Superman animated rambling

So I miss just being confused about what’s going on like in the last jump it’s better than completely understanding what’s going on and being terrified of it.

Yeah so I wound up in bad end Metropolis, my companions and I were former heroes working with the resistance against Lex Luthor and Superman.

Being hunted is never fun. Being hunted by people who can actually hurt you is a lot worse. It seems that Luthor had a lot of experience dealing with Kryptonians before Lois died so his forces were armed with weaponry that could challenge my companions and I.

It was tough to keep the resistance alive. Apparently a few of my old nemeses from my hero days had joined the regime and were quite happy to try and hunt me down.

Superman for his part seemed sad to have to hunt down fellow Kryptonians, he tried to turn us to his side and explain how this was necessary. We tried to talk him out of it and it would almost work but Luthor would have some way of intervening. Our chances to talk grew fewer and fewer…

Then they came. I don’t remember exactly when they came I just remember being caught in a trap and staring up in to a face that was all too familiar one that I stared in to every day in the mirror.

Some extradimensional version of me had appeared with obsession with killing me. My companions managed to save me but we found out she had companions of her own… not entirely the same though. She had her own twisted versions of Yubel and our daughter Racheal with her but she had a female version of Reed Richards with her as well as what looked like a Mortey with an eyepatch who seemed to be responsible for the trap.

My companions quickly clashed with a familiar arrogant ass of a man in gold armor as well as a battle crazed Sekirei with a sword. Behind them I saw the witch of betrayal throwing magic in a magic duel with Tamamo actually resulting in a stalemate. My counterparts companions were apparently equal in strength to my own.

I take no pride in saying we ran from this new enemy, thankfully we got help from an unlikely source the battle had drawn the Regime and they attacked both sides which caused the team evil to attack back.

We fled to recover and regroup.

There wasn’t much time to plan we knew the others would soon attack to keep the pressure up and Luthor’s side wasn’t going to hold them for long. I remember several explosions punctuation that point as Gilgamesh Introduced them to Ea.

Without time to plan any confrontation would turn bad but they weren’t going to give us time so We picked a spot that best suited us being away from populated areas and drew them in to the fight.

We didn’t know exactly what powers they had and hoped that we were in the same boat.

My counterpart and I began the battle using bard song relying upon our companions. I had Noritoed Akitsu with her greatly enhanced ice powers that could freeze cities to try and turn the other group in to a giant Ice cube but Karasuba somehow cut the cold in half with her sword. Seeing they were probably evenly matched I had Arturia try and take  her on

Doom, Richards and Morty clashed in an epic technological battle, Morty seemed to be trying to take both out at once.

Racheal and Yubel fought their counterparts making things as confusing as hell, Ed-E  and Rick took on both Gilgamesh and a cyberdog and were just barely holding their own, and Akitsu and Tamamo teamed up to take down Medea.

Well Arturia couldn’t stand against Karasuba for long but she held on long enough for Akitsu and Tamamo to finish and that turned the battle in her favor. Morty wound up killing Richards who had been his real target only to be killed by doom for taking her chance away to kill Richards.

Ed-E held up valiantly as long as he could but even with rick helping was no match for Gilgamesh. Thankfully Gill took to long to finish and Doom Blasted him and the cyberdog to dust from behind but Ed-E was too damaged to continue to fight.

It was a slow and brutal battle, no one dared interfere with the battle between the Yubel’s and Racheal’s as they were identical.

Eventually those of us still up rushed my counterpart. She fought valiantly and threw several tricks against us actually disabling Arturia and Rick but eventually she fell to an Ice spike through the chest from Akitsu. When she fell, she vanished and her companions vanished with her…

That’s when Luthor’s people surrounded us and we were arrested.

Of course the bastard would wait and pick off the winner… well Supes was there so they didn’t execute us there. Thankfully I was a better escape artist than they expected. After a little rest I managed to slip my bonds and use magic that they didn’t know I had to get us out of there.

We managed to make it to superman and tell him what he had been suspecting all along that this was a bad idea. It took a lot to get through to him. That was when Luthor showed up with the Kryptonite. He figured while it was a big loss he couldn’t have superman changing his alligence at this point. He would make him a martyr.

Luthor also had failed to notice I had an ability to resist Kryptonite better than most Kryptonians. I managed to get the Kryptonite away before I collapsed that gave superman a chance to recover and he grabbed and punched Luthor out. Something he must have been wanting to do for a long time. Afterwards Superman disbanded the Regime. They didn’t trust him but he promised he would dedicate himself to earning their trust again.
