: "silence child. it simply means you have not been putting enough time into your training."

gushing_granny: the teenager crosses his arms and frowns as dan steps up to the master

gushing_granny: "what the hell was that?"

gushing_granny: the master, almost completely ignoring his question, looks around dan at the small group of agravian boys he just beat

gushing_granny: "damn, sister. you put a number on these guys. your training is coming along well."

gushing_granny: dan furrows his eyebrow

gushing_granny: "oh. so you were testing me. well, i was in the middle of something, so if you could all kindl-"

gushing_granny: "THINK FAST"

gushing_granny: the master punches dan in the face

gushing_granny: dan recoils heavily, almost falling to the ground

gushing_granny: ".....fuck, i forgot about that"

gushing_granny: "damn it dan, didnt i tell you TWICE before that every minute or so im around you during your training im going to try to punch you in the face?"

gushing_granny: "yeah, yeah, i know....but, listen, ive been thinking."

gushing_granny: "50 more seconds....."

gushing_granny: "what if i started trying to control my pulse again?"

gushing_granny: "well its been 3 days, and you havent come close to getting as far as you did before....."

gushing_granny: "i know i know, but...."

gushing_granny: "and you suck at fighting and you arent that strong either, so we should focus on that first."

gushing_granny: "ive been making progress, watch!"

gushing_granny: dan widens his stance

gushing_granny: he begins to intensely concentrate

gushing_granny: he puts every ounce of his brainpower into mapping out the size and texture of his pulse

gushing_granny: "come on, damn it....."

gushing_granny: the master looks on unamused "20 more seconds...."

gushing_granny: dan, concentrating so hard he cant hear the master, continues his attempt at controlling his pulse

gushing_granny: "grrrrrr....."

gushing_granny: the master yawns slightly "15 more seconds...."

gushing_granny: dust particles begin to rise around dans body

gushing_granny: "i......can.....do.....t​his!!!"

gushing_granny: dan shuts his eyes extremely tight, vividly imagining a complex matrix of imaginary muscles and colorful body parts connected to his body, it makes his skin tingle with its intensity

gushing_granny: the air around dans body begins to swirl, small rocks begin to rise into the air slowly

gushing_granny: the master shuts his eyes for a moment, then opens them and sighs "5 more seconds."

gushing_granny: "comeoncomeoncomeon im so close this time, yes i can feel it, ye-"

gushing_granny: the master punches dan in the face again, he flies back a few meters

gushing_granny: dan looks up, his nose bloodied "fuck me."

gushing_granny: fast forward a few hours

gushing_granny: dan is sparring with the master, training for general combat

gushing_granny: the little alien boy looks on from behind a doorway, studying their moves

gushing_granny: "hey, stop punching so hard damnit!"

gushing_granny: dan backpedals away from the master

gushing_granny: "then how are you supposed to get stronger, child?"

gushing_granny: the master advances towards dan at a blazing speed, then quickly knocks him into the air

gushing_granny: "grr...."

gushing_granny: lets see how good you are at blocking attacks like these.

gushing_granny: "wait, what" dan flips and lands squarely on his feet, getting into a defensive stance

gushing_granny: "kan technique, druckwelle!"

gushing_granny: "wait a second, what was that german for....."

gushing_granny: the master extends his hand, and a massive wave of electricity bursts from it

gushing_granny: "come on dan, you gotta think fast" he thinks as the electrical wave nears him

gushing_granny: he back pedals

gushing_granny: "shit, its the only thing i can think of....."

gushing_granny: dan floods his mind with intense desires to get back at his enemies, and a thirst for power and superiority

gushing_granny: his pulse begins to extend

gushing_granny: a giant wave a bright blue energy bursts from within dans body, it impacts the electricity and they both dissipate

gushing_granny: "hmm? i thought you were going to try to use your pulse again and get electrocuted." the master says with brevity

gushing_granny: dan side eyes the master, twitching slightly at the pain that followed using that attack "thanks for the vote of confidence."

gushing_granny: "no, no, it was a compliment."

gushing_granny: "you understand your strengths and weaknesses, and react to your obstacles accordingly."

gushing_granny: dan shrugs, with a confident look on his face "well, if you put it like that....."

gushing_granny: the master flies forth at a blazing speed and punches dan in the face

gushing_granny: he looks down at dan, recoiling in pain "oh come on, i was only using 3% of my full speed. are you seriously that slow?"

gushing_granny: a few hours pass

gushing_granny: dan, the little agravian boy, and the master are sitting at a very finely constructed, futuristic table, eating food

gushing_granny: dan noms down on a slab of meat "holy crap, what is this stuff, it tastes *om* great!" dan says with his mouth full

gushing_granny: the master side eyes dan for having poor table manners, when suddenly the alien boy speaks

gushing_granny: "umm.....master?"

gushing_granny: the master and dan look at the little boy, surprised at his sudden speech

gushing_granny: "what is it child? tell me whats on your mind, little one."

gushing_granny: "yeah. *om* what he said."

gushing_granny: the little alien boy sheepishly looks at the ground "well...."

