Sunny and Kim

Sunny was captivated. Blown away. Utterly entranced.

Not by the girl next to him, of course. No, what captured his intention was a singular, gelatinous jellyfish, floating serenely in his tank. Sunny let out a soft gasp of awe as it drifted across the chlorinated water, entirely unaware of everything except the creature.

Kim gave him an odd look. "Geez, you really love that thing, huh?"

Sunny blinks, snapped out of his reverie. With unexpected passion, he turns around and begins to speak, moving his hands fluidly. "It's an amazing creature, Kim! Just look at it! There's nothing inside! How does it work!"

Kim lets out an amused laugh. "Why would I know, you dork? It's nice to see you so excited about something for once, though."

"Yeah, well," Sunny says, returning to stare at the tank, "This is my reward for taking you to that monster truck rally the other night."

Kim gasps with feigned shock. "Sunny! I thought you loved monster trucks!" Sunny shrugs. "I like them. Just not as much as fish."

Kim lets out a soft giggle, and Sunny is briefly distracted from his jellyfish by the melodious ring of it. "Come on, nerd. Let's go see the hammerheads."
