I think the reason I like seofon myself is like... I suppose in a similar way to Palmer. Like he's an accomplished swordsman and (somewhat)  well respected. But his description is also "Seofon seems rather carefree for the leader of the Eternals, but he's actually a proud and driven man."
And I really, really like confidence and I like the mention of pride
Because I mean even if most of his disses are jokes are taken lightly, I imagine it still gets to him sometime
And it'd be fun to explore while still also acknowledging the lackadaisical air he uses most of the time can still be sincere.
I like the Ara ara i guess lmao. Where even if he doesn't seem reliable, he is.
I'd like to be that sort of person I guess.

Honestly I'd feel like he's the sort of guy just too dedicated to his swords and his responsibility in taking care of others, but it'd be nice to have someone focus on him too.

I guess it kinda supports my theory how in fictional couples, while yeah you might have a self insert or project on a character, I feel like the character one wants to be romanced by also reflects the fantisizer, not just in a "this is who I like" sort of way, but also a sort of mirror of themselves or an ideal self

I like the exploration of "do you like me even without the pedestal"  for characters like that, even if it isn't something I necessarily do for myself lol
Like I feel like... He's a secretly very selfish person but it isn't a bad thing
He does a lot of great things! Like help out people and form the Eternals and take care of children and all that, pays for meals and shoppinf and the whole nine yards. And I think he does sincerely enjoy it.
But that can't be all a man is.
Although the more I think about it, I don't know what else he is. I do think the private moments he could steal would be hot tho lmfaooo

And it's like........... he shouldn't feel prideful because that's "bad" but he's still doing good, but because he isn't doing it without complete disregard for himself, he still feels like it's something shameful?

The darkness within people who do good, who are good, who might even be paragons of goodness...... Not as an objective evil that corrupts and twists them, but as self-doubt, believing themselves to not be what their outside "persona" is.............. Where does precieved evil become real evil? Where is the line between "fake" and "real"? That's the kind of subject matter I love to explore.

Like I feel like he does have a strong sense of Justice, whatever that may be, and that he's a good person! I'm not sure if necessarily faults himself for also feeling personal satisfaction from doing good things but I think the lack of respect would get to anyone by a certain point, and you saw the chat logs I posted

Like he's quick to spout noblesse oblige and spiderman so I think he strives in his own way and typically succeeds. I think gbf gives us a lot of his outside flaws.

And he beats the other Eternals up (same things happen in their own fate episodes so ayy)
But it like
Climates in djeeta/protag straight up willing to kill him because until the last second it seems as if he's too far gone
Which is a bit of a reflection because that's when you're, um, uncapping him for the last time. Idk if fgo has that going on.
But it's like, when you're making the sword in the first place, which you have to do to make him, he's always stressing the responsibilitu the person wielding this super strong sword will have.

And it's kinda alluded that he's always keeping an eye on you once you recruit him. And he's always quick to say that he trusts in you and where you'll go, but he's ready, and he has fought you before to see if you were strong enough to protect the sword from falling into the wrong hands.
Like it didn't say he'd kill djeeta but if she got too power drunk he'd probably fuck her up

So it's the conundrum between being responsible, even to a point of mental strictness, but pushes a laid-back persona. Could you say that the laid-back way he projects himself is half-truth - a persona built off being strong enough to protect and defend himself and those he values - while the side of him that does have this mental fortitude is his "real face" and he wants to be this laid back guy who can take care of anything, but at the same time he worries if he actually can, or, barring that, knowing he can but being afraid that others cannot and at the end of the day he will not be able to protect those he cares for due to their own lack of mental fortitude that he cannot control, and thus must turn his blade against those he wanted to care for?
IDK everything you're telling me is really interesting so im trying to fit the pieces together

I feel like he does take pride in his ability to run damage control both secretly and blatantly. In a lot of the other eternals' uncapping episodes he's shown to see that they're having a hard time, whether about possession or not, and he both confronts them directly in an encouraging manner (like asking six if he wants power because of his past or for his future)  while also pulling favors and working with others behind the persons back to make sure they meet up and they offer their own way of approaching the problem. I feel like the laid back persona is both a way to make him purposefully seem more... Approachable? Like no one obviously takes him seriously and he takes it mostly in stride, at least out loud. I do feel like he does have concern about being able to do what he needs to at the end of the day not out of moral obligation - again fucking up a sixteen year old - but out of a lack of power himself.
He's not as blatant as some of the others who straight up have their character arc exploring their need for power for whatever reason, though. I feel cheated that his uncapping is about him being possessed but there is something about how he thought he was strong enough to take care of the sword by himself
