Hello Winterco, the last coalition update was 3 months ago. We are only going to talk about our border today. This will include a bit of background history, recent changes in the geopolitics then finally my decision forward and the possible consequences.

Fast forward 1.5 year ago, Volta CEO and I reached an informal NIP after we both lost interests seeking contents from each other. It guaranteed our border, no structure or sov game, also included that renters are off limits in Deklein/Branch. We had a quiet backyard thanks to it, until Volta’s coalition started to house whoever’s willing to join them for a mini-coalition. Among which you are familiar with Scumlords, Toilet paper as a corp and BOSS alliance. The last hope of midscalers we evicted from Vale. Scumlord couldn’t cause an issue; all 3 active members are well tamed. Our french friends after failing in lowsec went back licking wounds, then found a hobby of hitting our renter structures. And boss alliance, even after we killed every Venal structure, still pinging about us all day. Except now they don’t live in Venal but comfortably settled in Fade/Deklein, under volta’s protection. They are all still there, enjoying the benefits of a functional nullsec coalition. Every time the pings and notification pops remind me I was made a fool by volta.

I sent my concerns to 3 volta leadership, and said these haters will go one way or another. They pushed me around like they were too busy. Nobody showed up answering my questions . SFC later insisted that he stick to his end of the deal while he probably had no idea what his alliance was doing last week. A wake up call was required then. When we dispatched a team to Fade I finally got a signal from GTC emergency sota and sixty five INIT dreads with several freighters loaded with building materials in 6RCQ.

All nullsec alliances seek security. They either make solid deals with neighbours or push the threats far enough. Imperium has one buffer in Cloud Ring and another in Esoteria. Panfam has a pact with us based on years of mutual interests while still needing someone in the south, on top of the insane regional gaps.
The war going on in the south right now is the result of two blocs arguing about which neutral state is suitable for them. We tried but concluded the Volta AFK leadership can not accommodate the growing animosity they absorbed. SFC was swallowing every body into his rank without thoughts about who he took in. They let it spiral out of control.

My decision is to purge. For anything I can’t trust or reason, I would toast then smash it into ashes. Their leadership will never be intimidated or bound by threats. Their core members are willingly overstepping the terms for more conflicts. Therefore this isn’t a group I can rest a paper with. We are lucky the western border was stable for more than a year, though this remains to be a potential threat. Only recent events have infinitely reinforced my impression thus finally pushed me to the decision. It’s our sword of Damocles and yes it takes one very skeptical mind to know another paranoid troubled man.

We are at war as of right now. The objective is to remove the enemy leadership in the two regions Fade and Deklein. We will kill their ihubs then invite other more sensible entities to live in the area. Fraternity will not hold the space after volta is removed from above. The decision was presented to alliance execs last Saturday where they unanimously supported the action. We then started to prepare the logistics and planning till this proper moment. Volta has started their narrative of them being the last deserving midscale alliance to fight for and shady FRT menace is set onto another land grabbing. They will want sympathy and support from others; they will get a lot of echoes. They will manipulate the xenophobia and our inability to respond to them on reddit as a weapon. Meta games are indeed part of eve but I will state the fact that we have been fighting the same people for 2 years. This isn’t the start of a new war but the final escalation of the past. Haters found a new home, which we’re gonna raze till no one within 10 light years dares to scheme against us. Of course the NPC stations are free.

This won’t be easy at all given we are fighting two functional EUTZ-main alliances plus an arsehole load of batphones. Volta themselves are a group of experienced old time players with talents and disciplines. We have to outdo ourselves here again. Don’t think it will be a quick sprint headshot, it will be a painful long drag. However nothing will stop us at this point, one will leave the area and that’s not Winter co.

As for Brave, they were never mentioned anywhere though volta still immediately dragged the meatshield. Getting used to the support from outside will turn you to a subject of your benevolent overlord. The free stuff isn’t actually free. Upon their departure from Geminate I thought Brave figured this out already, that they will also have enough self respect to maintain independence. It was supposed to be a perfect neutral state between us and Imperium, open to fights and impartial. That’s why I sold, guaranteed the keepstar they now call home six weeks ago, that’s why I granted the full chain for their super fleet from Gemi to home(technically to C4C keep), and now their leaders indulged the image that Brave is under attack. Dunk knows fairly well the backgrounds but Brave welcomed their traditional image of underdog as a leverage in the conflict. They know very well how this happened but decided to bet on the side they feel have a better chance. It doesn’t take half a working brain to figure, but they are too scared of destabilizing northwest, quickly slipping into the strongest arm they feel. I want a stabilized northwest too but in my book Volta isn’t in. It’s inevitable now we will engage Brave on our path to C4C as they defend volta.

Here is what we will do in a specific short term, a few days; then I will lay out what the campaign will look like in the long term.

July 1, 1100EVE time. To protect our anchoring ROIR keepstar and DO6H fort if we can.

July 2, 1900EVE time. A state of the coalition where I would detail this update then take questions.

July 3, 1830EVE time. This is to kill a VOLTA anchoring fort in Branch.

All doctrines, ship classes will be ready for these operations.

In the mid to long term, there will be mostly EUTZ timers, but the war is in full timezone. Everyone who logs in should ask themselves if we do anything to harm the enemy or not.
Every reinforcement timers, roaming kills, gate camps, manufactured ships and morale post will get us closer to C4C. Srp is now in war time. You will earn money for losing ships. The SRP team also will issue isks once per day instead of per week. The Chinese were thrilled when people pointed out they are on the offensive as one single entity, not after 2018 when we attacked Solar fleet. Some of you are more familiar with offensive war but that’s rare for cntz. We all have much to learn ahead.

As I state our goal is to remove hostile leadership. What might end up eventually might be several outcomes. Any who starts a war would bear the risks too. The best result is of course we win, two regions cleared of hostility brave finally stand alone in PB. Volta back to thera, their pets absorbed or scattered etc etc.

However, we could be struggling with the notorious adm systems and then prolonged the campaign to over several months to the point every third party would like to interfere. Based on a recent public good guy survey Volta is far ahead of us because they now represent Brave. I’m quite used to being a minority unfortunately for them and we would put the entire northwest to a wasteland where no one would enjoy staying or living. Don’t let the single win or loss cloud your expectation. The war will be long. The key is to constantly pressure onto the enemy. They shouldn’t be logged in any moment without feeling the imminent invasion.
