  2.
  3. Name: Terhune
  4.
  5. Date of Birth: 1748
  6. Roleplay Level: 145
  7. Allegiances: Signe.
  8. Magic: Armed, Air, Sound, and planned for lightening.
  9.
  10. History:
  11. Born in the year 1758 within the Sudsbury hospital founded by the Salis and Pellaux families. His early years where spent being cared for by his parents and grandparents. At the time the Triumvirate had only recently ratified the constitution and things where for the first time in the past few decades relatively peaceful and prosperous. In that atmosphere Terhune was raised to appreciate the rights of the republic.
  12.
  13. His grandparents told him stories of time under the old petrakis kings, grand tales of glory and honor. A golden age stewarded by the blessed blood of ancient Astya. His grandmother in particular told him of the dangers of demons and witches, mentioning how she'd been alive during the old war with the Elaide coven. His parents told him more valuable lessons, his father a devout man sought to instill a respect for the stars and the faith of his ancestors. His mother told him of the Terraphim, how they'd lied to and betrayed the Kingdom, killing so many within the city after they'd conquered it. His older brother was a decorated member of the Vigilant, a role model for the young boy. Teaching him of the honor one gained from serving the republic and honing their martial skills.
  14.
  15. With the dissolution of the Triumvirate Terhune lost most of his family, his grandparents put to the blade for their continued loyalty to the Petrakis line, his brother and father executed for fighting to resist the Republics fall, by the age of eight his mother had died of grief. Wasting away under the harsh rule of the Authority. Cast into the streets and without any sort of true guidance, Terhune learned to survive working as a rat-catcher for the Captain of Sudsbury.
  16.
  17. It was in the ongoing years that he learned to fear others, learned to survive, learned to hide. In the harsh wake of his families deaths he was hammered into place, into the cracks of a great machine. Not as a cog, but as the grease meant to lubricate them. He was nine when the Machine was activated in Osrona. Watched in fear from the gutters of Sudsbury as the blackhat'd soldiers of Barsburg clashed briefly with the blackhat'd soldiers of the Authority. Yet, it was a brief tension, merely the hiss and sparks of gears beginning to churn. The stage was set for the young Terhune, would he be ground to grease or become a cog?
  18.
  19. Milestones:
  20.
  21. Year 1759 - Just the Grease (https://pastebin.com/UNwr9G07)
  22. The first defining moment of Terhune's life after the Machine's activation was his request to become a cog within it. He was lost in life and unsure what to do. Directionless and fearful he sought to join the only thing that looked to exemplify what Osrona was. He sought to join the military. In a strange turn of events the Machine deemed him unfit to serve, suggesting he join as a supplier with the R&D division, that is if he had the education to do so. In a few more years he might have been conscripted regardless but to be publicly deemed unfit cracked the foundations of the youth's confidence and sent him out into the wilds in embarrassment.
  23.
  24. Year 1759 - Processed by the Void (https://pastebin.com/q16RLATv)
  25. It would be the shame of being rejected by the Machine that Terhune would find himself wandering into Myllenoris to sell his ores. However, it was only after he'd arrived that he realized the city was being destroyed. A great Beholder floated above the city, the myriad evil eyes peering down and judging that which is saw. In those moments he was faced with a fight for his life but what happened was far worse than death. For he was deemed interesting by the Void.
  26.
  27. Name: "Void's Scratches - UNHEALABLE"
  28. Desc: The Void has processed Terhune. His skin is marred by glowing green gashes, all throughout. They don't bleed, and don't seem to actually hurt... but they do inspire an uncomfortable, crushing paranoia. Sorry, kid.
  29.
  30. Year 1760 - Befriending Willow (https://pastebin.com/2YjFafjy)
  31. Into the woods the Chosen of the Void went, hiding from civilization and others as he sought to find some peace from the horrible sense of being watched. Yet, even with the wild his fear ran fierce and his mind deluded him with visions of those grotesque eyes and that haunting feeling of being watched. Yet, within those same woods he came across a spirit. One who helped to calm his fears and for a short while was his friend. During their interactions the young Terhune would gift the spirit a name because it had none. Perhaps the Void had made a good choice?
  32.
  33. Year 1760 - A Knight's Squire parts I (https://pastebin.com/SjditXVF) & II (https://pastebin.com/EGVMzYnE)
  34. The months following his meeting with Willow where tense for the young boy. Still haunted by the visions and paranoia of the void he came across a duo guarding Starfall bridge. During a conversation with them he sought out the knowledge of Anthonio, the mage who'd summoned the Beholder. Yet, in an act to prevent Barsburg from gaining more soldiers the Knight, Signe Daman, offered Terhune training and guidance. So long as he would move to Myllenoris. He accepted gaining a master.
  35.
  36. Once they arrived back within Myllenoris sometime later. Terhune eagerly requested to be trained. It was during this training that the skills of the young boy as well as his dedication for improvement impressed the older Knight. Shifting their opinion of him from just another youth robbed of the Machine's army to someone worth caring about. During the training the woman spoke words that Terhune would remember for as long as he lived. "Your determination, your drive, both are admirable. I cannot see what Barsburg thought was unfit for service, as I rarely see such a drive to improve and succeed." - Signe Daman.
  37.
  38. Plans:
  39. >Master the Lessons of Signe and make them proud.
  40. >Seek out Anthonio and learn of what he summoned.
  41. >Unknowingly Entertain the Void.
  42. >Tap into the Element of Lightening. (Trying to get an event for it.)
  43.
  44. Longer term goals are subject to change based on development.
  45. >Become a Thunder King (yes the hidden)
  46. >Potentially be chosen by the Void (Except not by being evil just interesting to watch maybe?)
  47. >Super stretch is free Osrona from Barsburg.
