Entry 5: Banshees

-Basterdized Daughters of Sunhook, Queen of the Skies.
- Female Only Species, must breed with human males. (Male Banshees are born but they are infertile.)
-Nomadic, Militant, and Dangerous.

	Sunhook, the hawk whose wings could cover the world looked upon the surface of the world one day and found a man that took her fancy. She came down upon the man, took the form of a human female and seduced him. From this union, the Banshees were born.

The Banshees are a species that resemble half woman, half bird. They have wings and birds legs instead of human limbs, but share a torso and head identical to humans. Some have bright, colorful plumes running form their foreheads to their tails. Others have dry, dapper colors, and more human features. What is remarkable about the Banshees is that they are one of few species that depend entirely on mating with humans for sexual reproduction.

Banshee society is nomadic. They choose to fly with the seasons, following the warmth. They will commonly form large family groups that roost together for their entire lives, and communally raise their young. In order to mate, Banshees must find a human male. No union with other species has ever yielded offsping.

Occasionally, a male Banshee is born. These males are larger and hardier than their female counter parts, but are infertile. Commonly, they will be used as hunters or defenders of the group.
