As it stands we take people from the most relatively alien parts of the world, under the twin assumptions they will integrate and it will be fine if they dont anyway. While neither pans out, for whatever reason one cares to imagine, and shows no sign and certainly no guarantee of working out in the future. Proponents cant and dont answer this condundrum. Curiously, all failures on the part of the newcomers are blamed on native racism. Which strains credulity since it operates under increasingly abstract systems of privilege for the natives while all the recognizable perks belong to the newcomers. But even if it were true simply presents a new flavor of the previous bind. Western Europe is the most tolerant, welcoming, egalitarian region on the globe. So if the inhabitants of this region prove to still fall short of what it takes for this experiment to work we should shelve the experiment rather than continue under such conditions, especially when lessening immigration is very popular.
