  13. [2014-04-26 20:26:06] * Emerald_Blitz takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly as her wounds begin healing themselves automatically. Upsides of being a monster. The alicorn follows Militus toward the sound of the thumping. "Let us make haste," she says. "We may not have much time left."

  15. [2014-04-26 20:27:02] * Militus nods, taking position at the front of the column.
  16. [2014-04-26 20:28:08] * Clue takes position behind Militus and starts to listen around with her magically enhanced senses. "But we also have to be careful. Can't let the geckos kill us before we get the filly out" She adds.
  17. [2014-04-26 20:29:04] * Emerald_Blitz nods. "Yes. Which is why we go now, get her out, and sort this stable'
  18. [2014-04-26 20:29:13] <Emerald_Blitz> s business later. I'm leery that we haven't seen any clones yet..."
  19. [2014-04-26 20:30:20] * Militus smiles grimly and glances over his shoulder. "How much would you bet they've got an ambush for us? Or worse?"
  20. [2014-04-26 20:30:55] <Emerald_Blitz> "As I said," Emerald repeats. "It is most definitely a trap. Finding out what KIND is the interesting part. Let's move."
  21. [2014-04-26 20:31:17] * Tallie hmmmms. "Maybe the geckos ate them all?" she asks, following the others.
  22. [2014-04-26 20:34:41] <CrystalDM> 03The smell of wood smoke is much stronger on this floor, and more of that dark mold is in patches, all around.
  23. [2014-04-26 20:35:09] * Tallie growls. "Something reeks..."
  24. [2014-04-26 20:35:34] * Emerald_Blitz wrinkles her nose. "I hope they're not trying to set fire to the place," she says. "If they're trying to suffocate that filly..." The alicorn stomps. "Come. Let's go."
  25. [2014-04-26 20:35:40] * Militus glances backwards warily. "None of you feel...odd, do you?"
  26. [2014-04-26 20:36:08] * Emerald_Blitz shakes her head. "Not any worse than I have. Asami, do you see anything out of the ordinary?"
  27. [2014-04-26 20:36:47] * Asami headshakes "uhm...not at the moment no...I'll letcha know if I do
  28. [2014-04-26 20:37:27] * Clue rubs her back leg left with a small pained wince before moving on.
  29. [2014-04-26 20:37:59] * Militus idly scratches at a foreleg. "Let's just get out of here as quickly as we can, then get you all some sun."
  30. [2014-04-26 20:38:42] <Emerald_Blitz> "Corruption?" Emerald asks warily. "Is that was this black mold is?"
  31. [2014-04-26 20:40:02] <Asami> funky...thought that stuff only manifested as crystal
  32. [2014-04-26 20:40:15] * Militus shakes his head. "I haven't heard of such a thing. But corruption is in the air here, and getting heavier."
  33. [2014-04-26 20:41:08] <Emerald_Blitz> "Perhaps they were burning corrupted wood down here, from the Orchards," Emerald says. "Either way, we should stay here as short a time as possible. Lead on."
  34. [2014-04-26 20:41:12] * Militus adds, "Which means we should all be /extra/ careful," with a pointed glare at Clue.
  35. [2014-04-26 20:41:32] <CrystalDM> 03Clue looks away from Militus, not saying anything.
  36. [2014-04-26 20:44:21] * Emerald_Blitz spots more blood up ahead. "Possibly more geckos," she says. "Be ready." He shotgun and bandolier levitate beside her.
  37. [2014-04-26 20:45:03] * Militus draws one of his spears in response.
  38. [2014-04-26 20:45:17] <Asami> say the word and I can torch that black gunk too
  39. [2014-04-26 20:45:40] <Emerald_Blitz> "Would possibly make it worse," Emerald says. "Read, set...!"
  40. [2014-04-26 20:45:46] * Tallie has her revolver out and ready. "I got a baaaaad feeling about this..." she mutters.
  41. [2014-04-26 20:46:35] * Militus bursts through the door into the next room.
  42. [2014-04-26 20:46:54] * Emerald_Blitz rounds the corner with Militus, and sees nothing. "Right," she says. "Continue."
  43. [2014-04-26 20:46:57] <CrystalDM> 03The blood is dried and smeared. Through the door way, in the dim light, the group can see the charred tops of trees. Apple, perhaps? The room is covered in soot.
  44. [2014-04-26 20:47:31] <CrystalDM> 03The sign over the door reads 'Atrium'.
  45. [2014-04-26 20:47:56] <Militus> "Looks like they /were/ burning something."
  46. [2014-04-26 20:48:30] <Asami> suprised they aint all dead from smoke inhalation really
  47. [2014-04-26 20:49:24] <Emerald_Blitz> "Similar design to our friends' stable," she says. "And they've burned the orchard. Barbarians." She continues at their quick pace.
  48. [2014-04-26 20:50:38] * Militus cocks his head slightly. "Trees like these are of some importance to you ponies, yes?"
  49. [2014-04-26 20:51:26] <Emerald_Blitz> "They provide fruit, or once did," she says. "And they were iconically tied to one of the Ministry Mares and her family. But they're nothing sacred."
  50. [2014-04-26 20:52:26] <Asami> and they help prevent scurvy!
  51. [2014-04-26 20:53:48] * Militus pauses a second to peer down at the lower level. "They didn't burn the trees. One side in here was fighting with fire."
