The force of the spear impacting the unbreakable shield creates a shockwave that causes the entire building to tremble and knocks you backwards against a wall, you don't smash through the brick wall, but you do impact it pretty hard. You didn't have the time to make it so the shield would block physical force being carried through the strike. "Not bad, kid. I was sure that was going to kill you." Lancer shrugs, no friendliness in his voice, just a clear longing for battle.
