- It was far nicer on the outside than it was in, anyway.
- The sun shone brightly as Dylerun would lead the duo to the Azraelite statue. Sounding, for a moment, like a genuine old man the Oscuri leaned backwards, simply falling to sit instead. A hand would rummage into his pocket a moment, searching, before a pipe would be withdrawn. Clenched between his teeth, a light spark would ignite the end. A gentle puff sending the faintest bit of smoke drifting upwards.
- "I have no more to teach you."
- "Everything I have taught you is everything I know. Everything you've done, you've accomplished it yourself. Through your own power. You have the training, and you have the capabilities. If you so wish, you can take this knowledge and make it your own." A soft exhale, smoke being blown upward. "You've shown yourselves capable."
- "So I ask you. Is there anything else you wish to know?"
- (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
- That felt... anticlimactic, at best.
- For one reason or another, he'd expect that there was going to be another lesson of something they needed to know. But maybe he just overestimated how much of Riftmancy there is to learn? Looking back at it, it wasn't even that complicated, when actually broken down into pieces of how it works.
- To memorize the spots, to reflect on them, to create a warp towards those, and act with utmost confidence.
- And... that's it? Unexpected. Arthur pondered on any possible question he might have- quite literally anything that could be asked here and now, and yet, he could not really come up with anything.
- Maybe he was taught that well?
- "I, uh--"
- "I actually do not think I have any other questions, Sir."
- (Arthur Rowan)
- The last class for the first season, huh? It was only befitting that they did it outside, after all. A faint smile resides on her features as she keeps the journal tucked away this time around.
- Honestly, the classes had helped her. Not that she'd vocalize much of it in this instance. "No questions at the moment, no." She speaks with a small nod of her head.
- A brief glance is given toward the rest of the people that had shown up. It felt thin compared to other classes, hm?
- (Zetes Aradel)
- Rea, having caught up with the rest of the crowd immediately assumed that she'd missed something important, as the end of class warranted a confused look from the female.
- "Oh..." She rubs her chin, and hopes to think of any questions that'd come to mind. As of now, she felt knowledgeable enough to pursue mastery over such an art. A hand motions up to cup her own cheek, lips poked out softly in thought.
- "Nope. I think I'm pretty good too."
- (Rea)
- "Sometimes I...forget, how young some of you are."
- The old man would sigh as he adjusted himself on the foot of the statue. The scent of flavored cherry slowly drifting from the pipe as he exhaled. "Its easy, when someone is there to show you how to do things. To teach you what you need to know. You have all been given it far easier than the past, thats for sure. And some of you may wonder why I bothered...trying to have another class, or why I bring that up and am rambling now."
- "I have nothing more to teach. Everything else, from here forward, you will have to make your own. The pursuit of the Art, if you so choose. Other teachings that this Academy provides." The single eye would drift acrossed the students almost ominously as he continued speaking. "Who you are. The key has been handed, and put to the lock. We've managed to turn it, slowly, reassuringly, but it falls to your hands to open the door that leads to the rest of your lives."
- "You must earn your stories."
- Something he had said often. Something he perhaps enjoyed to say too often, for a man who carried his stories with him like a lead weight tied to his foot. "You have made me proud. Very few people have managed to get me to say that." The pipe would be removed as the man would slowly begin to rise.
- "...Class dismissed."
- (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
- Their stories must be earned.
- It's something that he fully convinced himself of already- it's something that the young Valmasian was very well aware of, and every single day there was at least one form of a challenge to him. Be it grasping new tiers of magic, or simply dealing with something challenging? It doesn't matter. Everything was faced properly.
- And just like every other challenge, this could be yet another one.
- To go out and actually grasp the Art? It's certainly not an easy feat, and perhaps something that Arthur would not be able to do anytime soon, especially considering just how much divided his focus was. Perhaps, with time, that would change and he would get to knowing this technique after all.
- "Thank you for your teachings, Sir."
- As of now, there was nothing else for Arthur to say. Just as he said, from now on - their story is their own.
- (Arthur Rowan)
