In my time serving alongside the Green Banner, I have been repeatedly impressed by the quality of its leaders. Of course, this respect is often tempered by the reality of their flaws. I shall endeavor to account for both in equal measure in my assessment of those often serving on field operations with the Green Banner.

Yan Bao-Yu, Imperial Agent Second rank: Crane- Bao-Yu is an exemplary Agent, doing credit to her family as well as her War College. She is a talented and dedicated hunter of the enemies of the State Empire. Of course, she often has a tendency to forge my own signature when seeking my approval of her actions would take time she cannot or doesn't want to spare. While she has the capability of command, she often eschews it in favor of her personal hunts.

Morita Matsui, Domaru Butai: Matsui is another excellent specimen, demonstrating true loyalty to her lords that I wish I could beat into the rest of her countrymen. She is unflappable under pressure and accedes easily to commands by her betters.

Wu Delun, Hac Tao Commando: My second son, Delun demonstrates an aggression and aptitude for command second only to my own. He also takes command when he deems it necessary, an admirable trait. This combined with his commando training in the Hac Tao corps has combined to make him truly formidable in a way his elder brother has not quite reached. The enemies of the State Empire should be wary when he is their enemy.

Qian Jie, Celestial Guardswoman: An advisor from the ranks of the Celestial Guard, Jie knows her craft, but often lacks the initiative necessary of an advisor. While I can appreciate respect for the Chain of Command, having to micromanage her efforts takes more of my valuable time than I would normally like. She does keep the Nipponese rabble in line, though, which earns my respect.

Other Notable Individuals:
Penal Battalion Designation 0-000001, aka "One"
One is ever-present in the banner. Despite his status as a criminal denied a name, he's developed something of a reputation in the banner for luck, owing both to his serial number (assigned due to a clerical error, one of those rare serial numbers assigned more than once) and his ability to survive even grievous injury with limited medical attention (only after all of the real soldiers are treated and the doctors rested, of course). He is reliable and uncomplaining, which is far more than I or anyone else expects out of penal troopers.
