Dear Members of the 17th ASSU Undergraduate Senate,

I have been coming to ASSU meetings for 4 years, since 2012.  I served two terms on the Senate, where issues regularly became heated, and people regularly lacked respect for one another and the work that they did.  Ilya was on Senate with me and had to be censured for shouting and swearing at an administrator.

But even with all of that, never once have I been so thoroughly disgusted with this body.  Never once have I felt so utterly disrespected that I was compelled to leave the room.  I have deep respect for you all as individuals, and because of that I may not be sending my comments to the Daily despite the fact that this body lacked the same respect for me.  But I want you to know that the incompetence of the 17th ASSU Senate is astounding, gravely disappointing, and truly historic.

Congratulations to all those who were re-elected - it is my hope that the 18th ASSU Undergraduate Senate will leave a legacy worth celebrating.