  52. [2014-04-26 20:54:47] <Asami> let us not pause here? or anywhere for that matter...there IS a filly in danger and we're burning our candle from both ends right now gang
  53. [2014-04-26 20:55:07] * Emerald_Blitz frowns even deeper. "That's folly, in a Stable. In a sealed environment? We can solve that conundrum later. Asami is right."
  54. [2014-04-26 20:55:17] <CrystalDM> 03The thumping is louder... and nearby.
  55. [2014-04-26 20:56:03] * Militus turns away from the railing and continues on along the upper level catwalk.
  56. [2014-04-26 20:56:47] * Emerald_Blitz finds herself ahead of the group, with her longer legs, and trots impatiently. The thumping is close, but it would be worse if it stopped and was replaced by screams.
  57. [2014-04-26 20:57:40] * Clue 's ears flicker about. "I think they are Northwest of here..."
  58. [2014-04-26 20:59:02] * Clue 's horn coats it's self in crystals as she casts a spell.
  59. [2014-04-26 20:59:55] <Emerald_Blitz> "Then let's make our way there," she says. "We're close!"
  60. [2014-04-26 21:03:08] * Emerald_Blitz looks at Clue. "Northwest or south?" she says.
  61. [2014-04-26 21:04:13] <CrystalDM> 03Emerald Blitz and Asami can see a soot-covered window that would overlook the Orchard.
  62. [2014-04-26 21:04:45] * Clue hums. "I see three enemies. But... I never saw the geckos..." She blinks towards the Northwest. "I'm pretty sure the filly is Northwest... But.. there is something far west... something... not enemy, nor friend..."
  63. [2014-04-26 21:05:03] * Militus stalks towards the next door. "More blood here..."
  64. [2014-04-26 21:05:06] * Emerald_Blitz flies up to the window and buffets away the soot with her wings to look inside. "Is this the Overmare's office?"
  65. [2014-04-26 21:06:00] <Asami> I' unno...maybe?
  66. [2014-04-26 21:06:19] <CrystalDM> 03The soot clears from the window... and the view inside is blocked by some thick metal sheeting.
  67. [2014-04-26 21:06:44] * Emerald_Blitz snorts. "Helpful," she says, and swoops back to join the others.
  68. [2014-04-26 21:07:38] * Clue continues to follow the group. "Ok, lets hurry along... we don't know how long the filly has..."
  69. [2014-04-26 21:07:42] <Emerald_Blitz> "Keep us appraised of the locations of the enemies, Clue," Emerald says. "I don't want to be ambushed, especially with a filly in tow on the return trip."
  70. [2014-04-26 21:08:18] * Tallie looks around. "Well, we should ignore the ones who aren't enemies, and focus on the filly." she says with a nod. "Sounds good to me."
  71. [2014-04-26 21:08:27] * Militus starts back as Emerald_Blitz lands almost on top of him, before he continues into the next room.
  72. [2014-04-26 21:09:30] <Clue> "Good pony directly north. Unknown still to the west..."
  73. [2014-04-26 21:10:40] <CrystalDM> 03The next room is filled with computers and servers. At the back are... well, they look like porcupines? Dead porcupines.
  74. [2014-04-26 21:11:12] * Militus 's eyes narrow as he glances at the seemingly dead creatures.
  75. [2014-04-26 21:12:07] * Emerald_Blitz looks to her left. "I don't like the looks of whatever that is," she says. "But we'll worry about creepy later."
  76. [2014-04-26 21:16:41] <CrystalDM> 03As the group presses forward... first Clue, then Asami and finally, Emerald_Blitz all see... these creatures are just playing dead. As the realization passes over them... the spiny creatures leap to their clawed feet!
  77. [2014-04-26 21:16:51] * Clue stops at the second corridor as something actually catches her eye. "Hey Militus... Em... Take positions at the ends of each corridor please... Militus prepare for something to charge you, Em get your shotgun ready" She takes aim at the 'dead' creature.
  78. [2014-04-26 21:18:25] * Tallie still has her revolver out. "Wait, what's going on, Clue?"
  79. [2014-04-26 21:19:02] <Emerald_Blitz> "They're alive!" Emerald shouts. "Make them stop!"
  80. [2014-04-26 21:19:46] * Militus curses to himself, spinning around as quickly as he can.
  81. [2014-04-26 21:19:52] <Clue> "Tallie! Corridor! Shoot!" She gestures to the one unoccupied on next to her.
  82. [2014-04-26 21:26:48] * Tallie fires twice! "I can't see dick!"
  83. [2014-04-26 21:27:06] <CrystalDM> 03There is a squeal of pain. Whether or not its dead, though... well, only Clue knows.
  84. [2014-04-26 21:33:10] <CrystalDM> 03The two that are in the light throw quills at Asami, Emerald_Blitz, and Clue. Three quills slam into Clue, two into Asami, and one into Emerald Blitz.
  85. [2014-04-26 21:39:43] <CrystalDM> 03As the quills hit, they break. They spray a gunky puss that gets into the cracks and crevices of armor and starts to harden. And it burns.
  86. [2014-04-26 21:43:12] * Militus charges down one of the aisles. Somethng imminently stabbable is nearby!
  87. [2014-04-26 21:45:53] * Militus skewers a...whatever it is.
  88. [2014-04-26 21:46:35] <CrystalDM> 03Well, it looks like a porcupine that's been mutated. And... its a little bloated?
