- [Scene1]
- Fei: Schlain-saaan, I'm so boooored.
- Fei: Come on, can I go play a bit?
- Shun: Fei, you're supposed to be my pet monster, so you can't just walk around by yourself.
- Fei: Then stop reading those dumb books and let's go somewhere!
- Shun: Just a little bit longer, I'll stop after this book.
- Shun: Wah! ...Ahem.
- Shun: Stop breathing into my ears!
- Fei: Hehe, did you feel that?
- Shun: As if!
- Katia: Shun, good morning.
- Katia: What are you reading so earnestly?
- Shun: G-good morning Katia. This is-
- Katia: "A Complete History of Spells"?
- Shun: Yeah, I found it in the library.
- Shun: This one seems to be the easiest to read.
- Katia: How very studious of you.
- Hugo: Have you always been such a nerd?
- Katia: How rude of you Hugo. After all, he is a prince of the Analeit Kingdom.
- Hugo: Not what I meant. I was asking if Yamada was always this much of a nerd.
- Katia: Hugo! He is Prince Schlain and nothing more.
- Katia: Please refrain from saying anything that would expose our pre-reincarnation lives.
- Shun: Maybe not before, but right now I am in a position where I have to study.
- Hugo: I know right...
- Fei: Weren't you a crown prince too? Are you actually studying?
- Hugo: Yeah, or rather I'm being forced to study.
- Shun: You are the future Sword King of Renxandt after all.
- Hugo: I wonder how long it will be before we finally have some real combat practice.
- Hugo: Day in day out, it's just boring lecture after boring lecture.
- Shun: But they told us in class that learning the theories will become the foundations of magic.
- Shun: It's dangerous if you try to perform magic without understanding it.
- Hugo: That's nothing more than an excuse.
- Hugo: Be it magic or skills, you'll never get any better if you don't use them!
- Yuri: Quite right, Hugo. Skills are there to be raised.
- Hugo: Hah, Yuri. You get what I'm saying.
- Yuri: Why do you think we are born with skills?
- Yuri: It's so that we can train them and improve ourselves, gaining even more skills!
- Hugo: Yeah!
- Yuri: And what do you think is at the end of that?
- Hugo: Obviously, becoming the strongest!
- Yuri: No.
- Hugo: Huh?
- Shun: Um, what is it?
- Yuri: The Word of God!
- Yuri: By raising our skill levels and improving ourselves, we slowly but surely get closer to God.
- Yuri: And by hearing God's voice, we will remember our mission to-
- Fei: (This is gonna be pretty annoying. Stop her already, Shun.)
- Shun: Um, so what skills does everyone have?
- Shun: You must have had yourselves appraised a while back, right?
- Yuri: A talk about skills? I want to know too!
- All: (Good job!)
- Fei: I have a skill called Earth Wyrm.
- Fei: Well rather than a skill it's kinda like my race.
- Shun: My skill is Divine Protection.
- Hugo: What, being protected by your kingdom isn't enough?
- Shun: That's not a skill, more like my... family?
- Fei: Can't you come up with any better examples?
- Hugo: What kinda skill is it?
- Shun: The description is "More easily gain the desired results in any situation."
- Hugo: Ho, sounds just like a blessing.
- Shun: ...Apparently.
- Hugo: Apparently!?
- Shun: It's not really something I can activate by my own will.
- Shun: Since it's on all the time, it's a bit hard to feel the effects.
- Hugo: What about you, Ooshima?
- Katia: Karnatia Seri Anabald.
- Hugo: Yeah yeah, what of Lady Karnatia?
- Katia: Ah yes, I have the skill Conversion.
- Yuri: Conversion?
- Katia: It allows me to return skills back into skill points.
- Katia: In other words, I am able to reallocate my skill points.
- Hugo: Hoho, not bad!
- Katia: ...Apparently.
- Hugo: You too!?
- Katia: It seems like the return rate isn't 100%.
- Katia: So it's essentially a skill that ends in a loss each time you use it.
- Fei: A skill that always causes a loss? Why does it even exist?
- Katia: That's why I've never used the skill even once.
- Hugo: Guess you failed the skill lottery.
- Yuri: That's no good, we have to keep using our skills to level them up!
