In the middle of the chamber sat some kind of high-tech weaponized tank made of gleaming titanium and shaped like an egg. Its long laser cannon swung around, taking aim at a wall of shelves packed with toy animals. An electronic whine rose in pitch as the laser powered up, preparing to fire.
“Stop!” Superman shouted. “Do not fire that—”
BRRRRZZZZTTCK! The laser crackled out of the cannon and through the air, blasting the toys. BOOOOM! They were instantly obliterated. Fake fur filled the room.