  89. [2014-04-26 21:46:44] <Clue> "No Militus! GAH!" Clue howls in anger. "There was one NEAR YOU!"
  90. [2014-04-26 21:48:02] <Militus> "Oh, well forgive me for not being born with radar sticking out of my head!"
  91. [2014-04-26 21:50:08] <CrystalDM> 03A quill flies over Militus's head, coming from the west. One slams into him... and then there is a high-pitched whine, followed by a steady release of air from a balloon.
  92. [2014-04-26 21:54:01] <Emerald_Blitz> "You light this one up, Asami," Emerald says. "I'll take the one Clue said was over to the west!"
  93. [2014-04-26 21:54:20] * Militus winces as the quill hits him.
  94. [2014-04-26 21:55:32] * Clue rushes infront of Tallie and fires off a round at the odd porcupine thing. "That one's dead Emerald! Just kill that one!"
  95. [2014-04-26 21:55:54] * Asami winces and just floats there immobile...though thankfully dragons don't have to move to still be dangerous as she FWOOMs a fireball down the hallway at the obnoxious quill-creature
  96. [2014-04-26 21:58:20] * Emerald_Blitz nods at the conclusion of carnage. "We're almost there. Anyone need... ugh... medical attention?" she says woozily, and pulls the broken quill from her shoulder.
  97. [2014-04-26 21:58:41] <CrystalDM> 03Well, there was a bloated quill thing. Now its just a ball of flame. Hrm... that might end up catching the servers on fire...
  98. [2014-04-26 21:58:57] * Tallie shakes her head. "I'm still good."
  99. [2014-04-26 21:59:14] * Militus grunts. "Could use an antidote, I think those quills were poisoned."
  100. [2014-04-26 21:59:19] * Emerald_Blitz spots the burning corpse being a hazard and magically drags it away from the computers. There might still be valuable data on there after all.
  101. [2014-04-26 22:00:10] <Emerald_Blitz> "I'm afraid I'm fresh out," Emerald says. "It seems... a mild enough hemotoxin." The alicorn begins pulling sticky quills out of Asami too. "Goodness, this is a mess."
  102. [2014-04-26 22:00:59] <CrystalDM> 03As the poison is handled by the immune systems of those effected, the sticky goo does not dissolve from the armor.
  103. [2014-04-26 22:01:05] <Asami> oww those things hurt!..what the heck are those things? floating puffballs of evil?
  104. [2014-04-26 22:01:57] * Emerald_Blitz lets loose a flash of green light and her Clean spell attacks the goop on Asami's armor. "Porcupines, I shouldn't wonder," she says. "Though mutated so they actually CAN throw quills. What an awful sense of humor..."
  105. [2014-04-26 22:02:46] <Militus> "My armor could use a cleaning too. This gunk makes it hard to move around."
  106. [2014-04-26 22:03:17] <Asami> I need medical attention? I'm not feeling so hot right now
  107. [2014-04-26 22:03:52] <Emerald_Blitz> "The spell works fine," she says, casting it on Militus as well. "Let's get going. I'm... very worried about the filly." The spiky green light peels the goo from the chinks in Militus's armor while Emerald feeds Asami a potion. "I'm afraid this will have to do for now, Asami; time is of the essence."
  108. [2014-04-26 22:04:35] * Militus continues on ahead after his armor is cleaned.
  109. [2014-04-26 22:06:00] <Emerald_Blitz> "Everyone else all right?" Emerald asks as she follows Militus.
  110. [2014-04-26 22:06:03] * Tallie looks herself over. "I'm all good. I think." She reloads her revolver. "Now, lets get that filly."
  111. [2014-04-26 22:08:15] * Emerald_Blitz carries the burning porcupine ahead of the group like a stinky rodent torch, providing surprisingly good light. Perhaps their poison was flammable...
  112. [2014-04-26 22:09:15] <CrystalDM> 03The Stable is... quiet, other than the constant thumping... and than the crackling of rodent.
  113. [2014-04-26 22:12:00] <Emerald_Blitz> "ANother door!" Emerald says, and rushes in behind Militus.
  114. [2014-04-26 22:12:45] * Militus steps through the door alongside the "torch".
  115. [2014-04-26 22:13:15] <CrystalDM> 03Everyone can hear a slight groan of pain. Tallie, Militus and Asami can tell its feminine.
  116. [2014-04-26 22:13:39] * Tallie "Wuh-oh..." she says. "That's... not good. Lets go!"
  117. [2014-04-26 22:13:45] * Clue scoffs. "This place smells of burnt wood and death. How repulsive." She also flicks her hair. "There seems to something in the room over Emerald_Blitz and gang. By the way, why are we here?"
  118. [2014-04-26 22:14:23] * Militus takes another step into the room, still wielding his spear. "Hello? Who's there?"
  119. [2014-04-26 22:15:08] * Emerald_Blitz puts the burning animal down away from the rugs. "Hello? Quantum?" she says. "Are you in here?"
  120. [2014-04-26 22:15:46] * Emerald_Blitz spots a pony lying on the ground in the light of the burning rodent. "Oh... oh no..." she says as she rushes over.
  121. [2014-04-26 22:15:49] <CrystalDM> 03Those who enter the room can see a purple mare with an orange mane. She is on the ground, a small pool of blood under her. She has a monolith spike through her leg.

