background | rohee was born to a loving family in jeju and they were very happy. as the youngest rohee brought a lot of joy and brightness into her family with her adorable personality. their main source of income was her father who was a fisherman. but that all changed when their father got involved in a work accident that left his legs paralysed. because of this rohee became quite mature for her age as she often helped her mother to take care of her father during that time but he began to change as he became withdrawn and often had mood swings. he developed depression after being unable to work or do anything and suicided after a few years later. rohee was already getting bullied/excluded as a child from having a father that was disabled and this got worse after her father's death with whispers that followed her everywhere. after her father's death both her mother and brother had shut down and rohee felt that they couldn't stay this way and tried to cheer them up. she was also emotionally impacted by the death but there was something in her that wanted to fix this and help her family move on. she was able to do this and persuade her mother to move from jeju to seoul as there were too many memories there after her brother had graduated and she finished her 2nd year of high school. they were going to start anew in seoul where there weren't memories that would make them sad or people that would whisper and judge them.
