- Metaphysical Standard Hypothesis
- --------------------------------
- The real planes of the Aldiode may be considered a standard of metaphysical objects whereas the complex space of the Aldiode may be considered a standard of a metaphysical reality. But what would be a standard of metaphysical relations?
- Perhaps such a standard can be produced by trying to explain all metaphysics in terms of the waveform model. I've tried reducing extant metaphysics into my research when it was called AMOQ. Many results turned out not to be of lasting value then.
- The waveform model is an ontology of four types:
- Reduction | Deduction
- ----------------|---------------
- Emergence | Induction
- We may refer to domains of this ontology so that:
- |---------------Y---------------|
- | Reduction | Deduction |
- x---------------|---------------X
- | Emergence | Induction |
- |---------------y---------------|
- and, with this template in mind, begin asking questions about the meanings of extant philosophical concepts such as:
- 1 analytical propositions
- 2 synthetic propositions
- 3 a priori truth
- 4 a posteriori truth
- 5 necessary
- 6 contingent
- 7 knowledge by description
- 8 knowledge by acquaintance
- 9 modifying a model to match reality
- 10 modifying reality to match a model
- Y obviously appeal to 5 and 3 (necessary and a priori) and y to 6 and 4 (contingent and a posteriori).
- 1 and 2 (analytical and synthetic propositions) are used to differentiate Deduction (analytical propositions) from everything else.
- 7 refers to X (Deduction and Induction) and 8 refers to x (Reduction and Emergence).
- 9 and 10 are used to differentiate Reduction (10) from everything else (9).
- These interpretations could be used to search for relevant extant research on these subjects.
