Monster Sanctuary Blob Leader Challenge

Blob Leader Challenge
This is like Final Fantasy XIII where if the leader gets knocked out, it's game over. In that game you can retry, so punishment is somewhat lacking. However, you still must be creative as leaders are the only ones that get certain perks. In my Monster Sanctuary run, having a designated leader will be a hindrance because I will not be allowed to swap out this monster and if it is knocked out then I have failed.
To encourage myself to be more careful with knockouts in general, I will be utilizing permadeath as a game mode option. I am also pre-emptively banning myself from opening Blob Eggs specifically, aside from the very first egg I get which is mandatory to be hatched before doing anything else once I get it. I can still hatch other varieties of Blob monster like Lava Blob, just not the 'Blob' Blobs.
I could choose a more powerful monster and maybe I will sometime but that will depend on how this run goes. Perhaps I'll do a Tar Blob Leader Challenge on hard mode? Who knows.
I'm probably going to be doing a bravery mode version of this with the very first egg later. I guess you could do this without bravery mode or even the permadeath mode if you just wait until you get a certain monster you like or you could even do this with NG+ with the monster already recruited(like Tar Blob), which would make the hard mode presumably easier to manage.