  123. [2014-04-26 22:16:35] <Asami> wow this room reeks...gyahhh...Clue how close are we to the Filly?
  124. [2014-04-26 22:16:51] <CrystalDM> 03She is wearing a Stable 42 jump suit and has a pipbuck on her left foreleg.
  125. [2014-04-26 22:17:53] * Clue gasps. "A mare in trouble! We should help her!" She turns to Asami. "Clue is around here somewhere? The poor dear, Feather Fall said she was of a timid nature why would she be here?"
  126. [2014-04-26 22:18:40] * Clue takes a few steps towards the mare and lets out a few pained grunts. "Ow, ow, ow" She grabs at her back leg in pain and backs out of the room.
  127. [2014-04-26 22:18:41] * Tallie looks at Emerald_Blitz. "We have to amputate her leg, won't we?"
  128. [2014-04-26 22:19:09] * Asami stares at Clue for a moment before facepawing...."uhm...we have another problem Emmy when yer done working on the stablemare here?

[2014-04-26 22:30:10] * Emerald_Blitz kneels down next to the dying mare and casts Clean, then swiftly begins work at extracting her leg from the monolith, hurrying because there's not a moment to spare. "I know, I noticed, and yes. I can't spare the time to be gentle. Miss Rarity, kindly look away. There's about to be some field triage," Emerald says, getting out her scalpel, her shotgun with tazer rounds, and a stack of...
  131. [2014-04-26 22:30:11] * Emerald_Blitz ...bandages. "Tallie, get me the contents of that medkit. NOW."
  132. [2014-04-26 22:30:47] <Asami> is there anything I can do?
  133. [2014-04-26 22:31:06] * Tallie nods and zips over to the medkit, grabbing everythin inside, then returning to Emerald_Blitz.
  134. [2014-04-26 22:32:33] * Asami waddles over to the rummaged chesterdrawers and has a looksee to see why it was rifled through
  135. [2014-04-26 22:32:53] * Emerald_Blitz shucks her leather coat and tucks a rolled up edge of it into the mare's mouth, and drags the PipBuck over to look at its medical display. She also takes the contents of the medkit, looking for the proper medicines.
  136. [2014-04-26 22:33:24] * Militus idly sifts through a desk, not being medically inclined.
  137. [2014-04-26 22:34:29] <Clue> "You can't possibly be serious! Cutting off a mares leg!?" She says with a wince and a pained expression.
  138. [2014-04-26 22:36:11] <CrystalDM> 03From the hall, Clue can the claw of a Whisper Gecko.
  139. [2014-04-26 22:36:25] * Militus doesn't even look up. "She very likely is talking about just that."
  140. [2014-04-26 22:36:29] <Tallie> "She probably has to!" she shouts as she runs towards Emerald_Blitz, giving her the medical bag's contents. "That stuff won't be healthy if it stays in her, and its too dangerous to keep it in her. think."

