  10. [13:51] <Sakata_Ginko> Ginko passed out on the couch five minutes after she came back last night. She didn't bother changing out of her blood-stained, syrup-soaked uniforms, which had a filthy sort of sheen on it and was then completely stuck to the couch's fabrics.

  13. [13:55] <Sakata_Ginko> Ginko was sleeping too soundly, even snoring slightly. The doorbell didn't wake her in the least.
  14. [13:56] <Midorikawa_Misao> "Coming!" The Ginko that was not Ginko rushed to the door, and opened it.
  15. [13:58] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "Good morning," Akiko greeted as she let herself in. Her nervousness from last night was gone, and--"Wait a second, what happened? Is she alright?" She exclaimed in surprise as she spotted the bloody-looking Ginko on the couch.
  16. [14:01] <Midorikawa_Misao> "Uh... I think she is?" Misao shrugs.
  17. [14:03] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "...You 'think'? How was she last night when she came home?"
  18. [14:05] <MidorikawaMisao> "Onee-san just... conked out a little bit after she got back."
  19. 06[14:06] * Yuna_Mizuno nods, "I worry about her... What exactly is she doing where she comes back looking like this?"
  20. [14:09] <Sakata_Ginko> The phone in Ginko's pocket buzzed. It was as if the buzz were a jolt of lightning, zapping Ginko wide awake. She tried to reach for the phone, but she found her arms glued to herself. Struggling to set herself free, she pleaded: "Uh, someone help... I need to answer that..."
  21. [14:11] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "..." Her train of thought interrupted by the mini comedy show Ginko was putting on, Akiko sighed, and walked over to turn on the phone for Ginko. "After this, take a bath, then we'd like an explanation."
  22. [14:12] <Sakata_Ginko> "Yeah, yeah," Ginko finally managed to free one arm. She snatched the phone, and all of a sudden her mannerisms turned a lot crasser than usual: "You better have good news for me..."
  23. [14:16] <Shirayuki_Akiko> Akiko started putting together a simple breakfast in the meantime.
  24. [14:18] <Sakata_Ginko> "Yeah. Cool. Don't worry, I ain't gonna give you no trouble. Mmhmm." Ginko freed herself while on the phone and started drawing a bath. "Yeah. Thanks. Keep yer boys clear of that area unless they wanna run into me. Cool..."
  25. [14:19] <MidorikawaMisao> "Hrm... Yunie, I've got an idea."
  26. 06[14:19] * Yuna_Mizuno looks over at Misao. "Hmmm?"
  27. [14:20] <MidorikawaMisao> "With our magic, we can do super-mega-ultra awesome stuff, right?"
  28. 06[14:23] * Yuna_Mizuno nods, "yeah... what about it?"
  29. [14:27] <Midorikawa_Misao> "If I can use my magic..." Misao transforms, holding an ember in her hands. "Maybe we can wipe out those youma thingies with one strike."

"As much as I want to do that, remember what that other girl said..." she replied, referencing the monochrome girl they had met in their previous youma fight. "Overuse of Magic can lead to negative side effects... Case in point..." her sentence trails off as she places a hand on Misao's shoulder

Under normal circumstances she wouldn't think Ginko would do something like that, but...if there was alcohol, then it might be possible. Better to make sure.

[15:55] <SnowMobile> And sure enough, the TV was reporting something Ginko didn't want to hear: "we have reports of gang-related violence in which more than twenty members of the local yakuza were killed or seriously injured. Police said that the injuries appear to be caused by blunt trauma... "

  73. 01[15:57] <GeMshuku> Apparently, they're taking a break from reports of ~mysterious deaths~. Really, all those mysterious deaths mean there's less news to report since there's less people to report about in there, and they really do seem to be avoiding the topic of mysterious deaths. Less mysterious deaths? They're all over that.
  74. [15:58] <MidorikawaMisao> "Whoaaaa, that's no good," Misao shakes her head. "What got into 'em?"
  75. [15:59] <SnowMobile> Of course the news anchor then went on to pin the incident in the area Ginko was last night, and said that it seems to be caused by one person. Ginko pretended that it didn't interest her in the least.
  76. [16:01] <MidorikawaMisao> "Holy whoa, just one person!?" The other Ginko's jaw dropped. "I wouldn't wanna to fight 'em, even with all four of us!"
  77. [16:03] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "...." Wordlessly, Akiko practically stormed out the door, transformed, and flew off. She had to ask them. She had to know if-if Ginko was responsible.
  78. [16:04] <SnowMobile> Ginko didn't try to stop her. For one, she was too fast. For another... She didn't want to think about the consequences.
  79. 06[16:05] * Yuna_Mizuno watches as Akiko storms out of the apartment... "What's gotten into her?"
  80. [16:06] <MidorikawaMisao> "Huh? Why'd Akiko-sama leave?" Misao tilts her head in curiosity, then resumes finishing her breakfast.
  81. [16:08] <SnowMobile> Ginko finished hers as well. "I'm going out in a bit," she said, not in the least bit looking forward to being in the same room as Akiko.
  82. [16:10] <SnowMobile> She packed the things she'll need for a few days plus cash into a knapsack, and walked to the door.

