~Café Reunion~

The bell jingled, signaling another customer entering the café.

"MACK!"

The said person tensed at the sound of that voice. He looked towards the voice's direction, but a blur of blue greeted him before he could process anything. They tackled him. He internally thanked his lucky stars that this was something he was used to.

"How're you doing?"

Cheerful as always, he noted, along with how loud and embarrassing it was for him. Mack chose to temporarily ignore the person and turned to the customer he was serving a while ago before the interruption.

"Your order will be ready in a few minutes, ma'am. I apologize for the delay and distraction."

It was only met with a chuckle from them.

"It's alright, young man."

"It won't happen again, ma'am"

"Now, now, tend to your girlfriend for the time being. She seems to be getting pretty impatient."

"Oh, you have no idea, ma'am," he muttered.

Mack grabbed the newcomer's hand and dragged them to the sides.

"Jay, coffee latte for the lady at table 7," he said when he passed by the counter.
"You got it"

He let go of their hand once they reached the cafe's side, slightly hidden from the other customer's prying eyes.

"What was that about?" He raised an eyebrow at her.

"Mean-! Ignoring me even after we didn't see each for a few years! Hmph."

He sighed. "I missed you too, Lala."

"Ohhoho, you're not off the hook yet, mister," she said as if chastising him for his previous behavior.

"Please just stay there until my shift is over. Then I promise that we'll catch up."

He was about to go back when he turned and asked, "Do you want anything, anyways?"

"Your company would be--"

"Denied, other than that," he countered with a deadpan tone and an expression to match it.

Leyla looked like she was in thought before giving another answer, "I wouldn't mind if you give me a kiss~" It was just a joke.

Mack tsked in reply, "I'll give you one later, Lala." He went back to doing his work, leaving a confused Leyla behind.

"Huh?"
