  1. 1. Make sure you have LG Mirror Drive v1.2.1.2 installed – no other version will work. Prevent updates in Google Play, installed apps.
  2. 2. Uninstall Samsung car mode if you have it
  3. 2. LG Mirror needs to start each time from a completely fresh state, so go to settings/apps/LG MirrorDrive and clear all data AND force stop. This needs to be done every time you plug in your phone.
  4. 3. To improve the look of your phone’s home screen on the head unit, go to home screen settings and untick portrait mode only. This only needs doing once
  5. 4. Close any running apps
  6. 5. Open Full Mirror to see the three icons as per instructions
  7. 6. On the head unit make sure the connection will be via Mirror Link NOT Android Auto
  8. 7. Plug in phone
  9. 8. Tap LG MirrorLink on head unit and the phone’s home screen will immediately appear together with the three Full Mirror icons and an LG error message at the bottom. The icons and error message disappear after a few seconds.
  10. 9. Now you can use the head unit in exactly the same way as you would use your phone, except to return or exit an application back to home screen DON’T use the Launcher icon, only the Recent Apps icon. In fact I place the Launcher and keyboard icons to the side and never use them.
  11. 10. If you mistakenly return to Mirror Link home page you’ll need to unplug the phone and start again from