  84. [16:13] <MidorikawaMisao> "Onee-san, wait!" Misao scrambles out of her seat, trying to get to her senpai before they ran away. "Where are you going?"
  85. [16:14] <SnowMobile> "Oh, just a job I need to do," Ginko feigned a smile. "I'll be back before you know it."
  86. 06[16:14] * Yuna_Mizuno frowns at her. "Somehow I don't believe you..."
  87. [16:16] <MidorikawaMisao> "Huh?" Misao faces back to Yuna. "What do you mean?"
  88. [16:17] <SnowMobile> "look at me," Ginko gave them a big grin. "Do I look like I'm lying? Anyway, I am gonna be late..."
  89. [16:21] <MidorikawaMisao> "Onee-san..." Misao hesitates for a moment, before hugging Ginko. "Be safe, and come back in time for dinner, okay?"
  90. [16:23] <SnowMobile> "Yeah," Ginko returned the hug, perhaps with a little more eb
  91. [16:23] <SnowMobile> Enthusiasm than usual, then she opened the door...
  92. [16:28] <Shirayuki_Akiko> Akiko was standing right on the other side, fists balled and eyes fixed on the floor, deep in thought. She started at the sound of the door being opened. "Senpai," was all she could utter, in a normal voice in stark contrast to her pained, frustrated expression and the cold fury she was radiating. It was not unlike slowly realizing that a storm was forming right around you, with you standing at its dead center.

  95. [16:33] <Shirayuki_Akiko> There was so many things Akiko could do right now. She could start shouting, or run away, or slap Ginko squarely in the face, or even step aside to let Ginko leave and forget she was ever part of her life. However, none of these things seemed very smart, which was why Akiko hesistated on opening the door while she tried to figure out what to do. ...For now, she tried stalling. "....Let's talk. Pick a room with a lock, senpai."
  96. [16:34] <SnowMobile> "... Yeah, let's do that," Ginko put down her knapsack and led Akiko to her sensei's room, locking the door behind the two of them.

  109. 06[16:57] * Yuna_Mizuno could hear the ripping from outside the room. "What do you think is going on in there?" she says, holding onto Misao's arm...
  110. [17:00] <SnowMobile> "I did what I must. For what it's worth, I'm sorry I lied to you, but I am not going to atone for anything I've done," she continued, transforming with a puff of smoke into the shape of a murderer. "If you are going to kill me for it, then come."

Akiko slammed her scepter onto the floor, and with a massive surge of magic, and immediately, a guillotine appeared in the middle of the room, as tall as the ceiling. Akiko faltered a little after the attempt, but forced herself to stand firm. "...Alright. Then I will give you one last chance to try to convince me to not end you, right here and right now."
  112. [17:11] <SnowMobile> "I wanted to find them." Ginko sat under the giant contraption, her face calm and serene. "I needed information. This was a condition my contact put on it."

  114. [17:12] <MidorikawaMisao> "Iunno, Yuna-chan," Misao looked to the room where Akiko and Gink were, and back to Yuna. "But... something's happening."
  115. [17:13] <SnowMobile> "Nothing unusual, but it was the first time I used what I got for something other than killing youma. I guess I overdid it a little. But I needed that info," she continued, smiling bitterly as she glanced at the photo on the night stand. "If she were still alive, she'd be as pissed as you are, maybe more. But she isn't any more."
  116. 06[17:20] * Yuna_Mizuno clings tighter... She could sense that some magic had just been used... She was unable to tell who it was, though...
  117. [17:22] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "...I see." For one personal issue, she slew over twenty. Sure, that could be called a good reason by some. However, one fact didn't change. Someone who would sacrifice twenty lives for revenge, and had the power to do so. That kind of person was a threat.

"Champion of justice, protector of the innocent. They sound nice in theory, but the real world doesn't work that way. If you would take mine for it, then so be it, but not before I have had my revenge. I don't want to fight you if I don't have to."
  120. [17:35] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "--You, cannot be allowed to be a magical girl!" Akiko shouted at, denied, and rejected with all her heart, and flung her outstretched arm downward, and with it, the guillotine's deadly blade.