  142. [2014-04-26 22:36:35] <Emerald_Blitz> "Miss Rarity, I am a doctor and you are not. Kindly do not question my judgement or I will critique your fashion choices," Emerald snaps. She immediately injects the mare with Marathon to stabilize her heart rate, and another injection of painkillers right at the foreleg... then begins to sever the mare's leg where it looks most saveable, and where the doctors in 42 will be able to easiest...

  144. [2014-04-26 22:39:11] * Clue gasps. "My fashion is unmatched my dear!" She says before she looks to the leg, and turns green. "GAH!" She turns around and shakes her head. A few deep breaths and Clue raises an eyebrow towards the hallway readying her saddle.
  145. [2014-04-26 22:48:45] * Tallie grabs Bloomper off her back and grins. "I got this." She moves to a better position and *Foonk! Chk-chk! Foonk!* *BoomBOOOOOM!* "KABOOM, BITCHEEEEEEEEEEES!!"
  146. [2014-04-26 22:49:12] <CrystalDM> 03Chunks of gecko fly EVERYWHERE.
  147. [2014-04-26 22:50:54] * Militus moves in front of the door, spear at the ready.
  148. [2014-04-26 22:58:29] * Emerald_Blitz continues her surgery, seperating the corrupted tissues from the healthy. The SHHHK of the bonesaw cutting above the knee is unpleasant in the momentary stillness after Tallie's grenade explosion. "I can handle this," Emerald says. "The rest of you, go find the filly before it's too late!"
  149. [2014-04-26 22:59:21] <CrystalDM> 03Emerald makes good progress on the amputation. At the rate she's going, she should be through before not too long.
  150. [2014-04-26 23:00:50] <Asami> uhm...Emeral I'll have your back..I don't like leaving you here solo
  151. [2014-04-26 23:01:22] * Asami moves to stand in the passageway next to the corpse
  152. [2014-04-26 23:01:32] <Emerald_Blitz> "I have a shotgun that can splatter just about anything, and I don't want to explain to this mare that she's lost both a leg and a daughter." She pushes Asami forward with telekinesis.
  153. [2014-04-26 23:02:35] * Clue gasps. "There is a filly in all this mess!? That must be the green!"
  154. [2014-04-26 23:03:41] <Emerald_Blitz> "Then stay with our fighters and go get her," Emerald says. "I have this patient under control; the filly still needs your help."
  155. [2014-04-26 23:03:44] * Militus sighs and rubs his head. "Yes, there is in fact a filly involved. It is most unfortunate."
  156. [2014-04-26 23:09:13] * Clue jumps out into the hallway and raises an eyebrow to a gecko. "Ah! A new pair of boots!~" She aims and bites down on her saddle trigger.
  157. [2014-04-26 23:20:32] <CrystalDM> 03Three more geckos come charging out of the darkness at the only target they can see... Clue. The first one flies over the smaller unicorn, and there is the vibration from the end of the hall. The second one slams into the unicorn, throwing her back and then leaps on her, pinning her to the ground. The last gecko runs up to her and slashes and bites the unicorn, spraying blood everywhere.