- Yuri: Hugo, at least you're training your skills, right?
- Hugo: Yeah, because my skill is the strongest.
- Fei: Hmph, and what is it?
- Hugo: Emperor.
- All: Emperor?
- Hugo: It improves the effects of all skills.
- Yuri: Wow that sounds useful!
- Hugo: Also it has the ability to inflict Fear via intimidation.
- Hugo: Heh, sounds like something worth training, right?
- Shun: (Rather than a skill, isn't that just like Natsume's attitude?)
- Katia: (It's pretty impressive that the skill matches his personality so perfectly.)
- Yuri: (I wonder if that's also on all the time.)
- Fei: (Even if you don't train it, you're already at the max level of overbearing.)
- Hugo: Why did all of you suddenly go silent!? This is an amazing skill!
- Fei: (Now he's trying to intimidate us.)
- Shun: Hasabe-san, er Yuri, what about you? Did you have an interesting skill?
- Yuri: Yes, Dreaming Maiden.
- Shun: Uh okay, and the skill?
- Yuri: Yes... Dreaming Maiden.
- Katia: Uh-huh, so what's the skill?
- Yuri: Dreaming Maiden! That's what the skill is called!
- Fei: Ugh, sounds like a chuuni name.
- Shun: Oh, the skill is Dreaming Maiden, huh.
- Katia: The name certainly has some impact...
- Hugo: This better not be some weird psycho thing.
- Yuri: Jeez, you're all laughing at me inside aren't you?
- Katia: Of course not. So what does it do?
- Yuri: It allows me to record a certain number of dreams when I sleep.
- All: So maidenly!
- Yuri: I've had enough of this! I'm not telling you!
- All: Wait, wait!
- Katia: We're sorry.
- Hugo: It was just a little too on the nose.
- Yuri: Mrgh. I'm sure you're making fun of me now.
- Shun: So what do you do with the recorded dreams?
- Katia: If a cute girl shows up, you watch it again!
- Fei: A replay function, really?
- Yuri: I'm being serious here!
- Yuri: The recorded dreams can be deployed as a dungeon in subspace!
- Katia: Eh? So you can materialize them?
- Yuri: It's only inside subspace, so it's not as if they are truly real.
- Hugo: And you can enter that dungeon?
- Yuri: Of course!
- Fei: Sounds fun!
- Shun: Like a real escape the room game.
- Yuri: It's more real than that. Getting attacked by the monsters inside will deal actual damage.
- Hugo: Hmm, so what dreams do you have recorded?
- Fei: Wow, this insensitive guy trying to ask about a girl's dreams.
- Hugo: Shut your trap.
- Yuri: I always record adventurous dreams, especially when stuff like dragons show up!
- Hugo: A real dragon, that's pretty amazing!
- Fei: There's one real dragon right here.
- Hugo: You mean a lizard.
- Fei: Shut it, I'm still in the middle of growing.
- Shun: I didn't think Yuri was the type to enjoy that adventure stuff.
- Yuri: Hehe, I'm using them to train so those kinds naturally show up more often.
- Shun: Train?
- Yuri: Yes, using the dungeons as a training spot. Fighting in there will still increase your level.
- Shun: I see, so you have fun in the dungeon while training your skills.
- Hugo: Only the skill user can enter, or can you take others in with you?
- Yuri: I've never tried, but it might be possible.
- Hugo: Bring me too then. The "Dreaming Emperor"!
- Yuri: Eh?
- Katia: But why?
- Hugo: No combat practice, no fighting monsters, absolutely nothing to train my skills.
- Hugo: It's unfair that Yuri is the only one whose skills are rising so fast.
- Yuri: Um, that's...
- Hugo: So what do you think about this little monopoly, Yuri?
- Katia: Did you activate your Emperor skill right now?
- Hugo: No! I'm just saying I should make use of any opportunity to raise my skills!
- Fei: Really, the nerve of this insensitive guy.
- Hugo: What is it now, lil' lizard?
- Fei: Listen up, you're asking a girl to let someone else into a materialization of her dreams. Let alone a man.
- Fei: Of course she wouldn't want that!
- Hugo: But Yuri is the one that said skills are meant to be raised.
- Yuri: Indeed, that's exactly right.
- Shun: Yuri?