  122. 06[17:36] * Yuna_Mizuno hears Akiko suddenly burst out. "M-misao..." she clings to the other magical girl's arm tightly, finding comfort in it even if it wasn't Misao's body...
  123. [17:40] <MidorikawaMisao> "... Yuna-chan, I think we oughta see what's happenin'," Misao walks closer to the doorway.
  124. [17:40] <SnowMobile> Ginko expected this, really. The draw of her sword not only stopped the blade, but also shattered it, sending metal fragments everywhere.
  125. 01[17:41] <GeMshuku> A few of the fragments embed themselves into the door. They don't go all the way through, but you can see them from the other side, just poking out!
  126. [17:42] <SnowMobile> "Well, that's that, then," Ginko stood up. "you mind taking it to the streets? I don't want to wreck the apartment."
  127. 06[17:43] * Yuna_Mizuno grabs ahold of Misao's hand, holding her back, "I'm actually scared of what's going on in there..." Turns out that few second delay was all that was needed to save them from being turned into a pincushion for several shards of metal... Turns out she was scared for a good reason...

  129. [17:46] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "Shut up!" Somebody shouted, a completely unfamiliar sound that Akiko had never heard before. Unable to think, she charged forward, and viciously lunged the pointy end of her scepter towards the other girl!
  130. [17:47] <MidorikawaMisao> "Whoaaa, that's a safety hazard!" Misao looks at the holy door in horror, before transforming and opening the door. "Hey, wha-"
  131. 06[17:52] * Yuna_Mizuno instinctively transforms as Misao opens the door...
  132. [17:53] <SnowMobile> Ginko saw that coming. Her costume glowed for a moment, and the sharp tip of the scepter stopped just shy of her stomach.
  133. [17:53] <SnowMobile> But it still drew blood!
  134. [17:56] <MidorikawaMisao> "Onee-san? Akiko-sama?" Misao looked back and forth at the two. "Why are you two fighting?"
  135. [17:56] <SnowMobile> "That hurts, you know," Ginko saw the door open and smiled, laying her hand on the scepter. "Can we please take this outside?"
  136. [18:01] <SnowMobile> She attempted to grab rhe scepter and drag Akiko outside. Having dailed that somehow through a miserable Random Number Goddess' intervention, she instead jumped through the window out to the streets.
  137. [18:04] <Shirayuki_Akiko> "...." Suddenly listless, Akiko sluggishly followed, not even bothering with the landing and instead simply let herself crash into the pavement. Slowly, he picked herself up.

  139. [18:05] <Shirayuki_Akiko> She weakly raised her scepter, and muttered, "...Warspite."

[18:14] <Shirayuki_Akiko> The sound of parting waves echoed down through the streets as out of thin air, a massive, 30-meter tall steel behemoth started to emerge out of thin air, easily three times as large as any previous versions that Misao, Ginko and Yuna had ever witnessed. More and more of the battleship shimmered into existence, her hull seemingly stretching on forever, until Akiko's scepter shattered with a sharp crack. The war ship melted as if
  143. [18:14] <Shirayuki_Akiko> it was merely an illusion all along, and Akiko collapsed onto the asphalt, her magical girl outfit fading into nothing to be replaced by her normal one.
  144. [18:17] <SnowMobile> Ginko was left with no words. Akiko really wanted to kill her. Her own transformation collapsed as well, and she walked towards the girl on the ground.

  146. 01[18:21] <GeMshuku> In the wake of the failed summon...the temperature begins to drop, very, very sharply. And with the presence of cold comes the presence of...the most magical feeling in the air. As in, you're not entirely sure how, but it FEELS like magic around here. The scene before Misao and Yuna might be unnerving to them, but this other feeling makes it that much more worse to them. Was magic the source of their problems? ...Perhaps. But, in what fashion?
  147. 06[18:25] * Yuna_Mizuno shivers, wrapping her arms around herself... She was seriously regretting having a sleeveless costume now...

  149. [18:29] <SnowMobile> The cold made Ginko involuntarily shudder bit that wasn't close to the thing she has on her mind right now. She stood in front of Akiko, staring down at her: "You want me dead that much, huh. Can't say I blame you."
  150. [18:33] <MidorikawaMisao> "Onee-san, what happened? Why were you two fighting?"

Instinctively, she transformed, and slammed her scepter into the ground before, intent to quell the dreadful flame before her. However, while a small splash of water did come, there was no scepter to slam, so her right hand simply slapped the ground in a rather silly manner.