gushing_granny: he looks up at the master with a furious countenance "you're always playing with dan master, and it isnt fair!"

gushing_granny: "for me, and the rest of the guys who want nothing but to learn how to control fire!"

gushing_granny: "control what now." dan retorts as he chugs down a slimy, translucent alien drink

gushing_granny: "you heard me! let me play with you and the master dan! tell him!"

gushing_granny: the master looks at dan "yeah. tell me."

gushing_granny: dan goes wide eyed and begins thinking frantically "he cant hit you every 60 seconds while you are eating, he cant hit you while you are eating, he cant hit you while you are eating"

gushing_granny: instead of answering the alien boys question, he begins shoveling food into his mouth vehemently

gushing_granny: ".....dan, is everything ok?"

gushing_granny: "9 MINUTES, 15 SECONDS"

gushing_granny: the peach colored boy side eyes dan and turns to the master "plllleeeeeaasssseee"

gushing_granny: "child, you do know what we are doing is not considered play, correct?"

gushing_granny: "well, i know, but...."

gushing_granny: "and that it is much too dangerous for you to be training with he and i."

gushing_granny: "i already let you train with kids 3 times your age as it is."

gushing_granny: the alien boy looks down at the ground sheepishly

gushing_granny: "ive been practicing my pyromancy....ive gotten pretty good....i can hold my own against you guys....."

gushing_granny: "im sure you have, little one."

gushing_granny: he pats the boys head

gushing_granny: the agravian child sighs, he hates being treated like a defenseless kid

gushing_granny: he looks up at the master, still hoping to persuade him "but, i mastered that level 5 pyro art, just like you asked me to."

gushing_granny: the masters eyes go wide "YOU WHAT?"

gushing_granny: "I DIDNT ASK YOU TO DO THAT"

gushing_granny: the masters reaction catches dans attention, and he stops eating

gushing_granny: the master leans in close to the boy

gushing_granny: "you are truly a prodigy."

gushing_granny: dan speaks up "a prodigy?!"

gushing_granny: the master ignores him and continues "there are full grown agravians who couldnt even hope to master a level 4 technique, let alone a level 5!"

gushing_granny: he pats the childs head again "well done!"

gushing_granny: the master looks up at the sky, he notices its late

gushing_granny: "oh, well, i guess ill let you train with us just this once tomorrow, for now, you need to get home to your father."

gushing_granny: "b-but"

gushing_granny: "no butts, child."

gushing_granny: dan snickers because he has a terrible sense of humor

gushing_granny: the agravian child pouts

gushing_granny: "fine....."

gushing_granny: he gets up from the table and runs to the door

gushing_granny: "....jerk."

gushing_granny: he runs out of the masters house, and down the road

gushing_granny: "hmph, hes a nice kid, why are you so tough on him?"

gushing_granny: the master turns toward dan with a serious look on his face "because he is the one that will bring this world peace."

gushing_granny: "neat."

gushing_granny: "so, why dont you want me to control my pulse so bad?"

gushing_granny: the master, being caught off guard by dans complete disregard for his previous statement, shakes his head, but responds to dans question, taking a sip of alien beverage as he does so

gushing_granny: "ive already told you, you suck at fighting and you're weak."

gushing_granny: "weak people dont deserve to control energy, unlike the boy you just saw leave this house."

gushing_granny: dan frowns "hmph. dick."

gushing_granny: "im trying my best, why you gotta lash out at me like that?"

gushing_granny: the master shifts his eyes to the ground

gushing_granny: "right....sorry, child."

gushing_granny: "but i must inquire, why do you want to learn how to control energy so badly?"

gushing_granny: "most warriors spend most of their lives honing their physical skills before they even dare to deem themselves worthy of the knowledge.

gushing_granny: "well then, im not like most warriors."

gushing_granny: the master shrugs "ill give you that."

gushing_granny: "also, well....um....it may seem silly..."

gushing_granny: dan gets a bit flustered

gushing_granny: "what is it? speak your mind, young one."

gushing_granny: "its just....controlling energy is hella cool."

gushing_granny: "hella cool?"

gushing_granny: "hella cool."

gushing_granny: "umm....."

gushing_granny: "what time is it?"

gushing_granny: dan looks down at his phone "around 8:00, wh-"

gushing_granny: the master lunges across the table at dan, his fist aimed at his face

gushing_granny: dan smirks

gushing_granny: "im prepared this time, bitch."

gushing_granny: he floods his mind with the memory of him getting stomped by the bully\

gushing_granny: he side steps the masters assault

gushing_granny: he steps back in, a massive swathe of bright blue energy surrounding his arm "DESTRON PUNCH"

gushing_granny: he puts every ounce of his strength into the attack, moving forward violently

gushing_granny: "too slow."

gushing_granny: the master teleports behind him, tripping dan as he steps forward into the attack

gushing_granny: dan falls to the ground with a loud thud, the energy surrounding his arm creating a small hole in the ground

gushing_granny: "well, at least you dodged it this time"

gushing_granny: dan gets up, rubbing his head

gushing_granny: "yeah, baby steps, right?"
