Despite the previously calm weather, a crack of thunder splits the air and the house is lit up by a flash of lightning. You hear a voice that sounds almost like that of your friend, but distorted and echoing, cry out, "Offero anima mea ad tenebras! Erit quorundam fidem meam!"

The lightning strikes again, and with it comes a gale of wind that chills your soul to its core. Suddenly, everything goes dark.

Right Now
If the Pentagram Chamber is not yet in play, search through the room stack until you find it and place it anywhere in the basement.

Put a number of Soul tokens (light green) equal to the number of heroes in the Pentagram Chamber. The tokens are your disembodied Souls. Each hero takes control of one Soul from now on.

What You Know About the Bad Guys
The traitor has taken control of your physical bodies using the mystical powers of the Crystal Ball.

----

You Win When …
… everyone's Soul is in the same room as the traitor.

----

Souls
Your traits as a Soul are the same as your body's traits. If your body's traits increase or decrease, so do your Souls'.

You can use your items, but can't transfer them to other explorers. You cannot pick up or acquire new items in any way. You can explore up to two new rooms in a turn, but cannot draw any cards in any way. You may no longer attack or be attacked, and are no longer effected by room text that deals damage (You can still fall through the Collapsed Room, but do not take any damage).

If You Win …
Those who seek the Darkness shall find the Darkness, and those who seek a body shall find one. What good fortune then that there's a spare body here that no one is using! All of your souls converge on it at once, and in a torrent of energy, your so-called friend's body is torn apart.

The storm calms down in an instant and your soul returns to its body, good as new.
