  53. The Turtles continue to live in the shadows and no one knows they were the ones who took down Shredder. Vernon is the one everyone thinks is the one who took Shredder down. April O'Neill does some snooping and learns a scientist named Baxter Stockman is working for Shredder. He plans to break him out while he's bringing transported. April tells the turtles, who try to stop it but can't. Stockman tries to teleport Shredder but he some how ends up in another dimension and meets a warlord named Krang who instructs Shredder to assemble a teleportation device he sent to Earth a long time ago. He gives Shredder some mutagen which he uses to transform two criminals who were also in the transport with him, Rock Steady and Bebop, into mutants. They then set out to find the device. April saw the transformation while investigating Stockman. She takes the mutagen and is chased by Shredder's minions, the Foot Clan. She is saved by a man named Casey Jones who was the one transporting Shredder. The Turtles show up and they try to work together. In the melee, the mutagen ends up with the police. Knowing Shredder will try and get it back, April tries to get it first and she asks Vern to help. Eventually she and Casey are arrested. The Turtles get the mutagen and Donatello analyzes it, learns it could make them human, which he tells Leonardo who tells him to forget it and not to tell the others. But Michelangelo tells Raphael who feels that Leonardo doesn't respect them.
  54. After facing Shredder, who has joined forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman and henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady to take over the world, the Turtles must confront an even greater nemesis: the notorious Krang.
  55. Gosh, this movie was so cool to watch! I don't know about you, but I enjoyed it so much. I love animations, and when it comes to also be a SF, damn, I dive in immediately. Although it might have some kinky scenes with the young and gorgeous Megan, in the beginning, kids and adults can easily share the table and watch it together. It was fun to watch, I must admit. And you should have this fun too. Go watch it.
  56. The trailer teases Bebop and Rocksteady, Shredder, Krang, and the return of the Technodrome. Also, Casey Jones. If all the characters of the original cartoon are back, we expect something of the original story dynamics, too. Krang is supposed to come up with some evil plan, which either Shredder (out of ambition) or Bebop/Rocksteady (out of stupidity) will screw up. Either Krang or Shredder will blow a fuse, hilarity ensues. On the good guy team, Casey or April will provide info or help out, maybe get into trouble, and the Turtles will deal with whatever new crazy threat Krang &amp;co have brought down on the city.<br/><br/>Instead .. how can I put this? The plot of the movie is just a series of events. That happens, then this happens, then this other thing happens. There&#39;s precious few dynamic character interactions that could make the story interesting: &quot;this character does this, so this character gets angry and does this, which causes the other characters to change their plans, which the consequence that..&quot; <br/><br/>The movie has a bad case of origin story disease. We don&#39;t want to see how Bebop and Rocksteady became Bebop and Rocksteady. We want to see Bebop and Rocksteady annoy Shredder and generally make a mess of things. We want to see Shredder and Krang bickering. Too much time is wasted on collecting the artifacts needed to summon the Technodrome, or worrying about the mutagen that Shredder used to create Bebop and Rocksteady, or contemplating Megan Fox&#39;s admittedly fine physical attributes. As a result Krang and Shredder have almost nothing to do except stand around. The Technodrome is literally gone before it arrives. Even on the Turtles side, the story is so rushed that there is no time for them to be confused or undecided about what to do, no time to ask Splinter for advice, no time to get to know Casey, or to contemplate alternative plans of action. It&#39;s just do this, fight this, go there... <br/><br/>And speaking of Casey Jones. He&#39;s supposed to be a scruffy brawler, someone who takes a shower once a week at best, who likes the Turtles sewer hideout because it smells nicer than his apartment. Not this guy.<br/><br/>On the plus side, Bebop/Rocksteady are done really well and steal the movie. Kudos to Micheal Bay for making them a mixed-race gay couple, that was a nice gesture. Krang is also pretty great, he just isn&#39;t given enough agency. The Technodrome for what we saw of it looked awesome. And overall the movie, from a technical standpoint is really impressive.<br/><br/>It&#39;s just that if you want a fun Turtles movie you gotta let the characters interact with each other, and not just participate in a scripted string of action set pieces.
  57. The movie suffers from being the same shape as so many modern blockbusters, and the plot in the second half of the film is basically another riff on the “reach the glowing doodad on a roof to prevent the end of the world” structure. But the focus on the Turtles and the film’s overall amiable sense of goofball humor carries the day.
