Okarthelian Calender
-Years are divided into groups, named for the progression of a dragon's life. Each grouping is 200 years, and years are refereed to by which year the are in a category. The calender of years started the year Okarthel was founded, with the First Year of the Egg

--The years will cycle once they reach the end.

-There are 9 months in a year, each with 40 days. A week is 10 days long. There are 5 feasting and worship days signifying the end of Winter before the next year begins in the Spring. The months are:

--Burningblaze (Summer)
--Emberblaze (Summer)
--Goldsleep (Fall)
--Flightsleep (Fall)

-Days of the Week:
--Irkear

The Week begins on Irkear.

-The five feast days are days of celebration, food, and revelry, filled with parties and tributes to the gods, especially Corellon and Pelor. All are excused from non-vital work for these days. Each day, no matter of year, has the same name:
--Kepla'nasle, the day of Preparation. The feasts and parties are readied this day.
--Tiichi, the day of Blessings. The day is spent in quiet worship to one's god(s) of choice to wish for a good year.
--Vaeri, the day of Dance. Parties, dancing, and song are begun this day.
--Gribkoan, the day of Feasts. Food and Drink and Merriment are all that matters this day.
--Vdri, day of Rest. All people rest and relax this day.

-Zodiac
--The Zodiac in Okarthel is based on the phase of the moon when one is born. There are 10 different signs:
---Metztli (New Moon): Those born under Metztli have a reputation as quiet, scholarly types and artists. They can be shy or reclusive, however. Metztli people tend to become Wizards or Sorcerers.
---Awilix (Waning Crescent): The sign of Awilix is also known as the sign of Battle, and those born under it have a reputation for being brave and stong warriors, playing professional sports or even just making weapons. Some of the best Fighters, Monks, and Barbarians are of this signs.
---Soma (Third Quarter): Soma people are good with their hands. They are crafters of many kinds, from the smallest beads to the biggest cathedrals. They are hardy people, and make superb Alchemists.
---Jarilo (Waning Gibbous): The sign of hunters, people of the Jarilo sign have a way with animals, and are quiet and observant. They learn fast and well. They make very good Druids, Rangers, and Shamans.
---Khonsu (Full Moon): Khonsu people are witty, intelligent, and charismatic, but not often wise. They make excellent Bards and Rogues, and delight in jokes and games.
---Achelois (Waxing Gibbous): The sign of Achelois is a sign of the most holy, and in more deity-reliant communities, those born under this sign are often recruited to become Clerics and Paladins. People born of this sign can be very stubborn, but also stand firm in what the believe.
---Nikkal (First Quarter): The sign of Nikkal has a reputation toward charismatic types, for better or worse. A Nikkal person could be a great Warlord, or a clever conman. People of this sign are also said to be very good lovers, and great public speakers, never shy or afraid.
---Zwezda (Waxing Crescent): The people of the Zwezda sign are very emotional, mercurial and ever-changing personalities of many kinds. Th sign of Zwezda boasts a large number of Pisonics of many kinds in those born under its influence.
---Apophis (Lunar Eclipse): Quite possibly the rarest Sign, those born under Apophis are regarded with suspicion and have a tendency toward the darker side of magic.  Those born under Apophis make very skilled Warlocks.
---Matrones (Triple Moon): A very strange (as well as recent) addition to the Okarthelian Zodiac, Matrones-signed people are not born under the magical Triple Moon, but instead conceived under it. Almost all children of the Triple Moon are female, and have wild, untamed magic rushing through their veins, often of the Fey variety. Some dispute this sign's inclusion in the average zodiac, as it is very difficult to tell someone is of the Triple Moon until the power manifests, which could be years or decades.