- Yuri: Taking away the chance for someone to raise their skills is unacceptable.
- Yuri: Hugo's words have opened my eyes.
- Hugo: Heh, exactly.
- Yuri: I guess you are capable of saying good things.
- Hugo: You didn't need that last part!
- Yuri: I'll use my skill to help raise the skills of others, and that will surely improve my own skills even further!
- Yuri: This is a wonderful chance to train not just myself, but the people around me!
- Yuri: Yes, this must be God's guidance!
- Katia: She has the eyes of a dreaming maiden right now!
- Yuri: Let's all train our skills together, hand in hand!
- Yuri: Everyone gather up after class and we'll start right away!
- Shun: Eh?
- Katia: Are you including us in there as well?
- Yuri: Of course! If we're doing it, then it has to be everyone.
- Hugo: It's fine if I'm the only one leveling up.
- Yuri: But you're the one who said a monopoly was bad, Hugo.
- Fei: So what now, Shun?
- Shun: Well, it does sound interesting.
- Fei: Being frank, I was super bored anyways.
- Yuri: Then it's decided! Okay, Hugo?
- Hugo: Yeah, whatever.
- Oka: You guys look like you're talking about something fun.
- Shun: Uwah! Sensei!? How much did you hear?
- Oka: Everything after the dreaming maiden part.
- Katia: Oka-chan seems really into this for some reason.
- Oka: If you're going on a field trip, then you need to take a guardian along with you.
- Hugo: You're not a teacher anymore though.
- Oka: Are you trying to leave me out?
- Fei: Ugh, here comes the annoying adult.
- Shun: Well isn't it more fun if more people come along?
- Katia: I'm starting to get a bit excited for this too.
- Yuri: Alright, then let's head to the western forest right after class.
- [Scene2 - Kumoko]
- Ehhh, I just had a terrible dream.
- The wind suddenly whooshed around me, then there was some kinda explosion.
- I was surrounded by weird special effects as my body was twisted apart.
- Such a terrible dream.
- Where am I?
- Eh, some old cottage? There's a fireplace and the roof is fairly high.
- If this was a thriller movie, it's the type of place you'd find one of the suspects dead.
- I remember being at the demon territory in a place overlooking the ocean.
- Wasn't I looking out at the ominous looking waters while having a nice tea time?
- What's going on?
- Gasp!
- It can't be! It can't be, but...
- Was that not a dream!?
- Whoosh. Boom. Twist.
- Then I died!? And reincarnated again!?
- Ehh!? A second reincarnation!? After I became kinda human-looking!?
- Argh... Nai wa...
- Well whatever. I've already been through being a spider so I should be used to it by now.
- And I'm also looking forward just a little to my new form.
- This house looks kinda beatdown, so this time it might be that thing.
- You know, born as a child to some poor family. Then I train my talent in magic?
- Or maybe I can make my way into some ballroom dance and put on some glass slippers?
- The ash covered princess? That's great!
- I've always been surrounded by spider threads and poison, so ash is way better!
- Come on, Cinderella story! Let's go!
- Hm? I tried to raise my fist, but right in front of me is...
- A pretty familiar looking leg.
- Okay, let's count how many legs I have. One, two...
- Three, four, five, six, seven, eight. That's eight arthropod looking legs.
- Oiii! A spider!? A spider again!? And I'm even more hairy than before?
- My feelers are glowing like they're decorative lights. This time I'm more gaudy? What's going on?
- Oi! Bring out whoever's responsible for this! I demand an explanation!
- I'll find you!
- Oiii! Who's responsible for this!
- Oiii! I am entitled to an explanation!
- Oiii! Where's the manager!
- Waaah!! Waah!!
- After going a short rampage, I have made quite the mess.
- But this is like my home right? It should be fine then if I'm the one breaking stuff.
- Okay fine! Fine! I get it.
- If I'm doing the spider thing again then let's hurry and get a move on.
- I can just leave through this door right?
- W-what is this? There's a spider web blocking the exit?
- Heh. Hahaha! Foolish, simply foolish!
- How long do you think I've been a spider?
- Any spider incapable of breaking through a web is not worthy of being a spider!
- Open up!
- Spider reincarnation, round 2. Let's get this started!