  159. [2014-04-26 23:22:20] * Tallie blinks. "Woaholy shit!" she shouts. She switches to her revolver and moves to a better position, before firing twice.
  160. [2014-04-26 23:24:46] * Emerald_Blitz clamps arteries, cuts a flap of skin free, folds it over and staples it on with the sterile staples from her doctor's kit. It's going to need replenished after this...

  165. [2014-04-26 23:31:52] * Asami jogs up through the doorway to the fallen Clue and whips out a feintly glowing potion bottle....pouring the glowing contents down her gaping muzzle and throat "Damnit Clue I hope this works!
  166. [2014-04-26 23:34:31] <CrystalDM> 03The healing potion glows in a mixture of bright pinks and yellows as it applies, and a feeling of peace and gentleness comes from it.

  171. [2014-04-26 23:41:58] * Emerald_Blitz bandages the stump and seals the edges with medical glue, then, gingerly feeds the unconscious mare a healing potion. "Good, send her in here. Clue, sweetheart, come here, I'll patch you right up."

  179. [2014-04-26 23:44:58] * Emerald_Blitz takes the covers from the bed with her magic and wraps the mare in them like a cocoon. "Let's save that filly," she says. "But first, drink this." She crams a potion bottle into Clue's mouth.
  180. [2014-04-26 23:45:30] * Clue blinks. "Okay that REALLY hurt. But that was in just a single place not all over my bod-ACH" She drinks the potion.
  181. [2014-04-26 23:46:17] * Militus shakes his head. "In any case, perhaps we should go back to having me in front?"
  182. [2014-04-26 23:46:54] * Clue raises an eyebrow. "What is this about being in front?..."

"This mare is in bad shape still, so I suggest we hurry just as much for her sake as her daughter's." The alicorn looks at Clue. "You had another Rarity episode and dashed out in front to poach geckos for leather boots."

  188. [2014-04-26 23:49:17] <Emerald_Blitz> "He was. Then you ran right by him," Emerald says. "I really do need to look into a cure for that condition of yours... nice manestyles notwithstanding."
  189. [2014-04-26 23:50:00] * Clue shakes her head. "Shouldn't you always be in front? I mean, you probably should of been out there before.... me?... Rarity?..." She shakes her head.
  190. [2014-04-26 23:50:29] <Emerald_Blitz> "He couldn't stop you," Emerald says. "Stop trying to make it his fault, Clue. You had an episode and we had to deal with it, that's all."
  191. [2014-04-26 23:50:46] * Militus rolls his eyes. "Yes, because using the door as a ready made chokepoint for an ambush was obviously a silly idea."

  193. [2014-04-26 23:51:52] * Emerald_Blitz checks the wounded mare's Pipbuck again, looking for perhaps a tag for where her daughter is.

  195. [2014-04-26 23:52:00] * Clue hmms. "That is a good idea. Had you not discussed this with m-Rari-" She looks to Emerald_Blitz and closes her mouth as her ears droop. "...nevermind..."
  196. [2014-04-26 23:52:59] <Emerald_Blitz> "We had discussed this before, but with you, not your fashionista alter ego," Emerald says kindly. "She seems to pop up and the most inopportune moments, and it's not your fault either."

He holds a pipe spear in his tail, and is wearing Stable-Tec Security Armor. His coat is patchy, covered in lizard-like scales. His pupils are slits, and they reflect the light, much like a cats would. He smiles, his teeth like fangs. "More... for my queen..."
